Statistically, there isn't much difference between the rate of killings in Nigeria and that of the US. |
wellmax: Trade fair complex or animal farm?I'm so sure this is a slaughter house not the fare complex as portrayed by the op. |
@Acidosis! It's really very disheartening that the state has been from bad to worse in recent yrs... But your idea of seizing that opportunity to insult the Igala people and as well spew hatred towards them has killed my zeal and enthusiasm to support you on this. You talk as if Igalas does not kick against em too... If you must know, corruption is ubiquitous everywhere in Nigeria, Kogi as a state isn't an exception. For the record, these men have done other good things for the state even when those things weren't/are consistent. It baffles me how you think that Okun as a people are better than the Igalas, that's a shabby act of reasoning. You act as if the Igalas are plagues whom you don't even want to co-habbit with... I wonder why you think you are better than them. Such a huge shame. Way back in my university days, I had friends from your tribe whom are good people and are humble, sometimes, they follow me to my home for weekends... I teach some of them on some courses and I didn't even look down on any of them. These governors paid all SSCE fees for more than 10yrs, they have built houses under the housing units in the state, they have been instrumental to relative peace in the state. Once more, if they are as selfish as you portray em, then, why would Ibrahim change the name of the state university to KSU? Lokoja water works, double lane township roads in all LG of the state. It's so funny how you won't talk about your house of assembly representatives and your local govt chairmen and councillors on how they have failed too... Why are you painting us black? What do you gain from doing that? Why do you think you people are better than us? Why do you act as if my people are plagues? Why are you generalizing things about us? |

Errrm... Mr Mugabe! I'm so sure he was imprisoned for fighting against the colonial parasites. If he hadn't stood up against em, he would have had his freedom all through. And his refusal to compromise landed him in prison. However, how are we sure that your entire freedom was not as a result of your compromise in order to buy yourself freedom? Just a question though. ![]() |
forgetting that Chinese cheap and fake products not only dominate the trade but stifle our local industries,” the statement said. The qualities of whatever comes in from china on a large scale were according to the request(s) and directives from the business merchants from here. And as for uncompleted projects since 2006, I bet it has to do with the consent of Nigerians (stake holders and workers) among them. Pls leave Jonathan out of this. Why must people criticize whatever someone decides to do? Na wa o...

Thanks so much guys... I really appreciate ur comments. I've been searching for others too... But non of the moves have materialised yet. |
After my NYSC since 2011 and Pgd in international relations a year later. I tried to get a job, but all my efforts to get a defined job (a well paying job) were to no avail. Perhaps cos of my discipline (Geography & Planning) I just can't say. Fast forward, the quest to get busy led to me into accepting a 15k NGO job as an office manager. Since the place is closer to where I stay. My boss used to be very understanding until a lady decided to join the organisation, she's well connected though. Things took another turn on thursday afternoon when the lady declined to stay with him in his office and came to my desk asking for my assistance to help format her phone's memory card. We got gisting and laughing in the process. Haven attended to her, she went back to him in his office and I noticed that my boss' mood changed. It all dawned on me on last week friday when my boss asked me to go wash his car, and started scolding and shouting at me, complaining that, I don't always wash his car, I don't sweep and clean his office, I feel too big and that's gonna be a problem, plus a host of other trivial sh*ts, all mostly in the presence of the girl. The girl isn't even a graduate yet, and she's way younger than I am, but when she decides to go out and buy anything, my boss will ask her to call on me and send me to go get whatever she wants for her. He will do whatever he can just to exercise authority over me in the presence of the girl. This girl has finally come to stay and work in this place and with everyday that passes by, my boss will look for opportunities to snap at me. I don't know how long this will continue, I don't know how much strength I have left in me to soak this pressure. Pls advice, what should I do? |
