The Fully Funded Postgraduate DAAD Scholarships programme offers interested and eligible candidates the opportunity to undertake postgraduate studies in Germany or a continuing course of study in the area of architecture. The scholarships also promote the exchange of experience and networking amongst colleagues.

The scholarship opportunity only funds projects in the area of Design/Projects for candidates who desires to select particular degree programmes. Kindly make sure that you are provided a minimum number of CP (credit points according to the European Credit Transfer System/ECTS) for the area of Design/Projects.
This means for degree programmes with

120 CP at least 45 CP
90 CP at least 34 CP
60 CP at least 23 CP.

DAAD scholarships cannot be used for participation in degree programmes that do not meet the scholarship requirements. Information on the quantitative distribution of CP can be found in the module outline of the degree programmes on the website of the respective university.
Other DAAD scholarship programmes are available for applicants from the field of History of Architecture or applicants with a scientific project.

DAAD scholarship in Germany is funded by the federal, state, and private enterprises, also a self-governing national agency of the institutions of higher education in Germany, representing 365 German higher education institutions (100 universities and technical universities, 162 general universities of applied sciences, and 52 colleges of music and art) [2003]. The DAAD itself does not offer programs of study or courses, but awards competitive, merit-based grants for use toward study and/or research in Germany at any of the accredited German institutions of higher education.

Interested candidates can complete the following for this study programme,

A Master’s degree/postgraduate degree leading to a final qualification
or
A complementary course that does not lead to a final qualification (not an undergraduate course) at a state or state-recognised German university of your choice.

NB: A Master’s degree programme already started in Germany cannot be funded.

If you are registered in a Master or postgraduate degree programme which encloses a study period abroad, funding for this period abroad is usually only possible under the following conditions:
The study visit is essential for the achievement of the scholarship objective, the holiday does not take place in the home country, and it is no longer than a quarter of the scholarship period. More extended periods cannot be funded, even partially.

Payments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover

Candidates will be allowed to improve on language skills in preparation for their stay in Germany, the DAAD offers the following benefits:

Payment of course fees for an online language course after receipt of the Scholarship Award Letter
if necessary: German language course (2, 4 or 6 months) before the start of the study visit in Germany; the DAAD decides whether to fund participation and for how long depending on German language skills and project. Participation in a German language course is compulsory if the language of instruction or working language is German at the German host institution.
Allowance for a privately chosen German language course during the scholarship period
Reimbursement of the fee for a TestDaF or DSH test, which you can take either in your home country after you have received your Scholarship Award Letter or in Germany during your funding period.

Please note that the DAAD does not cover tuition fees.

The scholarships are awarded for the duration of the standard period of study for the chosen study programme (up to a maximum of 24 months). Please state the entire period for which you wish to apply for funding in your application. After the first year of study, your academic achievements will be assessed in a further funding procedure. If this shows that you will successfully complete your programme within a reasonable period of time, the scholarship will continue as planned.

Fully Funded Clark Art Institute Fellowship is open to international students from all over the world who wish to undertake postdoctoral research at The Clark Art Institute USA for the 2023-2024 academic session.

Benefits of the Fully Funded Clark Art Institute Fellowship

The scholarship opportunity is awarded on a scale related to need and earnings, up to a maximum rate of $30,000 per semester. Fellows’ tax liability to the United States government will be considered in accordance with the tax regulations of the Internal Revenue Service on a case-by-case basis. Travel to and from the Clark will be reimbursed for the scholar and an accompanying family member.

Fellows are normally provided with an apartment in a recently refurbished and expanded late nineteenth-century house across the street from the Clark campus. Six apartments are available, ranging in size from one to two bedrooms, with additional common spaces. Each apartment is fully furnished and linked to the Clark’s computer network. Accommodation and services, except long-distance telephone, will be provided by the Clark. Pets are not permitted in the Scholars’ Residence. No smoking is permitted inside any Clark building.

Fellows are provided with a private office in the Manton Research Center, accessible from 8 am until 11 pm (early closing times on weekends). Computers and IT support will be provided upon request.

Applicants selected to be recommended for this scholarship are notified with their final APU application results.

Selected applicants complete and submit additional MEXT (SGU) application documents to APU.

The final scholarship award results are decided by MEXT.

Program Period:

Depends on the selected program.
Program Period: Four years for Undergraduate, two years for master’s, and three years for Ph.D.

Eligible Countries: The scholarships will be awarded to candidates from All world countries.

Must be Qatari or have a Qatari mother.
Must be 18 years or older and must complete their degree by the age of 29.
Secondary School Education Certificate corresponding to Ministry of Education & Higher Education grading scale with an average of 80% or higher.
IELTS for Qatari – Overall score of 5.5 or above, no less than 5 in each component.
ELTS for Qatari Mother – Overall score of 6.0 or above, not less than 5.5 in each component.
Pass the interview set by Qatar Airways.
Current letter of unconditional offer from a university approved by the Ministry of Education & Higher Education in Qatar.
Graduated High school students must complete mandatory National Service. However, the student that receives a confirmed offer letter from one of the universities listed in the Higher Education Emiri Scholarship programme will be exempt. Click here for the list.
