Lol even though I agree to some extent that referrals and recommendations work in the private sector, you must still have the prerequisite qualifications for the job to even be referred or recommended. People referring you are putting their integrity on the line so you must be competent and that's where the difference between Government and Private lies, you don't need to be competent to get a government job.those prerequisite are not for nepo babies .

Don't forget, there are top jobs where referrals don't even work especially Graduate trainees in multinationals. You must distinguish yourself through rigorous assesments and interviews to get those kind of jobs

Please and please, securing a job here is strictly merit-based. Nothing like slot and helping someone secure a job like they do wirh govt jobs.

Hmmmm Alhmdulilah Robilialamina,this thread is 3000,I join when it was around 600 plus during NCDMB recruitment,I meet the likes of Newcastle, Nobody,and lots of them, infact one Igbo woman always give out job to unknown person from nairaland back then ,around 2020,2021, though I was already working then hustling for NCDMB,from this thread one guy advise me to take a job apart from another federal agency that I had at the time,,i saw that a FG agency was giving letter from this nairaland then i shown interest i contacted one person about the job.Alhmdulilah i got the job,it was an info from this trend,it was a class B agency.... Just last year I saw that one of the A list agency about to recruit from this nairaland this thread.i shown interest then Alhmdulilah this year they call me for the job.i can never undermine this thread.God bless all the people that have been giving correct information regarding job.Alhmdulilah for those searching for job make use of this place well and i am sure you will get something better.thanks to all of you....bj01

One SA of a senator just told me to send CV and slips of current recruitment that "he'll try his best" what does this mean abeg? Also, he was asking if the owner of the CV was living in the state of Origin or not, no be winning be that or na standard questions or wetin be the colour of his problem sef?

Giving money in the name of SME is s waste of state resources to me. The money is usually end up in the hands of civil servants and government officials. The few of SME that will benefit will use it for different purpose too.

And you think there's no corrupt people in the private sector too. How many well paying job can a common man child secure in the private sector without referral or recommendations from a prominent board member or HRs
