Mr. Peter Akpanke, founder of The Akpanke Foundation (TAF) in Thanksgiving to God almighty and to mark his marriage anniversary and Birthday have during the week distributed palliatives to the less privileged and party hopes in Obudu and Obanliku Local Governments.

The anniversary which saw the great philanthropist bring the top government functionaries in Cross River State started on Friday July 12 with the presentation of 20 bikes to youths including the 10 PDP ward chairmen in Obanliku and a car to Mr Ben Ukukong of Ketting Bendi Obanliku.

The Thanksgiving and Anniversary which held on Saturday in his village, Ketting Bendi Obanliku had the likes of Prof. Sandy Ojong, RT Hon Legor Idagbo, RT. Hon.Jarigbe Agbom, Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo – (Dansuki), Rt. Hon. Eteng Jones , Barr Eba, Dr Steve Odey and a host of other dignitaries in attendance.

The Birthday Activities continued on Monday with the distribution of thousands of facemasks and other palliatives, visitation of hospitals to where his Foundation distributed food and paid medical bills surmounting to over 3million Naira.

No doubt we could hear the people praising him with many lauding him as the Messiah God sent to bring succor and hope to the less privileged. “he has touched the lives of people irrespective of family and tribe.

With the economic shutdown allover the world, you can't help but compliment the efforts of President Buhari's administration in tackling the effects of the COVID19 pandemic.

Oil prices have dropped to an all time low, yet the economy is still standing strong, this goes to show that they've been a gradual drift in focus away from oil to Agriculture, mining etc.

Over 26 million people have lost their jobs in the USA yet PMB is creating extra 774,000 jobs (1,000 per LGA in the country) within this sane period.

The Economic recovery committee set up by the president and chaired by the VP, Prof Osinbajo have been working acidulously to keep the economy safe and avoid any negative effect on the economy after this pandemic, also they've been a 40% slash on the nations budget. All of these is targeted at keeping Nigerians out of poverty.

Nigeria will prevail.

His Excellency, Vice President Osinbajo is a tactician and has Nigeria's best interest at heart, we will win this war against the BHT.

FG's plans to Tackle CoronaVirus.

1- FG has formed an inter-multisectoral committee to oversee the national response to prevent importation of the virus.

The committee comprises many sectoral agencies including Health, Aviation, Transport, Information and Culture, Police Affairs, Internal Affairs, Agriculture and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

2- The Embassy of Nigeria in China through its minister of public communication Mr Lawal Bapah has announced dedicated lines for Nigerians in China(wuhan) to contact once there's an Emergency, The contacts are: Mr Austine Ekeayanwu, Minister Consular and Immigration; +15010266280; Mrs Ayo Luther-Ogbomode, Minister/Political +13716244174 and Mr Lawal Bappah, Minister/Public Communication, +13520156753.

3- The FG has increased surveillance in five international airports which include in Enugu, Lagos, Rivers, Kano and the FCT. This was disclosed by Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, on Tuesday, 28 January, 2020.

He also urged airlines and the public to call stipulated lines at the airport's entries to share any information on the virus, and gave the telephone numbers as: 09092996283; 08095553232.

4- Nigeria Centre For Disease Control(NCDC) partners with Chinese Authorities.

Joshua Obasanya, the Director, Prevention and Programme Coordination, NCDC, said that the centre had been collaborating with Chinese authority in Nigeria to ensure that citizens that travelled for holiday to that country(China) delay their coming.

Good morning, your concerns are in line but also, it is not right to insinuate that the government has abandoned Italy citizens in Wuhan.

Though evacuation might not happen soon but FG has advised that those in China adhere strictly to precautionary instructions and also report /keep in touch with the embassy in China.
