ACKayleb: But please am not discouraging you oh, it only mostly work if you actually have someone that knows the senator one on one and they are close, not the one you go to them because you just their constituent member, I wish you the best as you take your moves My bro, this life ehn! I asked my friend to go see his constituent rep at the lower chamber. He was given a letter to nafdac n my guy got it few months later. He even sent me something after he resumed. |

Chimarto: For example current salary =70,000 new minimum wage = 120,000 old minimum wage= 30,000
70,000 X 120,000 ÷30,000 = 280,000 Wrongest analysis ever made. |

AmiableMosquito: What I know is that in 2019 when the MW was increased from 18000 to 30000, the consequential increase on my salary as a level 09 staff was just a little above 7000 (seven thousand naira). Wow! While for me, my pay was increased with 18000 plus as a level 8 staff then(2019). |

Medianna: Even the salary there is all those deductions na… it’s 25% of gross income not net income.. I stand to be corrected though In plain terms, when the 25% is implemented, check your payslip you'd see that the deductions amounts have increased too. |
Career › Re: Has Any Federal Civil Servant Received The New Minimum Wage? by Rinoxy: 10:17pm On Jun 07, 2024 |
Medianna: If 25% of your salary is up to 20k then that it and if it’s more than you’re like getting more It's not necessarily so. Don't forget that your tax and pension contribution would automatically increase too. |

ACKayleb: N300,000 for Bsc just like NERC,NPA,REA, PTDF,etc...
NERC, NPA, PTDf all have good allowances, for REA even the 300k quoted as salary is a big lie, REA is on Conpss salary structure which is the least. Omo, I just dey laff like say no be FG's payroll I don dey for 9yrs and counting now. |

Krankhead: Now youbare changing your mouth. When Labour started why don't you tell then it's going to be an exercise in futility. Rather you people are happy. You want to pull the country down. You obviously don't understand my submission. I'm a federal worker, and what the FG did is the normal response that is given whenever NLC takes an industrial action. We're in full support of the strike! |

This is the same antics he met with his predecessors. If you're conversant with these things you'd know this is the norm. Not rocket science. |

ogyolat: Had it been FG has agreed on #100k from day one, they will still ask for more. Before you said #100k, did you put private sectors and some states that are currently struggling to pay the current minimum wage in to consideration? . As of now, did you know some married men are still collecting less than 30k as salary eg. Gatekeeper & some teachers working in small private schools, and we are going to the same market. They haven't increased the minimum wage, many companies have shutdown because they can't meet up with their obligations and leading to increase in unemployment rate. In summary, our problem is not minimum wage, the major problem is inflation. I couldn't help it but to agree with you. It's constitutional to review MW periodically, but the economic state of the country now needs urgent attention towards inflation and price regulation. This is the underlying cankerworm biting deep into the fabric of our national economy. |

seguntijan: Use your heads. President Tinubu CANNOT dictate the salaries of Senators or Representatives. They are a separate, independent and self-financing arm of government. They can even impeach the President. The President cannot even determine Judges salary. If the NLC is not happy with their pay, then they should face them. They should not make the rest of us pay for their beef with Senators or the National Assembly. Ask for something reasonable, like ₦75,000, and almost 100% of the populace will support you. Informative submission you typed up there, but the first statement was not necessary. Peace. |
