By now u shld receive couple of emails from ur program managers detailing the next steps. U can also email them to find out what u shld do. every partner school has its own way of processing documents with their scholars.

FROM A GENUINE SOURCE, BELOW ARE THE FOLLOWING REASONS WHY NIGERIANS ARE REJECTED BY UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO:

1. Applicants dont check thier admission requirements (ur course requires A's and u submit WAEC of C's, pls how do u get admission?).

2. Some applicants do submit "rich-men" bank statement instead of sending a proper low-income bank statement.

3. Some applicants dont complete the application properly before submitting.

4. Some applicants dont proof-read and spellcheck thier essays while some do exceed the given word limit (suprisingly common).

5. There are errors while typing recommenders email address.
Take it or leave it. I dont need u to believe me, but these are the significant reasons why Nigerians dont get admitted to U of T, Equity bank nor Kenya didnt hijack the scholarship........its just about common sense and adhension to instruction. I stand corrected. God bless us in our quest.

You are ryt jimms, i talked to one applicant who got rejected by McGill. According to him he applied to faculty of arts but in his essays he didn't state clearly what degree he would pursue and how dat degree is going to help him address his community's problems. This isnt convincing and enough.

A Kenyan,not on de waitlist tho, has received the offer from McGill university. So if you are on a waitlist just pray hard and keep ur fingers crossed. 3 scholarship so far.

Congrats Bro. I guess I didn't. I've been placed on the waitlist. I've been told to wait for early April

there is still a chance for u. Dont give up. It seems they are releasing them slowly. I learnt there is another batch of files to be reviewed. If they dont get de number of scholars they expecting i believe they will give u de scholarship. On Monday they received new admissions about 5 or so.So there is still time. Maral also said they will continue given the scholarship till mid april so keep ur fingers crossed bro

Hi peeps, McGill has started another round of reviewing the files for the MasterCard program. Someone has just received a denial. Pray hard if you haven't yet received an email from them.

I had told him that my school teacher had a new email but he again said in yesterdays email that those guys will review my application even without the "financial validation"

but what I don't understand is that the guys told us to inform them if the contacts of the references change but they are not reacting. N then in the worst case, can't they use the phone number provided?

From what u saying I believe, they have already reviewed ur file and since u haven't received any refusal .it clearly means u have been selected for the MasterCard scholarship. If they had not selected u they would have sent u a denial by now. Just keep praying and hoping cos u got it.

I'm still chasing. I checked out the student point service and I got a phone number that I'm yet to call. I couldn't find their contact email. I haven't got a reply from the program manager yet. It seems like he thinks I didnt submit the financial validation form instead of the real issue. I'd written to him again yesterday.

Man not yet. One did last week Saturday but the other has a problem. She can't access her account. I talked to the MCF program manager at McGill and he asked me to submit a new mail which he says he sent to the admission team. I also wrote directly to the admission team as well but to date I haven't heard from them. My school councellor hasn't received an email from them yet

. Keep pressing them.Have u called them on phone?. Any delay in contacting referee will lead to disqualification for the MasterCard program. I think this week is the final. Today is MARCH

. Sydney, someone got denied for the MasterCard scholarship few hours after his references confirmed his validation of status and recommendation forms. The offers will only come in mid march meaning any decision given out now is a denial for the MasterCard program

. According to the Gambian, all his apps were intact. He even had a WASSCE results of 7As so I think they are using essays.

. No there was no mistake. Some people received their reject letters last week. They were not even giving the chance for their counselors to confirm any of the forms. Sydney pray hard OK.

So right now as it stands, 3 people have being denied de MasterCard scholarship for McGill. one from cote divoire, another from Nigeria and de last from Gambia. McGill has started given out reject letters for the MasterCard scholarship. I repeat McGill has started giving out reject letters for the MasterCard scholarship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please McGill has denied 2 people for de MasterCard scholarship. according to one of them, he said after letting his counselors confirm his validation status form and the recommendations forms. they sent him an email 5 hours later and told him he has not being selected for the MasterCard scholarship. what confuses me is that, u thought the decisions will be due in mid march. why are they sending out denials of the scholarship now?
