yeah, kinda. The marriage bit only though. I guess I've never had issues about the other two.

I'm not sure it has much to do with introversion though. Psychoanalysing myself made me realise I may dread marriage for fear that I may not effectively share my personal space (which is very personal ) with my spouse, which may make one's partner feel unloved. Secondly, the fear of not knowing the true heart of someone to whom love is professed and wondering if the love is purely mutual.

These fears kinda disappear along the line once the self is reassured that 'all will be well' and once one allows love to rule (which increases tolerance). This is why I think it is very important for introverts to marry people who truly understand introverts.

Introverts and the Social Networks:

Social network can serve both as a bane and blessing for an introvert. As an introvert, I have been able to weigh my "comfortability" with different social platform and have reasons to back my findings.

FACEBOOK: This particular one is a nightmare for introverts including me. From the word "FACE", there is already fidgeting on the part of most introverts. Secondly, considering that most people found there are your friend in the "real" world and will not hesitate to make post especially to your new post or picture. It is incumbent for you to acknowledge their post at least with a like. Anyway, I realize the facebook platform shakes my wit and render me "less happy" most time. I first off all deactivated for a time then finally deleted it totally. So far so good, I am glad I took that decision.

NAIRALAND: Ok. Honestly, you have more control on what you want to see. One good attribute of this platform is your identity is hidden under a username. Your friends and family will hardly find out your next post. Also, It is a faceless community which is an "Introvert El-Dorado". So far so good for me

TWITTER: Another social platform paradise for introverts. Faceless and intuitive best qualify this platform. Most introvert like deep and short thoughts penned down in writing. So this is an opportunity to grow our intellect by following only those things that matters. In summary, we have the key in our very own hands.

WHATSAPP: Our phone numbers is likened to our physical address. Meaning it is very personal to us. So we take good care to involve only those that will make us comfortable and not necessarily draw us out from our comfort zone. For example, I have not been in touch with a colleague since when we parted ways in the University in 2010. But recently, he got my contact and was throwing the "what", "where" questions all around me. How am I to deal with this situation, I asked myself? But anyway, I handled it well.

INSTAGRAM: This is "hellish" for introverts. It goes against the introvert tenets of humility according to my understanding. The platform was designed to show, or should I say, intimate the rest of the world with what you have or as the case may be, what you dream of having. I have never opened that platform personally, for I see no attraction.

These are just my thoughts. Some may be flawed and some may pass the validity test.

this introverted personality can be a pain in the arse at times. whenever I hear guys talk about the number of girls they have had as girlfriends and those they also had causal sex with, I just begin to wonder if I'm cursed as regards girls

Hey! How do you guys handle eye contact? In today's world, one is expected to maintain eye contact when being talked to and this may seem to be a demanding task for introverts . For the guys, most ladies will see you to be weak if you are unable to maintain eye contact with them . How do you guys go about this?

Its a very serious issue o, infact i'm still battling with mine.
Often times whenever i meet someone for the 1st time, i'm unable to look them straight in the face, The consequence is that if our meeting is very brief, that means i might be unable to recognise him/ her the next time we meet.

As in ehn... so so connected

My 3 gr8test challenges have been:stage fright, keping eye contact and initiating & maintaining conversations + other minor ones.
As for the stage fright i tried overcoming it by joining the choir{since i could sing} even when in the choir, i tried to hide @ the back, until the day i was to take my first ever responsorial psalm{singing the psalm on the altar infront of the whole congregation} i found out that facing the croud was no big deal{no body is going to eat you up}
As introverts, we have very unique talents,if only we could discover them, then we will be able to apprciate the more our true nature.

I guess you're the kind of guy that stays indoor at times people won't know if you're around or not, won't contribute to a discussion but will download everything been said in a discuss into is brain, just say hi and walk pass his neighbours, kind of shy around the opposite sex, when their's no electricity and a book to read he gets kind of bored
