I am also looking forward to it. Nollywood hasn't been very good when it comes to producing sequels of good films. Mr & Mrs and When Love Happens are good examples. I wished I never saw this movies. I was very pleased seeing the first part only. Let's see what Mo Abudu and Niyi Akinmolayan has in stock for us. December 15th is near.

I concur. The reality is that, not all shows can be released for binge watching. We'll take what we're given.

Shows like this make you wish Netflix and other streaming services are the only source... binge-watching is taking over.

I must say, the third episode is a huge improvement from the double-episode premiere. Though not the best, it's bearable to watch.
Something in me tells me I might be wasting my time with the show, but it's just eight episodes.

I fear for ‘The Wedding Party 2’ and it’s for a good cause. Expectations are here. People are too excited. December 15 seems so far. But, what if our systems have gotten too excited nothing can gauge it? What if the movie comes out and we feel it’s same as part one, only recycled and more foreigner? What if we get too vexed that we start to notice the flaws we purposely overlooked in the first installment?

I enjoyed ‘The Wedding Party’ so much, that if a sequel would spoil the memory for me, I’d rather not watch.

A popular trend is that the second never gets to be quite as entertaining as the first, but that has never stopped studio execs from green lighting a sequel when the first gets so popular its now referred to as pop culture. ‘The Wedding Party’ is one of our own pop culture, original and Nigerian, something we seem to be lacking in the scene. Hopefully, it breaks the jinx of Hollywood, and starts something new and great for us here – the new Nollywood we call it – our new way of life.

The teaser trailer released days ago has done exactly as intended – to get people pumped and tongues wagging – pockets also itching to spend enough money that another box office records is shattered. So many familiar faces, old and new to the franchise, a phenomenal way to build a brand that’ll last a lifetime. Ebony Life has got a goldmine in their hands.

The success of ‘The Wedding Party 2’ is crucial to the way the Nigerian cinematic movie culture improves, we may not know it until 2018 has aged properly, hopefully, gracefully too. Be thou as it may, I’m waiting for the day; that date; December 15, 2017. Mark your calendars, friends, Christmas this year just got litter.

Who's seen the new episode? It was good too.. increasing action and furthering mythology, this is certainly another hit for Fox's Xmen.

Inhumans' got nothing on 'The Gifted'. I've been pumped up for the show since I saw the trailer weeks back. I enjoyed the premiere. The casts were beautiful. Which character do you have a liking for already, and which ability?

Have you watched the first episode of Fox's 'The Gifted'? I have, and I really enjoyed it; I believe we're off to a good start in the show. Anything Xmen is good for me.

Waiting for the next episode...

After about a month of waiting after the IMAX premiere, Marvel’s Inhumans have arrived on
TV. The Inhumans property has been troubled for many years now. It was first billed to appear in the phase three of the MCU, but for reasons best known between the two bosses at loggerhead – Ike Permulter and Kevin Feige – the project never moved forward. Later it was announced the show will premiere on TV, ABC, instead, with an eight episode order for a short and concise story. Then came the real issue… from the release of the first trailer to all the screenings that followed, the show was accused of being cheap, and Marvel of cutting corners. Add that to the array of lacklustre reviews from critics, of which the show has a very poor standing on Rotten Tomato. To cut long story short, Marvel Inhumans makes Iron Fist (season one) look good. After watching the two episodes premiere myself, trying hard to avoid being biased by premeditated views of others, I can confidently say the show isn’t so bad.

Yes, I enjoyed it, and I’m looking forward to the third episode. This may or may not come as a surprise to many, but it’s my own view.
The costumes are cheap, very cheap, and unimpressive. I had a big problem with
Lockjaw, as the CGI used to portray his existence kept rubbing on my face, announcing it was of low quality. But I tried to overlook all these, and keep an eye on the actors and the story.

The show boasts a very good cast. Take Iwan Rheon’s Maximus away (because ‘Game Of Thrones’ has shown us how good he is as an actor), I really got into Anson Mount’s Black bolt. For a character who didn’t utter a word, that says so much about the actor. Serinda Swan’s Medussa also impressed, enough for me to trace her TV background and realize she was Zatanna on Smallville. The bulk of the actors that made up the royal family were good enough, I enjoyed watching them move on screen.
While the first ten minutes of the premiere wasn’t that impressive, the show soon really gets a hang over itself, and successfully establishes its plot. I do hope the story improved as it continues, as only word of mount (positive) can resurrect its dead bones.
