Luckyroro: Watched a FIFA world Cup documentary on Supersports yesterday and they described the 1994 World Cup as the best edition since inception. They said it had the best followership across the globe. Oldies in the house, please can you shed more light on this assertion?
romario and Roberto baggio were like the messi and Ronaldo in USA 94, the anticipated tournament was heavily promoted and hyped by FIFA because at that time USA wasn't a football loving nation so FIFA awarded them the right to host the tournament which later turned out to be the most financially successful world cup event.
chronique: I'm a Christian but I can never support what is happening in the Gaza strip. It's pure terrorism and cruelty to innocent humans and grave injustice of the highest level. Anybody supporting that nonsense must be mad and sick in the head. You can't claim to love God and be supporting the killings of innocent people. I'd support anything that would bring to an end, all the madness going on in the Gaza strip even if it means a coalition being formed to battle Israel. This current day Israel is not the one that God gave a promise to. He gave a promise to Christians and not Jews.
thank you very much; I have been scrolling down patiently to spot a post like this but I wasn't seeing any.
His first words: “benfica is a great club with excellent conditions, it is known all over the world. The fact that they are always on the big stage was very appealing to me, in fact it was very easy to chose benfica"
LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid have released a 22 man squad for their friendly game against the senior national team of Nigeria in Uyo on the 22nd of May.

I can't save a picture I like any longer, oga seun what might be the cause? also tell your mods to limit the way they push unavailing posts to the front page.
darkelf: You have a point. But still, I feel we should keep our fingers crossed. They can pull of some surprises you know, but it won't be easy.
Every team is going to this cup with a can-do attitude
that is why I said “eventually if they are not fortunate to win the trophy" am not writing our team off, but the FG should know that we are not favorites to win the tournament but underdogs.

Federal Government Warns Super Eagles: Qualifying For Second Round No Longer Acceptable The Federal Government has warned the Super Eagles of Nigeria that just qualifying from group D of the 2018 FIFA World Cup is no longer acceptable while insisting the team should aim to win the World Cup.
Special Adviser to the President Muhammadu Buhari , Femi Adesina, also charged other African teams not to have low ambitions, adding that funding will not be an issue for the Super Eagles team.
''Nigeria should do well, do very well at the World Cup. You know our target used to be qualifying for the second round, then at a time the target of Africa was getting to the quarterfinal,'' Femi Adesina said.
''I think we should be more ambitious this time, let's go as far as we can get and if we can win, why not, but let us not have low ambition.
''Funds should not be a problem as long as everything is put in place timeously, those who should make the request should make it in good time. If everything is done when it should be done, there should be no problem.''
Nigeria’s best outing at the mundial was finishing at the round of 16 three times in five appearances.
Coach Rohr has released a 30-man provisional squad for the World Cup, as the Super Eagles prepare to play Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in the group stage when the competition starts in June.
this sounds more like a threat; the FG and every dedicated super eagles fan should better not anticipate much from the team during the tournament. We should rather be grateful for what the coach and his technical crew are doing by trying to build a national team for the future. We want a competitive team in the world cup and every other major tournaments, so whereby if they eventually are not fortunate to win the trophy, they can deserve our approbation.
Like GEJ said the blood of the innocent is not worth is political ambition, but i think Ojudu as been compensated.
About this administration, I haven't seen any peaceful electoral process conducted by INEC across the country since they came into power except the Anambra governorship elections.
Drnice2: Let me remind Nigerians, that this Meeting is a Peace/Freedom House Meeting where other Leaders are also invited. And not a sort of a Closed Door Meeting. Meanwhile, Trump has stylishly mocked Nigeria again this time calls it a "thirdpartycountry." Lol! Trump is smart, check his recent tweet. If you doubt me, argue with your fingers.
Mr man don't let @ the bold words jumble your sense of reasoning.
Bede2u: North should get education and stop being the hotbed of every negative thing in Nigeria
I don't really know about the excess consumption of the syrup in north, but here in the south-south it's the same sad story. Young boys and girls endanger their health by constantly abusing the drugs.
diasporaman: A huge sum of money was discovered in the apartment of a Nigerian student by the Metropolitan police. According to reports the bailiff accompanied by the police stormed the apartment of the Nigerian to serve him paper only to discover a huge cache of $8.5million.
The guy who owns the apartment is from the yoroubatribeof Nigeria. In the video he made a call to somebody where he said "mi o ti wole" which means " I'm in a mess"
Below is what a Nigerian wrote in regard to the discovery
"Unbelievable! The Bailiffs in London stormed a Nigerian house which owes some money only to discover $8.5 million stacked away in a cabinet. Legally speaking, can Nigerian government claim this huge money Can you imagine what these Nigerian political animals are doing to our country? May God have mercy on us."
