I applied for renewal via drop box 2 weeks ago and got issued (b1 b2 for visit, christmas vacation). problem now is i have just missed my period ohhhhhh. I had my first baby there , left at 26 weeks and was there till i gave birth. went visiting two other times after that. As it is now, deffinitely i would want to have this baby there. Do i email them to ask whether i should apply for a medical visa? i dont know what to do...cos i didnt know i would get preg when applying.....my husband had been away and came visiting and then this happened......

Dear Justwise, i have a question.

I completed my Msc program in 2011 june and visa expired in August. By November, i wanted to go for a one week short course in Uk and applied for a student visitor visa, since they said that is what is required. They gave me a 6 MONTHS MULTIPLE ENTRY for the 1 week course. The student visitor visa is expiring in April. I went for the course and came back after one week. My Msc graduation is in March. Since this was multiple entry can i use the visa to go for the graduation or i need to apply for an ordinary visitor visa.

Finally!!! though i wonder why they did not mention etisalat. Etisalat is as bad as the rest jare.

hi all. Please need your advice on this. My 6 months visa is expired, and i am supposed to go for a 3 day course in uk this december. The course is directly related to my occupation. I have paid for the course already (costs just 300 pounds). I have letter from my office stating i work with them, and my leave period, which co-incides with the date of the course, my payslips and all. salary varies between 170 and 200k per month, depending on how many night shifts we do.

the problem now is this, I have been saving for this course, and had about 1.2m in my account, before a family emergency cam up 2 weeks ago, and i had to borrow someone 1m. The next day however, i was able to get back 500k and pay back into the account, and then on friday i got back another 205k back from the person, making it now 705.

my question is this, since the money wasnt stable for the 28 days as i always hear, is it possible to still apply? since i paid in the last 205 on friday and plan to apply tommorow, will it look like lump deposition of money? thanks

Honestly begging for forgiveness is not an option, i didnt do anything wrong. So far, he has been begging everyday and calling my relatives to plead with me. When he pleads and begs like that i feel the urge to forgive him because he is so remorseful, but on the other hand i do not want to get married to someone that would be cheating on me regularly.

   As part of visa application process, you must have submitted every needed document to support same, so, it's unlikely that the visa officer would ask for more documents except if you have to support claims with it or, you're required to verify such.
   If you're a medical Doctor, then, the conference orginisers or your board of directors should cover you, then, why worry about the documents to present?
   Are you a genuine medical Doctor? If so, how come your own mother is the one sponsoring you, what happened to your medical board? Are you sure it's not your plan to run away and hide under your fiance's sister?
   Why the question about how many days booking you need if really you're a genuine Doctor going on a conference? You should know how many days your confrence would last and so on


Anyway, goodluck with your pursuit, but i think you should have asked for other advice, ie, hints on how to beat the visa officer instead of this lame attempt to fool us as though we're the deciding officers.

Oga no need for insult oh, biko. I didn't submit any documents when filling my application. By documents i mean bank statements, letter of invitation from my future sister inlaw etc. Actually i dont know if i need her tax and all that, since i am staying in her house, but she isnt the one sponsoring the visit. i already have my mothers bank details and her tax. Secondly, my organization is not paying for the conference because they DID NOT send me for the conference. I am going on my own accord, so i can add it to my CV and also broaden my knowledge in my field.
Thirdly, yes i am a doctor. Which medical board infact, which board in Naija sponsors individuals to travel? does Nigerian Bar association sponsor lawyers to travel? How much do you think doctors in naija earn, that i would have saved up enough to pay for the journey and my two week stay on my own?

Lastly, my conference is four days, but i only booked one day, as i couldnt get a space in the hotel where the conference is taking place, so i got another one nearby but plan to change if space comes up.

Na wa o. nairalanders, i don't know why men are running away from me o. i broke up with my last boyfriend who wanted me to wait till i was 32 before marriage, now, this new one, another story don commot. i talked to him about it. he says its unfair for me to leave him. He says that i am putting him under ressure. he also says, despite the fact that we met a year ago, we actually started dating 4 months ago, which is kinda true. He claims he could try and see vision 2010 or 2011 but that he cant make any promises because that would depend on circumstances at that point in time, financially, carreer wise, etc. He says am putting him under pressure, and indirectly proposing and threatening.

its sad though. i guess i have to take the necessary actions. he says i should not break up, but that seems like the only option. i mean, whats the aim of dating when he's made it so obvious that there's no future for us.
