Olamide’s signee, Fireboy DML topped the winners’ list at the 14th HEADIES which held on Sunday night by carting five awards in keenly contested categories. They are ‘Album of the year’, ‘Best R&B album’, ‘Best Pop Album’, ‘Headies Revealtion’ and ‘Best R&B Single’. For a first-timer, it was quite a feat. Following the win, he takes over from his boss, Olamide Badoo, who won the ‘Album of The Year’ award for three consecutive albums between 2013 and 2015; YBNL, Baddest Guy Ever Liveth, and Street OT. Fireboy’s second studio album, ‘Apollo’, released in 2020, is the fourth YBNL album to clinch the ‘Album of The Year’ award.
At the 13th edition of the headies award, Fire boy was nominated in the highly sort after next rated category alongside Rema, Lyta, Victor AD, but Rema won the next rated category that year. The sign of a true winner is as evident in Fire boy as he bounces back at the 14th headies awards to win a whooping five award in one night. That is a marvelous bounce back and a sign of greatness that has been displayed by the Ybnl star. The Fire in Fireboy seems not to be stopping as he wins awards in tough categories. Congratulations to Fireboy Dml.

The North has budget for education than any other region but backwardness won't let dem shine..
The library they haave in the school I served enn, have never come across such in a public school down south and still the only thing the student comes in to do is glance tru picture and laugh, even teachers can barely express dem self.

A photographer has narrated the horrible encounter he had with Amotekun operatives in Ibadan.

He said he was on his way from church at 12 noon on Dec 22 when he saw people running. He later discovered they were running from Amotekun, the south western security outfit.

He explained that since he committed no crime, he continued driving and he saw them shoot at a man who went to ease himself in a bush. Fortunately, they missed.

He explained that his face registered his displeasure at what they had done so one of them told him to drive off. He said he responded that he was doing that but the road was too bad to allow him drive at a faster pace.

This angered the Amotekun operatives and they asked him to alight from his car. He said they were aggressive and one of them threatened to blow his head off.

He said they searched his trunk and saw his photography gadgets. He had to explain what he does for a living to them.

He added that they started cursing him and said "Ogun will kill his mum."

He concluded by asking why the security outfit should be allowed such power to intimidate citizens without control.

He wrote: "I'm scared we have unleashed monsters who will do more harm than good if we don’t curb these excesses! Funny thing is I support the force but now, I’m not so sure anymore!"
