Manchester City loanee, Abdul-Nasir Oluwatosin Adarabioyo has aired his belief that he can be captain on English Premier League (EPL) giants, Manchester City 'in five years time'. RidwanAdeola reports that Adarabioyo was speaking to The Guardian UK recently, and the Blackburn Rovers (Championship team) defender was optimistic about his chances of winning the prestigious UEFA Champions League (UCL) with parent club, City. “In five years’ time, I’d like to be captain of Man City and have won the Premier League and the Champions League. As talks of disengagement surfaced last week, the Nigerian government's N-Power scheme have instructed beneficiaries to 'continue going to their Place of Primary Assignment (PPA)', RidwanAdeola reports. The scheme, through it's official Facebook page urged curious volunteers to wait for further instructions. It would be recalled that Leadership Newspaper did a story some days ago, where it claims that the Batch A beneficiaries will be relieved of their duty soon. Another major Nigerian newspaper, Punch, carried the news subsequently. These reports compounded the worry of beneficiaries who had not been fully confident of their stay in the programme. This led Musa Muhd Koli, an N-Teach volunteer at Garko Community Primary School Hadejia in Jigawa state to ask for clarification from the scheme. He wrote on a Facebook post by N-Power: "Good Morning Npower Team, I want to know how true is this information, I saw this piece this morning... Thanks as we await your response." Beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s N-Power initiative have already started receiving stipend payment for the month of December, 2019 Concise News can confirm. A graduate beneficiary of the scheme, Ademeso Temitope of Batch B who shared the update with this online news medium on Tuesday morning disclosed that the twelfth month stipend was paid very early in the day. Here are the latest N-Power news headlines N-Power: Minister Meets With State Focal Persons (Photos/Video) As the Federal Government keep on with the N-Power scheme, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq on Saturday met with State Focal Persons of Nigeria's Social Investment. The NSIP programme comprises components such as N-Power, National Home Grown School Feeding, Government Enterprise Empowerment Programme and the National Conditional Cash Transfer Programme. N-Power Programme is the job creation component of the NSIP which is providing economic and manpower development through employment creation, skills development and innovation transfer to youths between the ages of 18–35. In light of the social intervention programmes, the FG in 2016 appointed Focal Persons for the 36 states of the federation. Arsenal FC of the English Premier League (EPL) midfielder, Mesut Ozil has ‘heartily’ welcomed his former teammate, Mikel Arteta back to London. At a Press Briefing response by the Ministry Of Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management and Social Development on the non-payment of stipends to N-Power beneficiaries on December 2, Minister Sadiya Umar Farouq promised that beneficiaries will be settled on or before 20th of December – including their twelfth month pay. A lecturer in Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Mansur Buhari has faulted N-Power officials for lack of scrutiny and regulation of employed teachers, Concise News reports. It would be recalled that an exposé by Nigerian newspaper, Business Day revealed how over N23.4m is paid to 65 non-existent teachers (N-Teach).
