I'm currently in Halle (Saale) and I'm in need of accommodation in Berlin as from 1st April. Tried responding to ads on wg-gesucht but hardly any reply. A long stay option will be most preferred. Please PM if you have any offer or can link me to one.

please for those that had their blocked account opening on tuesday, have you received any visa interview mail yet from the embassy? For others in the house, is it normal for someone to book for visa interview and four days later, no mail for the embassy. Please help a brother, cos this long wait is killing me.

It seems the procedure for securing appointments for student visa interview in Lagos has changed (from observation I made on the website).

For those who sent an email and no confirmation yet, maybe you should try this.

Go to: https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/choose_realmList.do?locationCode=lago&request_locale=en

Click "continue" under VISA

Then you'll see
- Long term Visa (Students only)
- Long term visa (family reunion, work permit etc NOT STUDENTS)
- Short term visa (Schengen States)

Continue to "Long term Visa (Students only)". There are many open slots there.

As of 2015, the man at the gate gave me this order (see attached picture). Don't know if it's the same for this year.

Yea I have the checklist, but i read on a previous thread that either in part 1 or part 2, that you have to organize it into 3 separate files/folders, and that your admission letter(s) comes on top of each bunch. I thought i had made a screenshot of the order in which it should be arranged, but apparently it seems i did not save it. Hence my question.

Haven't requested a date yet, my offer letter only arrived today from uni. via email, so trying to calm down from over excitement before I go ahead with the next step. Also there was a mistake with my name, so I need to have that sorted as well before proceeding to request an appointment date

pls guys... to those living in studentenwerk hostels where you have about 6 to 7 rooms sharing a kitchen, how do you manage your cooked food? do you leave it in the kitchen, a private refrigerator or what

Please, for those of you who have used an official affidavit of support (Verpflichtungserklärung), I need your input here.
My sponsor resides in berlin and my uni is in saxony anhalt. I have applied for student accomodation but still waiting for confirmation. Could there have been a better way for my sponsor to fill in the lodging address as seen in the pic? If yes, please let me know so it can be corrected. thanks
