I think we should understand the country we're into and how Nigerian factor works, it took d.p.r 8 months to send aptitude text invitation and it's one year now we applied for f.i.r.s recruitment and yet no invite or any information about the recruitment ... i don't know why people are thinking this one will be different, i suggest we relax and watch since we don't have power to do anything instead of coming online every munite to ask for recruitment list.....

Those agencies you mentioned had issues with budget funding...As for nis, the fund was approved before now that why the other 888 people are in camp now.
Plus, prisons is to follow after nis recruitment so they would want to rap this up quickly and proceed with the next.

Let just be hopeful and pray seriously. They are other things to be considered be they release the list.

Shortlisting have been concluded last week. The board met yesterday to decide on the next step of action. So hopefully this week let see what will happen.

@yanabasee, you have a point but some people stretch the use of sense of humour. Like the other incident that happened, it was uncalled for. Some people abuses privellege. Like the past questions and guarantor crews. For the people that didn't print confirmation slip you have the application id number in your mail you use to register and come here every day to mourn how you forgot to print it.

Plus; Thread is open for anyone to drop credible information.

Muhammad Babandede, The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), has revealed that only 1,112 officers will be recruited during the current recruitment exercise by the service.


It can be recalled that the last recruitment exercise conducted by the service in 2014 ended in controversy as many applicants lost their lives in the process. He intimated that the ongoing recruitment exercise is to supplement and correct the impasse in 2014 recruitment where 2000 applicants were recruited controversially. The comptroller general of the service hinted that 2,000 persons were controversially employed and offered appointment letters without following due process in the recruitment exercise.
Hence, only 888 were absorbed after screening while the remaining 1,112 persons were laid off. "The ongoing recruitment exercise is to fill up for the 1,112 persons that were laid off by the service". He said

taaa which training they take place in state of origin, my sister from kwara is in aoda now in portharcourt for training.. and wu says 2015 are working? 4 where? after their a week training in portharcourt that time, they were bn issued appointment letter in which they started another 3 months training in dere respective state of origin. they never completed it when buhari came in. they were dismissed till further notice not until last year that they were bn considered, they undergo another screening, out of 2000 candidates that were previously selected, they screen them to 800 in which 800 were bn given appointment letter in Abuja late last year, the selected candidate proceed to another fresh training at their respective state for a month before they officially gave them uniform and conducted swearing ceremony this year in March, they never work up to 2 months before another circular came in to proceed for futher training exercise At Aoda in portharcourt up till now they are still in training school.. My blood sister is there. i knw every bit of information about them. pls be guided, i do my findings before i post here.

Bros why the vexation? People have various sources of information that may not be true. Let me tell you something you may not know, if you start to hearing rumours about things like this be rest assured that something is cooking. I myself I was at the ministry today to see if I could lay hold of any info but my mission was futile. But I could discern that things were happening. Infact, I approached a man working there just to squeeze anything I could get from him about the recruitment if see the way the man shunned me he told me clearly that his not ready to say anything about the recruitment. That nothing have started yet. I know within me that they warned about it to stay clear.

Exactly. But their goal is basically to eliminate because the applications are too many apparently. So fastest method for them is to screen out based on their requirements and people who applied wrongly. The one I'm sure of is that they're already working on it.

The board have a lot on their table then...I don't envy them at the moment. Let just see how things goes. The I'm not sure they are going to follow the recruitment process in a bullet form. It's going to be alter probably the CBT is going to forked(figuratively speaking ) out. Thanks for your input.

I honestly don't know but certainly the shortlisting is next on their to do list. They just finished with promotion exercise for immigration officers, so next up is this recruitment thingy.

Since is going to be an electronic shortlisting at this stage it would take much of their time i guess. Probably a week should do.

Not give the states more resources and great power to influence those resources is useless.

What is feared here is recklessness of the state governors. When given the responsibility, there may fly overboard.

If your age doesn't match what they asked for, if your height is below the requirement and if you misapplied ( ie position you applied for). They should begin shortlisting this week sha.
