AmazingBen: Hello Accolade, I've never travelled from Abuja to Otukpo straight, but at Benue links in Area 3 you'd get buses going to Otukpo from Abuja.
As for the fare, I'm not sure but it should not exceed 6k, that's me being too cautious, it should be in the range of 4k-6k, I'm not 100% certain so don't take my word for it.
As for the hotel accommodation, whether or not you can book in advance and price range, I have no clue, but I believe you can find something useful on google if you search for hotels in Otukpo.
Thanks Abuja to otukpo is 3500. A decent hotel accommodation for a night is around 4-5k. Cost of living is low. |

sunday83: Just finished listening to d above program, the minister said the recruitment process will be completed before d end of the year and that new recruitment maybe in d fire service will soon begin, nd that we should be patient, they want to ensure transparency in NSCDC ND NIS recruitment. This shows clearly lack of funds. They must have used the funds for somethings else hoping to source funding from another channel... |

Yujiz: Ur source? It’s obvious. House of Rep members wants more slots for graduate whereas none is available again. The higher cadre slots need to be balanced if not it will create a lot of anomalies. The only saving grace now is the media. Evil thrives when the oppressed is silent. Let send mail to all media houses let them beam search light on the recruitment. |

Mimijenipha: Dear NIS & NSCDC applicants, i think it is high time we mount pressure on those in charge of our recruitment, for the long awaited shortlist to come to lime light.
It is on record that the secretary to the board of interior - Alhassan Yakmut, through his press release in December 2020, shortly after CBAT conducted for shortlisted NIS & NSCDC held on 7th and 8th December 2020 respectively. He promised that we would be shortlisted before 15th December 2020, but unfortunately, the statement failed.
Exactly on the 13th of February 2021, the Comptroller General Of Immigration - Muhammed Babandede also gave an update on NIS recruitment, he said "We shortlisted 6,000 candidates for final screening and only those that are fit and qualified will be recruited as officers of the service in the next two weeks", the purported two weeks is going to a month now.
However, "Daily Trust" has been the notable media house reporting various recruitment updates, particularly for military and paramilitaries. I therefore want us all to bombard politely, The "Daily Trust" media, with our concerns over the delay in the shortlist.
Imagine, if over 100,000 applicants message Daily trust media *demanding for their intervention, by asking those in charge, the reason for the delay, appealing to them on our behalf to fast track the process and immediately send us a positive and published feedback.*
Lets call, send text, email and rebroadcast this message for us to achieve a common goal. I hope with this, we shall get positive result before this weekend.

bjgurl: Hello guys, good afternoon trust your day is going smoothly, I received a call from someone this morning and it's so good to be true, he said he is one of the staff where I served and I don't really remember him, which brings up this note I am writing, he said is name is Mr A. and he is now in kastina border, he is one of the Junior staff in immigration service, he asked about what I am doing, and I told him everything, he then said I should call him in the next five minutes, I called him after 30 minutes because I am busy, and then apologize for calling late, so he said he have someone in Abuja that can help me, they are doing internal replacement exercise, let say that man name is Mr.B. Mr. B was very calm and polite. I tell him Mr A referred me to him, so he tell me to send my qualification, location and the likes which I did. Where the red flag comes in is when he said I will pay #10,000 for the form. That the controller general will sign on it, and I will come for training next week Monday which will last for one month. They will pay #20,000 at the end of the training but form money is not refundable. This is a one time offer and it is so good to be true. I then called the organization which I worked while serving, they tell me Mr. A didn't work in their organization before. What should I do now. I am confuse about all this issue any immigration officer in the house that can help me, and how true is this. Scam!!!! Scam!!! |

But did your source also inform you of when they'll start contacting applicants?
Is it possible this January? The delay is due to the covid 19 issues. The president just approved teaching hospital for the school. |

Jamb have not transmitted the results of the CBAT to the board yet, hence the delay. Hard copies and soft copies have to be made available for shortlisting and for reference. Let’s hope it’s done before the end of the week. |
