I am not a follower of any party but I have always liked Mr president. Unfortunately I must say that he is getting it all wrong by the manner he is handling this issue of the defection of the speaker. Speakers and members in various houses of Assembly have been defecting to various parties without any dust raised. I believed that the president is a very tactical man but he got it wrong this time. As a lawyer, I always tell ppl that a litigant who has a good case may end up losing his case due to his indiscretion. There is a way the presidency would ve handled this matter Mr speaker would ve lost face politically and in the public area. NASS belongs to Nigerians. No one should stop any citizen's right of ingress and egress from NASS. I belive we don't have a monarch as head of government in Nigeria or military rule. The dangerous thing about this is it stands the chance of encouraging civil unrest in the country. The legislature which is an INDEPENDENT arm of government should be allowed to handle its business without interferance from the executive. |
It is appalling that a health institution of this nature should be in this condition. It is equally unfortunate how we tend to politicise everything. Some ppl have been pouring insults on the Minister for health and Mr President without first ascertaining if the said facility is a federal one. It is glaring and lucid that the health facility in question is a state owned one as such the following questions beg for answers. Who are those directly responsible for the maintenance of this facility? Why is the allocation meant for this facility not being put to use? These are some of the questions ppl of Ogun state should be asking. They also have a house of Assembly that can check the lapses of the executive agency responsible for that health facility. |
One funny thing about this whole issue is how complex, interesting, strange and sometimes dangerous romance and relationship can be. I believe that a lot of ppl need to have exposure in relationship before they go into marriage. One major area that guys in particular over look is the importance of bedmatics to women although they don't admit it openly because of the society we are in. How many guys and even women know elementary intimate parts of a woman. How many know where the G spot is, where the skene gland is, where even the cliit is? I am not advocating for promiscuity but as a lawyer I ve seen so many divorce matters instituted by women and underneath everything you get to find out that unsatisfactory relationship in the bedroom ruined a once beautiful marriage. |
By the way its lovely that NL juveniles ve not invaded your thread to tongue lash u for daring to ve the appellation "retired seductress" LOL. |

As it stands now, nollywood actors and actress ve a lot of work to do before setting their sight on the Oscars. |
I believe we have talents who can win an oscar. Its just that one has to first break into the American market. Secondly it will also take a lot of hard work on the actor's or actress's acting. I normally use Tom Hanks as an example. If you ve watched him in batman and saving private Ryan's movies you will agree with me that it would be hard recognising him in the award winning movie Forest Gump. He was so different. That is what I call true acting. Interpreting a role and not sounding or acting the same way all the time. Little wonder he won an oscar for his role in that movie. Again nollywood actors and actresses must repackage themselves. I love the way Genevive is doing her thing by selecting roles thereby making our script writers and producers sit up not like Mercy Johnson that accepts all manner of roles in all manner of movies at her level. It is indeed appalling. So having said this little I feel Genevive, Omotola, Nse Ikpe, RMD, Rita Dominic, Yul Edochie are some nollywood actors that can win an Oscar if they work hard and land atleast a supporting role in a hollywood boxoffice movie. |
CHELSEA FOREVER |
It is indeed most unfortunate that the military had to carry out a coup in Lesotho in this day an age. African states must intervene before it trickles down to Nigeria. |
