I'm Igbo but my honest opinion is that ATiku should pick his vice from Igbo speaking part of South south. That will give him all of south south vote and maybe all or part of South east vote. South East has already declared 2 weeks seat at home during election .so this has already render them political useless. Only a foolish man will pick vice from South East currently when they are not ready to vote .
Igbo has the highest population in Nigeria if you combine the Igbo in South East plus Igbos in each of the 36 states in Nigeria. Not to mention Igbos scattered in every city in the world.but we are foolish politically. We make political decisions based on emotions.we tend to have permanent enemy and permanent friend. But in politics,there is no permanent friend or enemy ,only permanent interest.

This my generation of Igbos are total failure politically. But my prayer is that generations not yet born will be wiser during their time and stop playing politics of emotions.

Tell me something. You are Igbo. In a Biafra, Igbos would form the majority population in a country that would include presumably, Ijaws, Efiks etc.

Would you consider it 'unfair and inequitable' if the presidency goes to an Igbo person most of the time?

Nigeria practices democracy, not ''equity and fairness''.

The thing with 'equity and fairness' is that it means different things to different people.

There is no consensus on its meaning or application.

To an average northerner for instance, it is 'fair and equitable' that as the region with the largest concentration of Nigerians, the north should produce most of the presidents, in a democratic dispensation.

The idea that the presidency should be artificially 'zoned' to less populated regions would seem a very unfair and undemocratic practice to him.

And if YOU were a northerner, you would reason the exact same way.

Fact is you simply don't have the numbers, so your best bet is the VP slot, with the hope that your candidate can morph into the future 'Osinbajo', through his good performance, and then with that, gain enough national appeal to vie for the presidency.










We have given everything to PDP for years and they all betrayed us.
Obi came out in the hope they would zone it to us for Equity and fairness but nobody cares about Equity in Nigeria .

We will give obi and his weak labour party all the support that he needs .
At the end anybody can become president , but one thing is for sure , no party will use us for now until we are given our place in Nigeria .
Obi will take our bloc vote and we shall lose happily .
Atiku won't win SE vote ever again , nobody from outside this legion will .
Until we are given a chance for equity and fairness .

Fulani herdsmen was attacking the south eastern people. The security forces did not do anything.

The people complained but nothing was done. And you didn't blame the security forces for failing to their duties.

Ipob formed ESN to protect the people and the people were happy. ESN only attacked the Fulani herdsmen destroying crops and killing people.

Then, army and police went to the bush where they operate to look for their trouble. But ESN was stronger than they expected and they had to run back to the town but ESN chased them to the town.

Instead of the army to continue to fight ESN, they started killing innocent people. The innocent people killed have loved ones. It is the pain they have caused some of them that have made them to retaliate the killings of their love ones. Now, it is risky to be in the east as a gallant man or woman.

You see? The security forces are the cause of what is happening now in the east. It's shameful that you were encouraging the security men then. Now, instead of the security men to diligently investigate killings, they prefer to kill innocent youths. And that's how they keep on building the monster that is currently consuming them.

When south east was peaceful and the people did not carry gun, they sent python dance. Now that they are now carrying guns, I don't know why they are not sending snake dance.
