I’ll just make it brief, I was in my early 20’s, my friends talked me into the journey but I didn’t know they were not travelling with us until the day we left Nigeria.

I didn’t have much information about the journey but because they told me it’s easy and fun I left Nigeria with them.

We were first held by rebels in the desert for 28 days, mind you I left Nigeria Feb 3rd 2009 and I got to Libya in March.

The owner of the uncomplicated building we were living brought the police to arrest us 4 days after I got to the house, some guys were arrested but i and some other guys escaped, we ran into the cemetery and slept there till 6AM.

I found a Nigerian who offered to allow me stay in his house, few days later I told him that I got a connection to cross to Italy and I will be living the following day.

The following morning this guy left the house and locked everyone inside, he returned in the evening with 3 guys, a Ghanian and 2 Nigerians. The moment he entered the house he pointed at me saying this is the boy before I knew what was happening they stated beating me asking me to follow them. I resisted and fought back, the landlord heard the noice, he came knocking so the guys quickly ran away.

The following morning this guy asked me to pay him $300 before he will allow me leave, I said you should have said that instead of bringing people to beat me up. Then I gave him the money and left his house to the camp from where we were to be taken to the sea side.

The same night we were taken to the sea side, when we got there we were ask to sit on the floor and not make noice, about 3 minutes later a small balloon boat came and was taking us 30/30 to the big boat, I was on the 3rd batch, few minutes after I entered the big boat, we saw boats coming towards our direction behold they were coast patrol.

The person that was to sail our boat told everyone that we will all die instead of him to allow the police arrest him then he zoomed off, the police chased our boat till they caught us when we were almost out of Libya territory.

We were arrested and taken to prison on Sunday and we broke the prison on Tuesday and escaped. We were chased all night……. Na long story bro I hope I get to document all that happened on that trip one day. I lost my left eye as a result of the beating I got from the guys that were invited to beat me.

Lol, i think i understand what he is trying to say.. he just happened to misused his words.. i think he mean to portray himself as a contrarian trader, rather than fighting against the market,lol.

secondly, I don't think he actually mean "instinct" per say.
I think what he really means is "Gut feeling".
I believe we all are aware that gut feeling is not something you can consciously learn, it is something you just suddenly realise you have as you make progress in your trading journey over the years.
any veteran trader here knows that having a gut feeling in relation to trading is one of the greatest attribute of a good trader..

Forex trading is not a quick rich get syndrome. I started this journey may last year in my final year in school. My very good neighbor and a friend brought me to the world of forex. I was just eager to start cashing out like him.

But my story was different. Blew $10 account 5 times. I paid school fees like no man's business. It wasn't funny for me that period. Some parts of my school fees and feeding went to forex. It was disheartening. Did I give up? Your guess is as good as mine.

I sat my ass down. Jotted all my mistakes like lack of patience, greed, using bigger lot size, lack of confidence, adjusting my stop loss, and lack of discipline.

But now the story is different. I'm a graduate but not looking for a job. Even though the pay is rewarding, I won't accept it. I thank God I didn't give up along the line.

To newbies, you really need to understand the market like it's yours. Know your resistance and support zones, trend lines are your friend, false breakouts, etc. Give it your time, learn, and study. I myself do study from time to time.

If I can, definitely you can. Forex is my world.

After 6months later, I realize that its all about patience, don't be greed, market makers rule the market as they wish, mastering strategy, stick to your plan, risk management, find another job to support your trading career in case if you go broke

Just an addon on the 1min entry i talked about earlier...
Please do well to lookout for BOS/CHOCH on youtube and learn how to spot them, it will greatly improve your trade results,reduce your trade risk, increase your reward and eliminate fomo during trading.

Looking at the sell on GU on friday... i missed this, had other commitment
All i needed to do was to wait for price to drop into my zone of interest..., Then i drop down to 1mins chart and Lookout for a change in character of price (choch) , wait for price to return to the supply or OB that lead to the CHOCH and i sell at 50% mark of the OB or supply.... The risk on these trades is usually around 3-7pips.
This is the same pattern i wait and watchout for daily on GU... Some days its clearer, some other time u need to train your eyes to be able to spot the OB or supply area.... The same thing is applicable to buy setups. If I don't spot this reversal pattern, most of the time I skip the trade.

By this time last year I knew nothing about forex but ever since I found this thread through its trading contest it makes me realize what strategy means infofirst posted a free telegram channel here that contain lots of premium trading strategy, that's what got me improving day by day..
