Good evening to y’all great people
What capacity of stabilizer will be suitable for 4.2kw inverter to be able to charge it with grid power supply?

Please, I am not an installer o... grin, just a student of Solar System knowledge. The person is afraid simply because of his past experience. However, if you don't mind, state what your warranty entails. It is hard to find a vendor like you who can openly beats his or her chest on products without getting people to counter the claims, most especially on a Forum like Nairaland.
He’s the man bro…I was in a state of delima and frustration when I found this forum to rant about the shi**y battery someone did for me outside this forum and Valto was recommended for me on here and then I decided to give it a shot…It has been the best decision of my life ever since then and everyday I remember him in my prayers for he’s done a really perfect job with zero complaints!

Good morning.

Roughly same tier. Depends on value for money. I'd compare the wattage and price of both then pick whichever is the more affordable one.
Talking about seller…Techland is cheaper even with delivery fees and stuff.
Comparing panels, the Canadian panel is cheaper per wattage

Good morning great people of Nairaland🫡🫡🫡
Is Techland a reliable company(in terms of original product) to deal with?
Considering buying from them as delivery is swift compared to Fouani.
Jinko panels or Canadian panels…Which one should I rather go for?

Please any suggestion of a short blade ceiling fan that blows like it’s the end of the world but doesn’t consume more than 60W max?

AnyOne with very basic knowledge would tell you how Hybrid inverters are more efficient which is true. And sachet inverters are much more efficient than even the standard sized hybrid inverters.
All is good till they go bad; then you quickly realize probability of successful repairs often are low.

As for sachet inverter, that one is even worse. As in, they ain't really meant to be repaired to begin with.

Hence reason I always and often advocate for normal transformer based inverters.

Back in the days when the Naira wasn't as weak as it currently is; when cost of sachet inverters were reasonable, I could suggest one BUYs one while waiting to afford a New / Used standard sized inverter.
Even then, I never suggest anything above 1.5-Watts and at most 2. Anything above, just do yourself some good by getting the standard real thing.

But nowadays, with how weak the Naira is, and how unReasonably high the cost of a sachet inverter is, as a frugal person that I am, I wouldn't suggest sachet inverter to anyOne. You're better off buying a well USED inverter or a cheap used UPS than buy a sachet inverter; else it becomes a case of Penny wise Pounds foolish.

Because the moment it goes bad, na to throw way am. Just like you would when your Bluetooth earphones stops working. And they are quick to go bad.

So you see why I asked He doesn't. At end of the day, the only person who looses when things go awry is the client / customer.

Even some Used charge Controllers are more expensive than brand new ones of funny brands I see you guys advertising in here.

Have on several occasions, seen performance increase after replacing higher rated charge controllers with lower rated ones.

If Una like, make Una ignore the message because Una no like the messenger, na Una sabi.

RIP to GAZZUZZ. Wonder why the good ones don't last long.
This is a good write up except that Satchet Inverter repair probability when they go bad is low…Says whohuh
If this is your personal experience that they mostly can’t be repaired then it’s only because your engineer is either incompetent enough or has no idea on how to go with the repairs. #NoShades
Next time you should rather say you’ve never successfully repaired one rather than saying their probability is low when they go bad.
My satchet inverter was damaged by lightning and it was repaired, I’ve been using it ever since then without issues.
This is a public space and never say something is impossible just because your personal experience with it states that.
My hybrid inverter that was damaged by lightning has been with an engineer for more than 8months and I got a call last week that he couldn’t fix it….Traditional non hybrid inverters will always be more repairable than hybrid inverters.
If you have one that is currently bad and you need them repaired…Let me know so I can connect you to the right plug here on Nairaland.

Seconded. High amperage just means considerably higher cable costs, not sure why anyone would want that.
No MPPT has a 100% conversion rate, what charges a battery is current not high voltage so even though MPPT are meant to convert the excess voltage to current it’s not a 1:1 thing as there is nothing like a perfect system.

Don't bring YouTube into this place. Provide proof for your claim.
You said the 280Ah grade B cells you just advertised has been tested to be 300Ah.
Give the evidence.
I've sold different capacity of grade B cells to people here and I told all of them nothing but the truth.
I've also sold fully coupled battery packs with grade B cells to many people in this forum and I told them nothing but the truth.
May I ask how you got to know it’s grade B by just looking at it in picture?

Unless your earthing is done but professionals it will not be tested so you have no idea how reliable it is. People have had instances where lighting current goes to ground encounters resistance and then goes back into your home electrical installation. So it is preferable to put your lighting arrester seperate. Also note that unless your house is actually the tallest in the area, you may never have a lightning strike

I also advise that you install the arrester not on your building but in your detached overhead water tank gantry. That way you don't have to worry about surge currents induced by lighting current.
20 houses in all directions to where I stay, the house I live in is still the tallest…Maybe moving out is the best way to solve the problem.

If that's the case you have to invest in proper earthing and thunder arestor equipment
Is there anything else from the thunder arrestor equipment that I still need to get?

Sorry for this terrible experience bro.

You need to tweak up your installation if you must continue to use Solar and Inverter while living in that building.

1. You need a rain sensor switch. Most rain-sensing devices work by accumulating a set amount of rainfall before a switch is activated that interrupts the circuit from the controller and shuts off the system.

2. You need a contactor style of ATS that disconnects your Grid Input once Grid is Off which is most likely to happen once it starts to rain. Also in the same box, you will integrate a PV Rapid Shutdown Contactor that will be connected to the Rain Sensor. Once the sensor gives the command, these contactors will shut off all inputs to your Inverter.

3. You need to drive a 6ft or 8ft earth rod into the ground and use it as your earth if the building does not belong to you.

4. You need the appropriate SPDs, AC & DC RCBO MCBs for your PV, Inverter and Home loads. By appropriate I mean the amperage ratings must be appropriate to you devices. Eg. Don't go putting a 63A MCB between grid and your Inverter when your Inverter Input Current is rated 25A Max.

5. You need an experienced electrical personnel to do this connections. No need to go this route if you will not use a qualified technician to install them.

Though this might sound expensive, It's better than replacing or repairing your Inverter every rainy season. It's a must in Renewable Energy if you must use it.
My installation is off grid completely and not connected to grid.
Can I have your contact?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by RickyM(m): 9:58pm On Jun 28, 2024
zeestone99:
Get a double pole breaker between inverter and battery, also break your input, output and pv. Turn off your breakers when you are not home or it's raining.
If the building is not your house and you have no long term commitment to the house, you won't want to install proper earthing equipments.
I’m using the system for business for ice making so turning it off when I’m not at home means it will set it back for certain hours.

Is ur building the highest in its vicinity? What protective devices do you have for ur system? Is ur building earthed too?
Yes,It’s the highest in its vicinity.
Non at the moment, the first system that was installed for me was only with circuit breaker and that’s all.
By earthed do you mean thunder arrestor? If so, NO.
If you’re referring to the normal house earthing, people I met here claimed it’s bad already.

Hello to the great people of Nairaland!
This thunder issue is already messing with my mental state and it’s kind of making me wonder if God is punishing me somehow cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry
Just earlier this year my hybrid inverter got fried and then I decided to get a satchet inverter from one of the seller on here and the inverter been working perfectly fine carrying my two freezers and normal lighting points and charging of my devices.
Went to school yesterday to write an exam and then it started raining, sure can’t run out of examination hall to come home to turn off my system so along the way the thunder strike again and on getting home I realize the inverter isn’t supplying anymore.
Once again I’m without power supply and I have to go to charging stations to have my phone charged.
Please somebody save my dying soul because I’m sad cry cry cry cry
Could it be because the house I live in is a storey building?
Even my guy without thunder arrestor isn’t affected, why always mehuh?
I already bought all the materials for thunder arrestor installation.
I’m afraid more than ever do buy a normal inverter again because it’s never easy losing money!

Techland's canadian 665 watts = 182875 a piece

27 pieces = 182875 x 27 = #4,937,625

Let's assume way billing is #200,000

Crating is #4,480 per 2 panels so for 27 panels there are approximately 14 pairs

4,480 x 14 = #62,720

Total cost for the 27 Canadian panels from Techland = #4,937,625 + #200,000 + #62,720 = #5,200,345

625w Jinko panel from fouani is #184,800

This means I'm buying 1 Jinko watt at 184800/625 = #295.68kobo

But for the Canadian panels the total watts I got is 665w x 27pieces = 17955 watts and you recall I spent #5,200,345 total to get them

This means I'm getting 1 Canadian watt at
5200345/17955 = #289.63kobo

Canadian panels is saving me #295.68 - #289.63 = #6.05 per watt

If I must get the exact same wattage from fouani's Jinko I'll be spending #295.68 per watt x 17955watts = #5,308,934.40

But I got same watts at Canadian for #5,200,345 which means Canada saved me #5,308,934.40 - #5,200,345 = #108,589.40 despite the additional crating and shipping fees.

So you see... Even with fouani's free shipping, Canada still stands tall

Nothing is actually free even in Freetown cry
This is a good analyze and I commend you for taking your time out…
