I saw a topic on this issue somewhere else and someone suggested that it was because the governor closed down the baby factories in the state. I don't know if that is the real cause but let's be sincere to ourselves here. Enugu state by far, has the highest number of baby factories in igboland, followed by Abia state. Ebonyi state is still the largest source of raw materials. Another reason for the reduced IGR may be that Anambra businessmen are now redirecting their investments back to anambra state as enugu state no longer offers any attraction as anambra is due to have its own international cargo and passenger airport in a couple of years.
