charlesm91: Just watched Jleague, story felt a bit rushed- straight to the point, no dilly dalling around. Stephenwolf looked good to me until the final battle (superman did a number on him). And superman finally looked liked a beacon of hope he was meant to be. Overall enjoyable- resurrection part was hands down the best scene in the movie. I wish some scenes weren't cut from the final version. 7.5/10 for me. I concur. The resurrection and subsequent fight scenes between the League was awesome. |
TV/Movies › Rinzy Reviews Justice League (2017) - SPOILER FREE!!! by RinzyReviews(op): 6:44am On Nov 23, 2017 |
I finally saw Justice League. Lord knows I loved everything about the movie, which makes me wonder why Rotten Tomato critically panned it. The movie has a unique blend of background darkness and humour, which I loved.
Ezra Millar stands out for me as a bright spot as The Flash... my love for him since 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' just doubled.
The movie was dark enough for me not to notice Henry Cavil's Superman's digitally removed moustache that was complained about.
Gal Gadot (as Diana Prince/ Wonder Woman) was a darling as always; she remains the heart of the DCEU. (Themyscira also featured in this movie). Cyborg was good. Batfleck was also good.
I loved Aquaman's humour... There were lots of Easter eggs, including one about a race of green ring-wearing heroes and another one I'll let remain a secret (I shouted at the cinema once I saw it). There was a brief fight scene that blew my mind... you'll recognize it once you see it.
Make sure you stick around for the mid credit and post credit scenes, they're mind blowing.
I really enjoyed watching this movie. If you haven't, you should go check it out soon.

kennypoka2: This mindset is really bad! Try go to a cinema- You will like it and another thing, you will have lots and lots of fun watching on the big screen. Please, go to the cinema - It's just 500naira. Thanks! Thank you for encouraging him. We should buy Naija to grow the Naira. |

LATEST!
So, yesterday, I was opportune to watch an extended trailer for The Wedding Party 2 (#TWP2)... and I wasn't happy.
Why?
Because it seemed like a remake of everything that happened in part one, only with the inclusion of 'Destination Dubai'.
There were so many cast members from the first movie whose characters, I believe, have no business in the sequel (to avoid repetition) such as Beverly Naya and Emma oh my God...
I believe this is a problem that continually plagues Nigeria's artistry, the inability to remain creative after money has been made. Lots of artists suffer from this.
I'll just pause my ranting here until the movie is out in the cinemas... Dec. 15 is the date. I'm waiting. I do hope I'm wrong, I so want this sequel to work.

TV/Movies › Do You Go To The Cinema To Watch Nigerian Movies by RinzyReviews(op): 2:18pm On Nov 18, 2017*. Modified: 9:39am On May 20, 2024 |
I came across an old thread with a similar caption from 2013, where the responses were mostly negative. Despite this, there was still hope for Nollywood to improve their production quality. In the space of four years, Nollywood has indeed upped their game. They keep getting better, and more Nigerian movies are now being shown in cinemas.
My question is, do you visit the cinemas to watch Nigerian movies as much as you watch Hollywood movies?
We've had many hits in recent memory, such as The Wedding Party, Wives on Strike, Isoken, and more.
So, tell me, I really want to know.

Three episodes in and the show is still waxing strong, this is looking more like a critical win for Fox and the Xmen franchise. |

After watching the fifth episode, I can say the show keeps getting sillier; it's more annoying. |
TV/Movies › Re: Marvel's Inhumans Isn't As Bad As They Say It Is by RinzyReviews(op): 9:43pm On Oct 23, 2017 |
mekaprime: Sorry op but I beg to differ, marvel inhumans was a complete disappoint for me. I had high hopes for d show after seeing agents of shield season 2 but i am kinda very disappointed so far. The story line & costume sucks, as for the cast I'll give them a par. And secondly I don't get people comparing the TV show to DC's flash & arrow. Flash & arrow are by far 10 times better than this crappy TV show. I think d mistake d writers made was separating inhumans from Agents of shield timeline, they should look up on how DC linked all their TV shows ( flash, arrow, legend of tomorrow & Supergirl) in a single timeline. It makes their shows have a strong base and also makes crossover shows possible. I concur. |

Phi001: Designated survivor has gone off course.
Stopped Gotham and AoS after S01 and S02 respectively... About DS, isn't it as good as its first season? |

obonujoker: Lol.... Flash people... una see these shows una no watch...
Gotham Agents of Shield Designated Survivor
Una go drop flash... buh to be honest, even legends of tomorrow is making more sense than flash...... I agree. 'Legends Of Tomorrow' is way doper than 'The Flash'. |

Kaziar: Inhumans we......ll I still hold out hope for it. Their costumes and make up look cheap, YES. But gorgons legs and the guy with glowing eyes look especially ridiculous, how can they not see it? Otherwise amazing cast and a storyline that I hope will be explosive. I love the storyline but will still rate gifted a little bit ahead tho. I agree with you. Unfortunately, the first season is almost over. It has four episodes to go. No more hope. |

damibravo: I don't understand why the series was watered down and people see no problem with DC's flash, arrows and Supergirl.
The series is very okay with me. Me likey Medusa!
Rate it ahead of gifted sef! This is new. Compared to what AoS had done with the Inhumans, plus its rich history in the comics, I'd say those are some of the things that made it a disappointment. The costumes and abilities in the Arrowverse are bearable, far more, compared to those here. |
TV/Movies › Re: Marvel's Inhumans Isn't As Bad As They Say It Is by RinzyReviews(op): 4:22pm On Oct 15, 2017 |
And the 4th episode is still here. Still same. The plot isn't really advancing, not much sense to it. We're half way through the service... Hallelujah! |
