Good morning all, please I need your help before I pay for my tuition deposit.
I was refused a visiting visa to the UK around March this year. Reasons being:
“I am not satisfied that your personal bank statement reflects your business or employment.
In addition to this, I note that there is no demonstration of any tax returns being paid, given you are self-employed. This leads me to doubt your credibility and your intentions on visiting the UK. Therefore, on the balance of probabilities, I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor for a limited period not exceeding 6 months or that you intend to leave the United Kingdom at the end of the visit.
In light of all of the above, I am not satisfied that you intend to leave the United Kingdom or that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor. Your application is therefore refused under paragraph V4. 2 (a) and (c).”
My question now is, will this affect my chances of getting CAS and subsequently a study Visa? I read somewhere that I cannot apply for another visa until 6months after a previous visa request was refused. Is this true?

It's better to declare all rejections and so, I'll advise you cancel and resubmit your application.
If you wish to take the risk, you could upload an additional cover letter stating this rejection, the rejection reason and why it was omitted in your application form. You will have to pay to use the assisted service however (its about NGN47,000 or thereabout - double check the exact cost on TLS site).
I already paid for the assisted service. Could you please give me a little guideline on how to write the cover letter. |

I now assume that in the section where you were asked Have you ever been refused a visa for any country you replied No?.If this is what happened then you did not forget you lied.
As to your questions,China is one of the big 5 alongside France,Russia,US, and the UK and have a network so it’s a game of chance.
If it is discovered that offence carries up to 10year travel ban,if it is not then on your subsequent application to make the disclosure is between you and your conscience.
If you now feel the need to tell them then you would have to withdraw your application and fill a new form if it’s been less than 24hrs.
I only say 24hrs as the probability your application has been moved for vetting to start after then is high.

Breathe. I didn’t lie. My brother filled the application for me and I didn’t notice the error before he submitted and it’s been over 24hrs. I’m supposed to go for biometrics on Monday. Please is there any other thing I can do? |

Good day all, please I applied for UK visitors visit although I indicated that I traveled to Dubai some years but I forgot to add that China denied me visa a few years ago. I can’t amend it now since I’ve already submitted it.
Please do you think it will be a problem? Is there any other way to tell them? |

It’s safer for you to have your own ties in terms of job/finances, property/investments, assets, marriage, travel history etc.. some get lucky but the number is minimum.
You are married and have 2kids.. good stuff so u cnt abandon them .. one point.. but you are not financially able to afford a holiday without your brother totally sponsoring it.. low income paying job.. if you get a better job in the Uk, you will decide to stay back.. if you had a business making lots of profit it will be hard for u to abandon tht business to go and stay illegally in the Uk..
with your current status, u can decide to seek asylum and stay to get papers and go back for your kids.. your brother can provide u soft landing with accommodation and covering you till u can stand strong.. travel history is not compulsory but it helps.. eco is unable to judge how you have treated other immigration systems to see if granted whether u will return.
I’m not a visa officer but at least there are some basic things to click check… eco will also say you can always travel at a differnt time when your circumstances are much bettter, there is nothin to actually really force his hand to give visa. What is the reason gan gan.. if you say you have missed your brother and need to see him, very valid reason.. but if they want to refuse they will use this as opening statemnt… ‘whilst I acknowledge the seriousness of family ties I must consider your personal circumstances’ Thank you very much.
