I realized that has been the major cause of failure for most traders. Poor risk management and then this disrupt their psychology and they begin to doubt their trading strategy. And that is why I kept on reducing the DD in the contest just to make them adjust and trade the right way. The strategy is not the problem but the traders with terrible risk management which usually destroy their psychology and hence the words forex na scam, brokers are thieves, you can never make it in fx bla bla...Contest DD will be reduced to 10% later


Simplicity in trading is top notch I must confess as well. Fundamental I always find hard to play with but I will pay attn to it at least as back up to tech.

[b]What a contest this time? Obviously getting better. And I guess some body somewhere is challenged and learning and improving. There might be reward attached to it and that is to reward those getting it right and motivate those still struggling. Personally, I have been challenged and I have come to learn much more since the contest started. Kudos to every one participating or following.

Surprisingly, this boss stated sometimes that he is not in the contest for the money and I was wowed by his performance because I am clearly convinced by that statement with the results.. Excellent strategy + fantabulous risk management + Decent Psychology = Rewarding Performance. As a result, I will be giving him #20,000 for that and now he has a choice to either accept the reward or nominate four people here that he will want that I give #5k to each or he just let go of the price.

@jospidos was disqualified at the last minute simply because he failed to send in his login details, despite the warnings, despite the reminders and I personally sent him emails but still no response. I hope he is safe as well. Best wishes. The rules are as important as the results. The fact that most of us do not have rules or keep to our trading rules explains the reason for the struggle in trading and outside of trading.

I will appreciate if you can answer this even thou you have answered it in the past. In your six years of trading struggling and last two years been profitable, what did you learn along the way? what brought about the transformation in your trading results? What will be your advice for that you six years ago? What do you think is responsible for 90% of traders failure? What do you think that I need to be a profitable trader? I want to grow and be better than the type of trader you are today.

Meanwhile, you dont trade Gold like this; Gold is hunted like a predator waiting for its prey.

When you lose 3/4 trades consecutively, just leave the market. Else you'll be trapped in a bid to take revenge. Your psychology will be messed up and that only means more losses.

Well stated and I agreed. Poor trading psychology and bad money management destroys a good trading strategy outcome in the short and long term and then I have come to realize also that some people do not have trading strategy in the first place.


You that is reading this...do you have a trading strategy or plan? Do you usually observe proper money and risk management? what about your trading psychology?

Until your answers are yes yes yes before the breakthrough can come. The good news is that you can provided you do not give up the struggle.

To successfully trade you actually need a good trading psychology and a good money management.

The sooner you know that the sooner you will stop the hunting strategies and just develop what fits you from the knowledge you have or accumulated knowledge you have from other people's strategies and then make your own personalized trading plan so you can follow it without feelings. And over the time maybe improve it.

And you will start focusing on improving your Trading Psychology and Money management so you actually successfully grow accounts and not burn them by your own trading psychology mistakes and poor money management. since no strategy in the world no matter how good you think it is, as soon as a bad trading psychology is applied and bad money management is applied you wont successfully grow a trading account but just burn it eventually, sometimes many times. untill the market humbly reminds you that its a probabilistic environment and the market does not move because of your strategy. but some people think that the problem is their strategy or they did not understand the strategy well, it might be true but still after fixing your strategy mistakes make sure you fix your trading psychology mistakes and money management mistakes. Just as how you remind yourself of all the confluences a trade has according to the strategy you are using also remind yourself of trading psychology facts before taking the trade and use proper money management to protect your equity at all times.

I hope you start focusing on Successfully trading with any strategy you want, like, prefer, understand better, mix whatever you want and personalize it and make your own trading plan of it and follow it with good money management and good trading psychology

In other words, you have taken more than 50 positions since you started trading.
But what did you learn so far, what did you do wrong or right?
Do you just let go and move to another trade?

These are bad habits, STOP and don't keep repeating that.

When you lose 4trades on the same pair consecutively, STOP! STOP!! STOP!!! Look back on those trades and ask yourself the question: Did I not follow my set rules? If YES, you need more discipline to be strict on your rules, I used to have check cards for my rules before I entered trades. If NO! then why panic? keep doing what you are doing, your time will come. yhyh always trust your strategy
