Business / Shoprite Partners Foodclique In Fight Against Hunger by rockebolla: 7:03am On May 26, 2016
SHOPRITE PARTNERS FOODCLIQUE IN FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER

Africa’s leading retail shop giant Shoprite has thrown its weight of support behind FoodClique Support Initiative in a bid to help tackle hunger on the Nigerian shores and also fulfill its corporate social responsibility in the society.

In kick-starting the campaign, Shoprite will be providing non-perishable food items which will be distributed to various families in need on their behalf by FoodClique Support Initiative.

Over the years Corporate Social Responsibility remains a key aspect to Shoprite's business. Through their Community Network a good number of charity organisations and schools have benefited and they are glad to partner with FoodClique Support Initiative in tackling hunger as they support them to feed hundreds of people who starve to bed every night in the ongoing awareness program to eradicate hunger.

The Founder and CEO of FoodClique Bolajoko Fadipe on his part expressed his delight at the development stating “We are excited to partner with Shoprite to help raise awareness for domestic hunger and ensure more families have meals on their tables on a regular basis.”

This partnership comes as a rallying point in the wake of the freedom from hunger bill recently sponsored by Senator Theodore Orji while we hope that this remarkable step by Shoprite will act as a clarion call in eradicating hunger in Nigeria and inspire many more corporate bodies to partner with hunger relief organisations to put food on the tables of an estimated 795 million people who go to bed hungry world wide

Mr slimfit check your facts but incase you don't know these are the bills she sponsored

Nigerian Infant Welfare Scheme Bill, Nigeria with Disabilities Bill, Bill to amend the railway act to allow private sector and state participation, Nigeria Diaspora Commission Bill, An Act to Eliminate Violence in Private and Public Life and A Bill to Promote the Advancement of Nigerian Women and Girls...

slimfit1:

I'm asking as a woman what bill has she sponsored that would have better the lifes of children and mothers that is my question I don't care about diaspora she is a clueless woman who unfortunately happens to have been a journalist. She doesn't have the character of a person that knows what she is doing apart from speak big English that the queen herself don't use.

a woman like her should be in serious department that impact ordinary people she assign herself to be chairman of rubbish we still didn't see anything good comingffrom her .

If a woman will one day rule lagos I think it is Abike because of her good track records. She can give it a shot because as a 3 term member of the House of Rep I can say she is also experience to rule Lagos.. she is chairman on Diaspora Affairs and as chairman she has performed very well.. The men has been ruling why not let us try a woman.... one thing I like about her is her passion and compassion to the common man...
