Politics / Ebube Mbah Calls On Uzodinma To Account For 140 Billion LGA Funds. by RolandAkachi: 8:42am On Oct 30, 2022
Ebube Mbah Calls on Uzodinma to Account for 140 Billion LGA funds.

..Reels out Ihedioha's achievements in the LGAS

This Director General of Ihedioha New Media Center, Prince Ebube Mbah has asked the Government of Senator Hope Uzodinma to give account of over 140 Billion Naira accrued to the 27 Local Government areas of the state in the last 34 Months of his administration.

Mbah, who was a guest on NTA Owerri TV program "60 Minutes Live" made the call while reacting to questions on the preparedness of political parties ahead of the 2023 general and Imo governorship elections.

Prince Ebube Mbah, a member of the People's Democratic Party New Media Committee, stated that under six months of the PDP Government of RT Hon Emeka Ihedioha, the LGA system was revived.

"When my principal, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha was in office, there was a total revival of the LGAs, they received there money and executed flagship projects. Ihedioha's administration revived Imo Rural Road Maintenance Agency (IRROMA), LGAs procured one motor grader and one payloader per local Government for grading of Rural roads, Clock-In technology systems were introduced to checkmate laxity of workers, vehicles were purchased for principal officers of the LGAS, awareded the construction of Secretariat and Stadia to explore the untapped sporting skills in the rural areas, and even invested in what people call "stomach infrastructure".. today, those graders are no where to be found.. what has Uzodinma done with local Government funds in the last 34 Months..." Mbah queried.

The State Publicity Secretary of APC, Mr Cajetan Duke, who spoke on the side of the government, stated that with the Construction of Owerri-Orlu and Owerri-Okigwe roads, Gov Uzodinma has scored a passmark to deserve re-election. He however said the Uzodinma's administration is "conservative" in reeling out their numerous achievements to the public.

In the a swift response, Prince Ebube Mbah dismissed the credit of Owerri-Orlu and Owerri-Okigwe roads as the only major achievements of the Uzodinma's administration in 34 months.

"When they talk about Owerri-Orlu and Owerri-Okigwe roads, what they refused to tell us is that 55 Billion Naira was spent on 92 kilometres of roads, what this means is that they spent almost 600 Million Naira for one kilometre, an outrageous sum. And this is the only thing they can boast of in 34 months. Under six months, Gov Ihedioha awarded over 35 critical roads across the state, he also awarded 400 kilometres worth of RAMP roads across the 27 Local Government areas. It is shameful that Uzodinma is struggling to state his achievements in 34 Months with the FAAC allocation, Oil Derivatives, IGR, LGA funds and the heavy Debt profile he is leaving behind even as the 3R regime has started to wind down" Ebube Mbah Concluded.

Politics / Ihedioha Blast Hope Uzodinma: When Silence Is Not Golden by RolandAkachi: 5:11pm On Oct 16, 2022
WHEN SILENCE IS NOT GOLDEN

Since 14th January 2020 when the Supreme Court of Nigeria supplanted the electoral will of the good people of Imo State by removing me from office, I have maintained a studious silence, refusing to join issues with malcontents who orchestrated the judicial heist despite all the provocations.

I consciously yielded to the maxim that silence is golden, so as not to inflame passion in our Dear State. But there comes a time when silence is no longer golden. That time is now. It appears that some people are not satisfied with their stolen mandate. They want to drag me out by an orchestrated campaign of lies. And those carrying out this campaign of calumny against my person are doing so at the behest of the same man who was imposed on Imo State.

But I understand their dilemma.
Having succeeded in their evil plot of removing me from office, they realized that the bigger battle was winning the hearts and minds of the people. And that is proving difficult. That they have failed to endear themselves to the good people of Imo State in the last 34 months is why they are now desperate. And also becoming dangerous. So dangerous that they are now working with political renegades across party lines.
While in office, Emeka Ihedioha was their nightmare. But they have also realized to their utmost chagrin that even out of office, I have remained a bigger nemesis hence the unceasing campaign of calumny with the sole purpose of damaging my reputation and putting a wedge between me and Imolites. In doing this, there are no off-limits. They have forged documents, concocted voice messages, perjured and maximized the social media in throwing mud to see if anyone sticks.

They use issues that are very dear to our people in this nefarious project.
Two of such devious acts were a purported voice of me making threats and a letter, also purportedly written by me to the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, advising him not to honour the Appeal Court judgement that discharged and acquitted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra so as not to imperil the 2023 elections.

It is laughable and preposterous, knowing my background and predicament that I will be writing to the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation, asking him to continue to illegally hold on to Nnamdi Kanu even after a court of competent jurisdiction had discharged him. What benefits will such a letter confer on me in a matter of such public concern, sensitivity and volatility. How does that make sense?

If anyone should be afraid of a free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, it is Hope Uzodimma. The fact that he and fellow characters will concoct such a letter shows the level they are prepared to go in order to hang on to the power they acquired through dubious means. While Nigerians are aware that those who can forge polling results for manufactured votes can forge anything, I have decided not to keep silent again in the face of this criminal defamation of my character because as we inch closer to the 2023 elections, the evil machinations will intensify.

I am not unduly worried, though, because our people know better. But we can no longer allow criminality to reign supreme. I therefore urge the security agencies to investigate those behind this blatant forgery and bring them to justice. Criminality should not be elevated to an art of governance. Imolites deserve better.

Politics / Igbos Are Not Saboteurs - Ihedioha by RolandAkachi: 8:54am On Sep 28, 2022
IGBOS ARE NOT SABOTEURS - Ihedioha

... Says Peter Obi has raised the odds for Ndi-Igbo

The former Governor of Imo State, Hon Emeka Ihedioha has debunked the news making rounds that he called Igbos who are not supporting Peter Obi Saboteurs. While addressing Newsmen yesterday at Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu, Ihedioha stated that the reports was the handiwork of mischief makers who use every opportunity to tarnish his soaring image.

“In my speech, I made mention of two political parties, PDP and the APC, I said that the presidential candidate of my party the PDP, stands a better chance to win the presidential elections. Nigerians have suffered a lot of evil from the APC administration and anybody supporting the APC to return to power is a saboteur to the progress of Nigeria” Ihedioha said.

He continued.. “Anybody who said I called those supporting Peter Obi saboteurs should produce the video clip. Peter Obi is my good friend for over two decades now, despite our current political differences, I am happy for what he’s doing because he has raised the odds for Ndi-Igbo, his aspirations have proven that indeed, Igbos are not second class citizens in Nigeria, even though I had wished he remained with us in PDP which is a mainstream party that has presence in every pulling unit across Nigeria, but I wish him well.”

“I am a pan-Igbo, nobody loves the Igbos more than I do. When I was the Governor of Imo State, you would recall that I revived the Ahiajuko Lecture Series which united the entire Igbos to collectively chart a cause for our interest in the Nigerian State. There is no way I could have called my brothers who desire good governance saboteurs”.. he said.

The former Deputy Speaker was at the Enugu Airport to receive the PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubarka for a South East PDP Stakeholders meeting which took place at the Base Event Center, Enugu

Politics / Five Reasons Why Atiku Abubakar Will Lose The Presidency To Buhari by RolandAkachi: 12:43pm On Nov 19, 2018
For me, Nigeria’s greatest tragedy is that in the year 2018, its only validly realistic options for president are Buhari and Atiku. These are clearly not the best, or even the third best, Nigeria—or even northern Nigeria-- can offer. However, given Buhari’s irreparably manifest incompetence, I was willing to tolerate an Atiku presidency. Unfortunately, I’ve seen no indication that Atiku wants to be president. He is his own worst saboteur. Here are five quick reasons for my conclusion.

One, Atiku chose Dubai as his venue to hold a strategy meeting

Two, he said he would sell off the NNPC if he becomes president.
