I'll like to ask a layman's question:

.. since we produced the crude oil here, must we endorse the international oil price when supplying our local refineries? Can't govt sell to Dangote at cheaper prize and in return sells the refined products at cheap prize?

There were 3 away wins, and 2 draws last week. Your assertion is therefore VERY WRONG. 😎

Are you blind? I said that there are no constitutional Laws that restrict the State Governors from deploying state-recognized security outfits to provide security for state elections. What am I supposed to provide you with now? undecided

You are wrong. They can only escort him to his polling unit and back to his house. That's all. I'm not going to reply you again because you're too ignorant. Bye.

Are you suddenly blind or something? πŸ€”

That's the problem with you people. When you run out of idea, you turn it to insults.

Don't throw banter. I won't exchange any with you. Just provide us with the part of the law that allows ESC to be at the polling units or coalition centers, or to move sensitive and insensitive materials to polling locations.

That's not too much to ask.
Politics / Re: Edo Govt Says Nigerian Police IG Lacks Power To Suspend State-owned Security by richiemcgold: 5:29pm On Sep 13
Kobojunkieee:
So, there is no law that restricts the freedom of the State Governor to engage its own state-recognized security outfit during a state election? So what the heck have you been arguing about all of this while? πŸ€”

2. So, no law empowers stated-owned outfits AND there is equally no law restricting them from being deployed during a state election. So what in the world are you trying to argue then? πŸ€”

3. What is clear here is that you just want to engage in senseless debating ... πŸ€”

Provide us with the law na?

Here's the crazy thing here. You pretend you have better understanding of the Nigerian Constitution yet you have not provided even a single reference from the very constitution you claim you have an understanding of. πŸ˜•

Here's a challenge for you. Find us exactly where these ideas you keep projecting are situated in the Nigerian Constituioon. Let's take it there. undecided

I cannot quote a law that doesn't exist. I have told you there's no law that empowers state owned security outfit like amotekun, ESC etc to provide security for electoral processes. I've told you that they might be seen in the streets on that day, but you won't see them in places like coalition centers or polling units. What else do you want me to say? I'm expecting you to back up your claim with the exact law but you have not. You are only trying to turn the table. Why una come dull like this na? πŸ€₯ How many times will I explain before you grab the point?

The land on which the activity is being carried out remains State land; so long as residents of the state are involved, the state can and should provide additional security where it deems it necessary. undecided

You lack proper understanding of constitutional matters. This is not a land use act bro 🀣🀣🀣.
Politics / Re: Edo Govt Says Nigerian Police IG Lacks Power To Suspend State-owned Security by richiemcgold: 5:11pm On Sep 13
Kobojunkieee:
It is a state-recognized outfit that supplements security in Edo State, and the election in question is taking place, yes, in Edo State. So where does this claim of yours come from? undecided

2. Well, the decision not to have Amotekun provide security support during elections is entirely up to the Oyo State government. Nothing stops the Edo State Government from deploying its own security outfit in its state during elections as well. undecided

Governorship election is under the purview of federal govt. You can only deploy ESC for local govt polls.

... and BTW, the instances I gave happened in all the 6 southwest states. I never singled out oyo. I can see that you have no valid point. Bye
Politics / Re: Edo Govt Says Nigerian Police IG Lacks Power To Suspend State-owned Security by richiemcgold: 5:02pm On Sep 13
Kobojunkieee:
Wrong! undecided
ESC has no business with election. It is not within their jurisdiction. Remember osagie made reference to amotekun in that report. I was in southwest during the last general election and I noticed that amotekun were not directly involved. You could feel their presence in the streets but I didn't see any amotekun in the coalition centers and polling units. That's it.

Pls don't reply me if you don't have genuine argument to counter this opinion. πŸ™
Politics / Re: Edo Govt Says Nigerian Police IG Lacks Power To Suspend State-owned Security by richiemcgold: 3:27pm On Sep 13
ESC is constitutionally established, that's a fact, but unlike the police, army and other security operatives, ESC lacks the constitutional power of providing security for electoral process.

Nigeria Police may not have the power to ban ESC, but can surely suspend/disengage ESC from the coming election.

There are hundreds of private buildings that still stand strong despite been heavily flooded. I mean private buildings o! How come a public building couldn't withstand such flood. A prison for that matter. A newly built prison for crying out loud. Let's call a spade a spade, the actual reason was the use of substandard materials.

A similar incidence happened early this year in my hood. The owner of the phone is not really savvy, he won 3.5 million, a young boy who was helping him to run the betting on his phone wanted a share of 500k. The guy no gree. Before you know it, the mata don cast, na so area boys got wind of the mata. Na so their oga take over the mata. They seized the phone. They withdrew the money, gave the guy 1.5 million, gave the boy 200k, gave police 500k, the rest don enter voicemail.

The final result does not surprise me in any way. I only watched the first half and I didn't bother to see the second half because they were too wasteful in front of goals.

.. although Boniface would've scored a screamer in the first half; no thanks to the cross bar.
