I have come to the conclusion that Anambra people are the biggest chestbeaters and noisemakers in Nigeria. With all the useless noise they made when the airport was opened and were even disparaging others. I could remember one idiot saying that all the airport will surpass other airports except Lagos within one year of operation... Lol...What a joke...
It is still the least patronized airport in the Southeast and one of the least in Nigeria.. Onitsha people would rather use Asaba Airport...
Ebonyi airport will serve many locations because there are no airports in that area and the axis... Anambra airport is a waste!!!

We all know states like Lagos, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Oyo, Enugu, Kano and Kaduna are far better on average than Anambra when all ramifications of governance and development is considered.

Asaba is not even as Developed as Abakaliki.

Asaba, Yenegoa and Umuahia and the least most developed state capitals in southsouth and southeast.

The most developed are Enugu, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Uyo.

I am from imo state but truth be told, OWERRI is the worst state capital in Southern Nigeria. Owerri has the worst roads in Nigeria even worse than Aba. I have lived in Owerri all my life and it is an insult to compare a shithole like Owerri to any state capital out there. All the SE state capitals from Enugu, Awka, Abakaliki, even Asaba are all better than Owerri. Let's stop deceiving ourselves. Owerri should be demolished and rebuilt because the present outlook is not befitting. The aerial view of Owerri below shows a rustic unplanned failed town. This is quite embarrassing.

Cry your heart out, but truth out there is that Owerri is a glorified village littered with bad roads and filthy environment. Even Aba is now better than Owerri.

Awka and Onitsha are like America compare to Owerri or anywhere in imo state, that's why millions of of imo indigenes are living in Anambra but you can never find one Anambra indigene living in imo state. What does that tell you?

Imo should embark on mega infrastructures like Anambra if it hopes to develop and attract back its huge population living in Anambra. The whole of Owerri must be demolished if it hopes to build the kind of massive infrastructures in Awka and Onitsha.

Just humble yourself and appreciate Anambra for its advancement and development that has benefited millions of imo indigenes living in Anambra

Gov Okowa’s commissioner fires aide for supporting Peter Obi

Anthony Onoriode Ofoni, a Commissioner in the cabinet of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has fired his aide, Atare Awin for lending support to the presidential bid of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 elections.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports this is contained in a statement personally signed and released on Tuesday by Ofoni, the Commissioner in charge of the Directorate of Project Monitoring and Audit in Delta, under who Awin served as Media Technical Aide.

Awin had repeatedly publicly shown support for Peter Obi, but in the statement released by Ofoni, he stated that Awin was fired for sharing counter opinions about Governor Okowa’s administration.

The statement reads: “I wish to inform you, of your disengagement as Special Assistant Technical Aide to my office as the Delta State Commissioner for Project Monitoring/Audit.

“This decision became necessary owing to your well-publicized opinions on the policies and programs of the Delta State Government and PDP at large, which are in contradiction to what the State Government had achieved in the last 7 years.

“As a Commissioner and member of the State Executive Council, I wish to distance myself from the opinions you expressed on your platforms, as it does not represent my stand on the performance of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa administration which has been well credited for the overall transformation in the State by way of giant strides in infrastructure, social development, job creation, wealth creation and the overall development across the State.

“This disengagement is with immediate effect. I, therefore, wish you well in your future political endeavours”.
