A real massacre in Marte
|
fufubear:A real massacre. |
People are getting desperate ![]() |
shadowprimezero:Could well be. |
Looks like Mi-171Es are also being used for airstrikes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1y_GDUTHlw&feature=youtu.be |

kabe1:Agreed without reservation ![]() |
Uncle Deji @DejiAdesogan · 1h UPDATE: Troops of Operation Lafia Dole with NAF close air support has finally repelled ISWAP terror group deadly attack launched on Marte town & a military base. Insurgents guntrucks destroyed by air strikes as massive hunt on d fleeing fighters still ongoing. Full details later. |
Oladeligt:He knows more than the military in all aspects. Didn't you know? |
fachfouch:Exactly why the Nigerian Armed Forces have been restructuring in the past few years with creation of more specialised units as they had no experience of COIN/CT warfare. It takes years to get the desired result, hence there are more successes in the last few weeks/months. Also, with more specialised equipment arriving, there is light at the end of the tunnel. |
kabe1:There are other projects of the Nigerian Navy waiting to be inspected in Germany, South Africa, UK & US, so who knows what is expected. https://m.facebook.com/Gagdi40/posts/690488161533443 |
fachfouch:Apart from that video being an old one, would this video below of the Egyptian Army be enough to call for restructuring?
|
See example below of a country having to deal with internal COIN/CT problems and not foreign armies going to other countries for a few months or years then running away. Egypt Defence Review @EgyptDefReview Jan 9 More examples of longstanding tactical frailties in North Sinai: No security, zero situational awareness, unarmed, abstaining from protective equipment, and poor reaction to enemy fire.
|
komekn:Keyboard warrior strikes again. Go and enlist and show them. You don't know me as well nor do you know the constraints that are having to be dealt with by the military. You're the one with limited knowledge about COIN/CT warfare, so don't come here pretending otherwise. All talk from textbooks. |
komekn:Keyboard warrior. You don't know more than the military. Go and look at how the Egyptian military with all their shiny toys are struggling with IS in the Sinai. |
Amazing. You get keyboard warriors telling hardened soldiers what they require or don't require on the battlefield. Soldiers need to be mobile so having LAVs is preferable to Hilux technicals. Not every scenario requires MRAPs. Besides, we don't know all the equipment being used and what is expected. Additional notes. It is always when progress is being made they appear. Never well done soldiers, always criticism to put a dampener on everything. The 5th columnists on this thread enh! |
illumined:I will leave you to your frustrations in life. ![]() |
bidexiii:You got that right. See im face sef . Typical Ipob, like his mate ![]() |
illumined:You will not succeed Many of your ilk have come and gone over the years. When you grow up, you will realise. ![]() |
Since when is it okay for people to come on a thread to insult people who are minding their own business following their interests? It is just plain bullying & trolling. If you don't like people loving the military go and hug a transformer ![]() You will not succeed. We will continue to love the military. Go and create your own thread and let me help you with a name to attract the dregs "we hate Nigerian Military with all our might - duscuss". Bunch of frustrated ingrates. ![]() |
It was peaceful and tranquil until someone quoted him, I believe a lot of us have been here for a long time. We should know how to deal with people that seek attention by now. I'm sure he/she had a hard-on when he saw that quote. LET'S DO BETTER, DON'T FEED THE TROLL!
() |
BabaOwen:Yeah! It was RPG through the rear ramp as they were coming in to disembark. It was called a lucky shot. Helicopters' main and tail rotors are very susceptible to RPG rounds as well and even concentrated firepower on any point on the aircraft. |
Toju200:Don't worry, people say it is a scam, which means things are not as bad as being portrayed. They can't have it both ways. ![]() |
kabe1:You can never have enough helicopters. More tactical troop carrying and utility helos are needed like yesterday. |
Faithful007:No helicopter is completely safe, no matter how well protected, that was why the initial criticism of the heli was unwarranted. These are the same helicopters that have been used by the NAF in the NE for operations since inception, and again, they did their job. If it wasn't suitable for the role, it won't be used. An American Chinook was shot down by RPG with SF on board some years back in Afghanistan during an attempted rescue and killed all on board. |
LTGEN:It doesn't fit their narrative, but we will continue to expose their hypocrisy. |
Faithful007:"The two helicopters were handed over to the NAF on 27 January 2017 after they were seized on 7 November 2016 when the importer could not produce end user certificates. They were originally destined for Rivers State to protect oil and gas facilities and were equipped with night vision equipment, armour plating and cameras. They were supposed to bypass import duties. The new helicopter will be deployed to the Northeast as part of the efforts to strengthen the counterterrorism campaign against Boko Haram." They were manufactured with armour plating. https://www.defenceweb.co.za/aerospace/military-helicopters/nigerian-air-force-commissions-second-bell-412-into-service/ |
bidexiii:It just shows their true intent. They haven't got the boys' interests at heart really. |
For any one interested, the information from 'Uncle Deji', who is very reliable on security matters, is that the tape of the boys was sent to BH by the bandits during the negotiation to hand them over to them, but were frustrated by the NA and other security services that surrounded their location making the handover virtually impossible. Make of that as you may. |
Why are you all giving yourselves HBP? The boys were kidnapped and have now been freed whatever way it happened. Be happy if you were really concerned about them and not merely aggrieved they are free for other reasons. |
