tintingz: From what I read from history, bini was formerly known as Ile-ibinu which is a Yoruba word, the word(ile-ibinu) later corrupted to "bini" by a latter oba.
What I don't know is if Oduduwa was an indigene of bini or he came there and settled there and left(there's no sufficient evidence to back it up), but all I know is ile-ife and bini had political tied. any source or evidence I can see to believe? |

tintingz: The origin of Oduduwa is not certainly known, his history is not accurate, some said he came from Mecca, some said from Ekiti, some said from Igala, some said from Edo, some said Egypt, some said Ethiopia, some said from the sky that the God Olorun sent him.
Since Oduduwa doesn't have sufficient historical fact/evidence to backup his origin, I see him as a mythical figurehead, it seems people developed stories about Oduduwa for thier self-interest for power and superiority, there is a figure-person of Oduduwa no doubt but as a rational thinker I go with evidence not sentiments.
So when you ask where does Oduduwa came from, my answer is I don't know as his origin is not certainly known just some coçk-and-bull story. my friend you are not fair and you are trying to divert from the truth which you and I Know, Oduduwa was a banish Prince from Bini, or you think anybody will just come and give the name Bini without having Bini heritage? |

tintingz: The inhabitants of the classical/ancient lagos period before the bini came were the aworis.

tintingz: The article said "mordern day Lagos" was founded by bini, you should know there were people living in Lagos before the bini people came and conquer, they are the aworis.
Cc ozila yeah I know there were people there including Bini people too, do you think they will allow Bini to annex them if they weren't been ruled by a Bini man? |

Science/Technology › Robot Automation Will 'take 800 Million Jobs By 2030 by ritababe(op): 9:29pm On Nov 29, 2017 |
The study of 46 countries and 800 occupations by the McKinsey Global Institute found that up to one-fifth of the global work force will be affected. It said one-third of the workforce in richer nations like Germany and the US may need to retrain for other jobs. Machine operators and food workers will be hit hardest, the report says. Poorer countries that have less money to invest in automation will not be affected as much, according to McKinsey. India, the authors write, will only have about 9% of jobs replaced by emerging technologies. The authors see tasks carried out by mortgage brokers, paralegals, accountants, and some back-office staff as especially vulnerable to automation. Jobs requiring human interaction such as doctors, lawyers, teachers and bartenders are seen by McKinsey as less prone to automation. Specialised lower-wage jobs, such as gardening, plumbing and care work, will also be less affected by automation, the study predicted. In developed countries, the need for a university education will grow, as jobs that require less education shrink. In the US alone, 39 to 73 million jobs may be eliminated by 2030, but about 20 million of those displaced workers may be able to easily transfer to other industries, according to the McKinsey report . In the UK, 20% of current jobs will be automated over the same period, the author's forecast. http://googleweblight.com/i?u=http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-42170100&hl=en-NG&tg=414&tk=qGfBMIiQHg-kigQsCc. lalasticlala |
