Bleep off my mention I said what I said and I will keep repeating it. Nigeria needs help and the sooner we realise this the better for everybody. It's obvious the gov't lack the political will to do what is necessary; that isn't really surprising since we have hardcore Jihadist presently in gov't whose only angst against Bokoharam lies in the modus operandi of the terror group & the C-in-C haven't taken action against them.
I repeat again incase you missed it Nigeria needs all the help she can get even if it's from anywhere both in personnel and equipments.
Oya!! Cry once more; cry again!!!!!
Actually, you are the one literally crying here, not me.
This is just an emotional outburst from you, nothing sensible from your quote. grin

If truly our troops need help, i do think we might require an American base or British base, in fact Chinese base. Then we ruin and become another Afghanistan.

I do remember Buhari telling AFRICOM to bring a base in Nigeria/West Africa. Maybe he's already buying this idea.

In my honest opinion, the Nigerian armed forces requires TOTAL reorganisation. I do watch budget defenses by different MDAs in the National Assembly. Those lawmakers don't really know what's happening except for a few.
Nigeria does not need foreign intervention. We all know the solution to our problems. Is not like we've tried all local solutions and failed. It's that, we aren't even trying to solve the issue. The Nigerian problem is interwoven between all sectors. A failure of a sector, affects the other.

The Nigerian Armed forces need more funding. 10 billion dollars a year would change the course of this war because each element of the military would be made better. We need to Reorganize our Paramilitary. Many civil defence peeps don't know their purpose.
Buhari didn't Specifically said Africom to set up a base in Nigeria, he simply said in Africa, and theatre of operations.

We ain’t commenting with emotions bro. The Nigeria Military needs to also improve on its PR game and also avoid posting what ain’t true.

We have several cases of the Military denying Bases we’re not overrun, only to see ISWAP drinking bottled water right in the base during attacks.

Th Nigeria Military has now made “Repelling” to look like an overwhelming victory and a necessary end to this Insurgency war.

Don’t be surprised if ISWAP changes the narrative about this attack with their propaganda video. We f**king lost a Brigadier General bro and not a Lance Corporal that is a very Loud message from ISWAP. Do not be surprised they might have taken military prisoners from that Ambush…. The same day we lost a Brigadier General and we should give a Pat on our back for killing two dirty ISWAP dirty bastards?

Security Agencies should up their game immediately and move against these dirty bastards.

Something needs to be done ASAP. The federal Government and security agencies should teach them in a Language they understand.
And who told you that only 2 ISWAP fighters were killed yesterday? You see what I'm talking about emotions, you are angry about the lose of the brigadier general, just other people, but take away the angers in you and now use your brain.
So you would rather believe the terrorists propaganda over the military news? Pls answer the question.

Nigerian military only needs money.
The money required does not even break the bank.
The resources in terms of men required, Nigeria has it in orders of magnitudes more than many African countries combined.

Most people calling for outside help in Nigeria come from "trading" backgrounds. Well, sorry war is not okirika market stuff. If your brain can't process higher stuff then no need for comments.

Let me shove the map of Africa in your face and ask you to choose where the "men" to fight will come from.
Ethiopia is being destroyed as we speak

Southern African countries are bogged down in Mozambique and great Lakes issues.

Chadian Army is less than 30,000 men.

Niger Republic Army is so small, it should be illegal - less than 12,000 men

Cameroon Army is also very small.

All other West African countries are fighting radical Islamic terrorists.

Nigeria has demonstrated the capacity to train 8000 men in six months.

Nigeria will fix its security issues. You guys should face your second hand clothes business.
Absolutely.

It's very clear our military needs help but some idiotic self deluding fellows keep decieving themselves. They think calling for assistance means calling the Military useless, even the US with all its resources would hardly go into any war w/o alliance(s) talkmore of Nigeria that is still struggling to consistently spend $1bn yearly solely for procurements/upgrades. Is it not 2 weeks ago COAS was complaining bitterly about the slashing of army's budget yet we shouldn't seek for help anywhere we could. Even soldiers on ground will tell you they will welcome the idea of getting reinforcement from regional blocs even if it means them holding the fort along border towns.
As for the ewures shouting that we only amplify bad news, so we should keep quiet when soldiers die because they're not human beings with families. In the US death or casualties of noncommissioned- soldiers can bring a gov't down talkmore of an army General but in Nigeria we should hush it all up and amplify BHT casualties as if the lives of those renegades equates to that of soldiers. We should keep quiet and not shout so that gov't will see the need to fund the military as it should putting in mind that we are literally the mouth piece of these soldiers as they can't speak for themselves.
Well!!! The cycle continues..
You are still repeating this nonsense again for the second time.
What has been the benefits of the multinational joint task force so far? What have they achieved in defeating Boko Haram/ISWAP right in their border? Use your brain, not emotions.

Our troops won was of the best battles of 2021, despite the loses of the senior officer and 3 other soldiers that paid the ultimate price gallantry yesterday.

These are the pictures of troops success yesterday.

Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Roan77: 11:16am On Nov 14, 2021
I just don't know why you guys are being dramatic, our troops had success in yesterday attack, 9 gun trucks and 1 APC were destroyed yesterday, despite losing 1 senior officer and 3 other soldiers to an ambushed, they gained success, but you know Nigerians will talk more about the lose of the senior officer to divert the success gained yesterday, just to humiliate the military.

It's high time we rally support from ECOMOG and AU or even the UN to come assist us with both men and equipment; if we can rally about 10,000 contingents of these regional forces to take on these terrorists head-on it will go a very long way in this war. It's getting obvious that the military is overwhelmed/overstretched coupled with the fact that they're heavily underfunded especially the Nigerian Army. We should tuck in this big brother abi na giant of Africa mantra in our pockets and seek for assistance anyway and anywhere we could this war has already lingered for too long we can't build a nation in a perpetual state of internal-war.
Nonsense.

Whyem15:
Nigerian army already released a statement confirming the death of Brigadier General Dzarma Zirkusu.

Surveillance drones will help in early detection of terrorist and for situational awareness, it will not stop the terrorist from overrunning military bases, only stronger fortifications and base defenses will.
An earlier article posted on this forum on the attack on Askira uba quoting a CJTF personnel asking for help because the base only had 9 guntrucks as against the terrorist 16 guntrucks showed the army is still not fully committed to this war. Troops behind heavy concrete structures, ditches and barriers armed with anti-material riffles, mortars, recoiless riffles and even grenade launchers with mines and claymores to prevent attacks from their flanks and rear can comfortably take out most of the enemies guntrucks. But they just leave troops on open fields with only ditches as defense and very few guntrucks/armored vehicles and expect the troops not to be quickly swarmed from multiple directions.

Recently learnt from Beegeagles that when Gwoza town fell, the battalion protecting it had only one panhard VBL and an Otokar cobra APC to defend the whole town, nothing else apart from the small arms with the troops. And we expect better results.
5 gun trucks against 16 actually.

Why do I have to thank someone who really can’t tackle insecurity in the land. You can’t travel from Warri to Auchi without fearing for your life. One idiot hear said I thank the inept fool in Aso Rock!
Three weeks ago I bought four cartons of dubic malt at the rate of 3700. Today it’s selling for 4300. Why do I have to sing the praise of someone who has brought economic hardship to land?
This is not a political thread, this is battle field discussion thread, for Christ sake, go to a political thread and express and wail about the president, and the price of items or better still you can match to Aso rock and express your displeasure about him please.

Please don't speak from ASSUMPTIVE ignorance.

If you must make a proposition make it from a standpoint of knowledge and be substantive.

How much does one LC79 Toyota pick up cost or HiLux and or Ranger all upwards of $40k. What's the shelf life of these soft pick up trucks. After a fewengagements on the front , being punctured with AK47 rounds like a knife through butter. I have no statistics, but 6 months is probably the best. Imagine the money wasted on renewing these pick up by trucks every 6 months it thereabouts, they just get destroyed so easily.

So what you have is a penny wise pound FOOLISHNESS approach which personifies our. "Manage am like that" culture that pervades our society.

In this regard which would you rather be inhuh huh , A refurbished Armoured platform that has far higher survivability rate, resilience against small arms fire, IED's, as well as being fit for purpose.

I could easily get 2/3 used but still very effective and capable armoured platform with real offensive capabilities for the cost of one LC79 soft skinned pick up truck . That destroys your poorly though out ASSUMPTIVE based proposition.

So we should ABSOLUTELY no excuse WHATSOEVER to allow our prized and valued combatants to be going in suicide soft skinned pick up trucks.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE.
I agree with you on this, we should never allow our troops go to operations with soft skin vehicles.
