thenny312:Marcel, Marcel... There's only one way this ends... Marcel will not he on top by the time the season is in progress; he'll either die or suffer painfully. |
La La Land's loss of the award for best picture was shocking; worse was the fact that they had even called them out on stage as the winner, only to have the error addressed while on stage. Damn! After this, I need to watch Moonlight to fully understand what happened. |
UjSizzle:It would have been awesome if it worked that way, and probably all the souls trapped there spat into other planes of existence (such as earth, etc.) but then maybe the time frame didn't permit the producers to toe that line of mythology. |
Adek15:This is TVD, some things shouldn't be shocking to us by now after 8 years. |
thenny312:I've seen it too. I do hope the producers do not mess up the series finale. The only good thing about TVD ending is that TO immediately takes over. |
UjSizzle:We all know Katherine's a horrible person, hence why she went to Hell instead of the other side in S5E15. In her usual way I'm jot surprised she rose up the ranks, and with Cade gone, she's taken center stage to be the baddest evil bitch of all, set to mess with the boys again. |
simi4me:If you noticed well, that glimpse of Elena in the coffin is an old footage from season 6 finale. |
I don't think I've been this happy since a long while... Katherine is back! I told people, Nina will be returning as Katherine first before Elena, they said no... now see. |
https://rinzyreviews./2017/02/25/patrick-stewart-retiring-from-the-xmen-franchise-after-logan/ Patrick Stewart has been known for some notable roles, Star Trek TV Series as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987–94), but most known for his 17 years role as Professor Charles Xavier in the Xmen franchise; a role we can all agree he has always done justice to. Though in a recent promotional interviews ahead of Logan’s premiere, Sir Patrick initially claimed that he wasn’t done playing the role of the leader of the gifted mutants, that bus seems to have sailed, as he claims to be done. His older face and wisdom will certainly be missed, but I’ll say Fox has luck on this part by already recasting with a younger version of the character in James Mcacoy. Logan premieres at the cinemas on March 3, 2017. https://rinzyreviews./2017/02/25/patrick-stewart-retiring-from-the-xmen-franchise-after-logan/

akinkudin:Yes, it does. |
https://rinzyreviews./2017/02/24/the-next-xmen-film-is-titled-supernova/ The Xmen will be back to the cinematic world in an installment tagged Xmen: Supernova. After a decent box-office performance, lower than expectations after the unprecedented success of Xmen: Days of Future Past, the future of the Xmen was under a lot of speculations and scrutiny; now that future has been confirmed to still be one that 20th Century Fox (the studio behind the Xmen movies) still believes in. Why won’t they, when the Xmen franchise is one of their most commercially successful brands? Xmen: Supernova is believed to be a remake of 2006’s Xmen: Last Stand, that horribly treated the Dark Phoenix story-line . With this remake (if successful) Fox hopes to right the wrongs of more than a decade ago. Xmen: Supernova is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2018. Casting news hasn’t been confirmed, other than Sophie Turner as Jean Grey every other person is a potential cast.Another thing is that, this movie will be situated in deep space. Time will tell if Fox will get it right this time because I have to admit, Xmen: Apocalypse was a let down especially with the titular bad guy. RR will keep you updated. https://rinzyreviews./2017/02/24/the-next-xmen-film-is-titled-supernova/

Seems TVD wants to set up a Heaven vs Hell scenario. I didn't really fancy this latest episode. |
DonCortino:I still do. I'm really hopeful the season will improve tremendously. |
https://rinzyreviews./2017/02/18/is-supernatural-at-its-worst-this-season/l After 11 seasons (currently on its 12th) Supernatural may well be at the end of its game, and experiencing what is known as diminishing returns for a series that has done so well for itself over the last 12 years. We’ve met Angels, Demons, The Darkness, Lucifer, The Leviathans, and even God (Chuck). With an expansive use of mythologies from all works of life, Supernatural has done very well for itself, crafting engaging story-lines, which some might consider blasphemous depending on what he/she believes in. But, our analyses is just to try to justify this question – Is it time for Supernatural to call it quit, to end while the ovation can still stand? The ongoing 12th premiered sometime in October, 2016, and hasn’t been able to generate enough buzz. Not to say that the 13 episodes already aired are bad, but most have not been able to rise to critical acclaim level for which Supernatural is well known for, including the mid-season/ winter finale. Two episodes so far to have stood out are, episodes 9 (First Blood) and 12 (Stuck in the middle with you); just 2 out of 13. I believe most of the problem is from The CW President, Mark Pedowitz publicly declaring his love for the series, which coupled with the decent rating the show has always gotten made the Producers of the series decide to keep the series for as long as the lead actors are willing to act. Who wouldn’t love such job security? Not a good thing if you ask me. For a series to work, it must have a definite story to tell, and Supernatural has passed that stage by 7 seasons. A popular belief in the world of TV, is that Eric Kripe (the man who created Supernatural) only wanted 5 seasons to tell his story, and when The CW Network wanted to continue, he stepped away. Those of us who have been with Supernatural from the beginning will remember season 5 as the season where the boys battled Lucifer himself. The season finale felt like what would have made a great series finale, but seven years later what do we have? Supernatural has been a shadow of itself for a while now, but this season has been a No! No! It’s been Supernatural at its worst, story-wise. The mess Supernatural is in now began with the way the 11th season was handled. For years many waited for the introduction of the character, God. He was introduced alright, but was so underutilized it would have been better to let sleeping dogs lie. I expected the 11th season to be the final season because, which characters could match up to God vs The Darkness? But, the story went south and Supernatural was left scrambling, searching for a way out. Enter the British Men of Letters – So far, this organization still shrouded in the mystery of what they truly want is the best Supernatural has got to offer. I do not find them compelling a bit. Each screen time they get tends to upset me more than the last. How am I to connect with whatever they’re supposed to be to Team Winchester if I can’t yet stand 60 secs with them? Enter Lucifer – As a character, Lucifer has been misused, bastardized; so much that even the face of his most popular vessel, Mark Pellegrino, cannot seem to save the character from being stale now. After he and God made peace last season, I was very surprised to see him acting as a villain this season, but then I remembered… the show must go on. Enter Mama Winchester – Mary was brought back to life by The Darkness as a parting gift to Dean at the end of the 11th season. In my opinion, the character is still trying to find her feet, and hasn’t really added much to the season in terms of story-telling other than make her boys (especially Dean) emotional. Let’s see how it goes. I’m holding out a flame of hope because of the events of the 9th episode, when Billy the Reaper warned that if a Winchester doesn’t die by midnight they’d be consequences on a global scale because of the deal Sam and Dean had with her. She was killed by Castiel, and I felt a tingly feel of hope that something interesting might just be headed to Supernatural; only time will tell. Crowley and Castiel who used to be one of the fun things to watch on this show, have been extremely underutilized in recent times. Although it is too early to we at RR can only hope it gets better. Supernatural airs Wednesday on The CW. Available for download Thursday mornings. https://rinzyreviews./2017/02/18/is-supernatural-at-its-worst-this-season/

https://rinzyreviews./2017/02/16/iron-fist-is-coming/ The Marvel Cinematic Universe is at it again. The Netflix corner of the MCU has been heating up since the release of the first season of Daredevil in 2015. This continued with the release of Jessica Jones later that same year, followed by the second season of Daredevil in 2016, and Luke Cage the same year. Now, we are almost at the end of the road, the last character to be introduced in his own eponymous show, before the mini Avengers-styled TV Show titled – The Defenders slated for a release later this year. The Defenders will include Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and characters from all their respective shows. L to R: Luke Cage, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist The second trailer for Iron Fist was release about a week ago, giving us a more detailed look at this new Marvel series. At this point, everyone has so much confidence in Marvel, because all their productions have been wonderful. Click here to watch Iron Fist’s trailer. Click here if you want to know my best Marvel/Netflix TV Show characters. Things the trailer told us: 1. Meet Danny Rand With a back-story similar to that of DC’s Green Arrow – rich boy turned vigilante, Iron Fist starts out the same way most superheroes do nowadays. Danny Rand has returned to his city and father’s company, Rand Industries, after being supposedly believed dead after a plane crash that claimed his parent’s life. Danny had been fortunate to survive, and had learnt martial arts from the greatest masters in the cold region of K’un-L’un, “City of the Immortals” situated between cold mountains. 2. There is magic. Everyone conversant with the magic knows that Danny learnt to harness the Chi that flows within him, concentrating it on his fist (hence the name, Iron Fist) to dish out punches with devastating effects. 3. Claire Temple I for one have gotten tired of seeing MCU’s favorite Nurse in every Marvel/Netflix show. Fortunately or unfortunately, she’s in this one also. First introduced as a love interest in the first season of Daredevil, Claire appeared in Luke Cage, featuring as his love interest, your guess is as good as mine what she’ll be doing again in this installment. Ha ha!! 4. Destruction! We love to see things blow up, we love to see things scatter, the trailer contained just enough to keep us invested in showing up for the series premiere come Mar. 17. Danny kicks a lot of asses with his bad ass martial arts skills, and blows up a lot of structures with his Iron Fist. 5. A Side-kick. In the person of Colleen Wing. She’s a supporting character with badass martial arts skills. He cage fight sequence in the trailer were awesome and I can’t wait to see her in full action. Iron Fist looks promising enough for me to anticipate binge watching it. Marvel has had success with three of the three eponymous shows they currently have on Netflix, Iron Fist seems poised to toe and possibly best that line. Iron Fist comes out on Mar. 17, on Netflix. https://rinzyreviews./2017/02/16/iron-fist-is-coming/ |
olatunji390:The cure needs to be sucked out of his blood before he can begin to age. |
ShaqFu:Thank you! Talking about Dr. Fate, Legends of Tomorrow deemed it fit to drop his helmet on the floor while Rip Hunter chased Jackson round the Waverider. |
Samfilo31:Through, I really wonder what's going to happen with the explanation that Bonnie opened her door, door to darkness/hell. Kai returning is giving me joy. |
ShaqFu:Yes, they are similar. I'm still awaiting your comment. |
Release date: November 4, 2016 Production Studio: Marvel Studio Box Office: $670.1m Rinzy’s Rating: 4/5 Over the years, Marvel has proved itself as a force to be reckoned with not just the comic book movie world, but movies in general. Doctor Strange follows in the same line as an interesting watch. Dr. Stevens Strange is an arrogant but very intelligent Neurosurgeon, who has an accident that causes him to lose the effective use of his hands. Dejected, he seeks for a way out of his predicament, and comes across a man who used to be paralyzed years ago, but could now miraculously walk. The man tells Strange about Kamar-Taj, a place where miracle happens. Kaecilius is a rogue Sorcerer, who broke into Kamar-Taj to steal a page out of a book about time manipulation. He and his followers are chased across dimensions by a powerful Sorceress called the Ancient One, but they all escape her. Strange is saved by another sorcerer, Mordo, who heard him ask about Kamar-Taj at the market place. Mordo brings him to Kamar-Taj, the Sanctum, to see the Ancient One, who rejects him, but later accepts him after a pep talk from Mordo. Strange begins his training in earnest, though tough, he finally starts to understand what it takes to be a sorcerer. Kaecilius attacks again. doctor-strange-still-ancient-one-karl-mordo Kaecilius is trying to free Dormamu, a villain that resides in the dark dimension, and it is up to Strange and his fellow Sorcerers to stop his invasion. There were lots of things I loved about this movie, most notable are: 1. Dr. Stranger’s back story. Even though this movie is an origin story of some sort, it doesn’t rub it on our faces. The pacing was good. It didn’t take years to introduce Steven Strange the douche, Steven Strange the broken man, and certainly didn’t take an eternity to introduce him as a Sorcerer. The pacing was well thought out, and beautifully executed. 2. Powerful visuals Though we’ve seen one trick in this movie in Inception (2010) – the reality warping spell when Mordo and Strange ran from Kaecilius and his forces after the attack at the New-York Sanctum. doctor_strange_image_dimensions-0 Many other visuals peculiar to this movie I enjoyed include, the way the portals to different dimensions open, the Eye of Agomotto and the cloak of levitation in action, among many other scenery. Kudos to the Visuals Director. 3. The comedy This was one very awesome aspect of the movie. The characters were funny, almost all of them knew how to crack a smile on viewers, including Dormamu. 4. The wonderful cast and acting. Though there were divisions among comic fanboys when the cast was unveiled, they did impress me. From Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange, to Chinwetel Ejiofor as Mordo, to Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, these three and a few others did it for me. Benedict Cumberbatch was an excellent choice for the Sorcerer Supreme, and I must say job well done to the Casting Director. The things I didn’t like about this movie: 1. Dormamu wasn’t really visually appealing enough to be appreciated as the main villain. 2. The Ancient One didn’t need to die the way she did. She was way too awesome to die by a stab wound, for someone with powers from the dark dimension. In all, Doctor Strange is an entertaining movie, it wouldn’t bore you. So, if you haven’t watched it, try to. For those that have watched it, what do you think about the movie? https://rinzyreviews./2017/02/11/rinzy-reviews-doctor-strange/

Does anyone have any theory on how Kai is back? Did he escape through the cracks of hell, after the bell rang eleven times? |
bliss11:The show is four episodes away from being done, why do yo think they're doing things they've never done before? |
TonySpike:Yea. The visuals reminded me of Inception. I loved the movie, though as you said it is an overrated piece, but a good watch all the same. |
After a climatic fifth season with the Dread Doctors and The Beast of Gervude, Teen Wolf returned to our scream last November, for the first half of its sixth and final season. Teen Wolf’s producers wasted no time in introducing us to the villains of the season – The Ghost Riders of the Wild Hunt – within the first seven minutes of the season, and we had a lot to chew all through the rest of the half-season story-line. I particularly liked the way the season started; Hayden and Liam are running in the woods, and suddenly notice the sky has green linings. They also see a car driving itself there way. On examination they find a young boy, Alex, hiding at the back-seat, he said, ‘Don’t let them take me. Don’t let them take me too,’ referencing his parents who had already been kidnapped by the mysterious villain. Further investigation into the head of the only surviving son, by Scott, showed that his parents were taken by a mysterious, tall, mouth-less male figure, cloth in black cowboy-like attire, and riding a dark-horse. ghostrider-teen-wolf-season-6-episode-1-memory-lost-wikia The story carried on with the pack figuring out that The Ghost-Riders take people, and when they’re taken, those they leave behind forget everything about them. Stiles found himself taken, and the rest of the season follows the different things that happens for the pack to remember that someone like Stiles once existed in their lives. During this story we got something that had been teased since the first season of this show – Stiles and Lydia. I think this is where I’ll start my review of the season from. 1. Stiles and Lydia’s kiss. Rinzy’s rating: 3/5. After being teased for six years, Stydia (portmanteau for Stiles and Lydia) finally happened. Everyone who’s been following this show since its first season knows that Stiles has always been obsessed with Lydia, who never really cared about him until she became invested in the world of the supernatural. They shared a brief kiss in season , but Lydia claimed it was to help stop Stiles’ panic. In as much as Stydia happening is for fan-service, I’ll like to see what they do with it in the final ten episodes of the series. 2. The Ghost-Riders Rinzy’s rating: 3.5/5 What’s a good story without a memorable villain? The Ghost-Riders, though captivating in their first few scenes, soon became a bore, and chore to watch. In typical Teen Wolf stile, where the vast majority of their villains do not speak (remember The Onis, The Beserkers, The Dread Doctors?) the Ghost-riders are no exception. I for one, have always loved as Teen Wolf is able to constantly re-brand itself , season after season, giving me the chance to appreciate new story-lines. 3. The Nazi Wolf Rinzy’s rating: 3/5 Probably to make the story appear full circle and connected, Teen Wolf’s producers thought it best to bring in the mysterious creature in the Dread Doctor’s lair in season 5 into this story-line. And they also thought it best to make him a teacher in Beacon High (I’ve lost count of how many of their teachers have gone rogue.) I didn’t really enjoy it. I thought his motivation for wanting to join the world of the Ghost-Riders and Beacon Hills together as weak and uninspiring. teen-wolf-nazi-wolf 4. Coach Rinzy’s rating: 4/5 Every scene with this man is pure bliss. Though not in any way furthering the plot, Scott’s lacrosse coach’s appearance has always been a welcome comic relief. He wasn’t around for long, but his appearance was very much appreciated. 5. Stiles Rinzy rating: 3.5/5 Maybe Dylan O’Brien is becoming too busy, that’s why this season we had too little Stilinski, and that isn’t good. Stiles has always been the heart of this show, and it would be good to always have him around going forward in the last stretch of the series. 6. Parish Hell-Hound Rinzy’s rating: 2/5 The Parish is being utilized on this show hurts me, because this is a character that has so much potential. Though the producers did a non-existent job in explaining why the Ghost-Riders were able to control him in Hell-Hound mode, every scene with him was a delight to behold. Over all, the season was a decent one. I’d like to see how the series concludes a lot of hanging threads of story-lines, Theo’s redemption, Malia’s mother/desert wolf, the new Argent and McCall lovers, Stydia, Derek, Issac, and Pa Gerard’s whereabouts, etc. Though not my best season (in terms of story-lines) it certainly isn’t my worst. I rate it 3.25/5 https://rinzyreviews./2017/02/07/rinzy-reviews-teen-wolf-season-6a/
