OBAGADAFFI:These banks are just turning out huge impairment figures. N35billion for ETI? Yet they are able to record N60billion profit as at Q3. Where are they getting the profit from then? Imagine if they are not carrying this heavy impairment burden. |
PETERiCHY:Whenever i see your post, i expect either of two issues: Oil Price or Naira Devaluation. Kilode ![]() |
Krisuba:It is o. Currently struggling @ 3.98. The Lazy Elephant @ 5.68. The CBN fine isn't doing these guys any good at all. Especially FBNH which has been trending southward lately. Only hope the Q3 figures will be impressive. Otherwise, ![]() |
Like Oando, like SkyeBank. Full Offer, No single Bid. It is well! |
Dozi05:The last time i did that, i sent them an email instruction to transfer the proceeds to a stated bank account. Mind you, they can only credit your bank account when the proceeds clear; that is, on the T+3 days (Transaction Date + 3 days). But if you can't wait till the T+3 days, they can still credit your bank account but you will be charged 2% for uncleared balance withdrawal. |

myjoy08:No wonder the crazy rally today. Thanks for this info sir. I was about pulling the trigger o . Let me close my bag then and wait. |
Pls house, anyone should kindly educate me on how the close price is usually determined. See the Price List of Zenith stock today as follows: Company Prev Close Open High Low Close Price ZENITHBANK 16.81 16.81 16.81 16.81 16.46 I've been wondering how the close price managed to be 16.46 when the Previous Close, Open, High and Low Prices were all 16.81. Is there something more to determining the Close Price? |
valacious:A DMB? Name that bank please. |
RichYoungRuler:Isn't it subject to WHT? If yes, then it is actually an effective return of 13.5%. Save for diversified income stream and of course a relatively more guaranteed return, I think the JIJO masters can deliver that in less than 2months. |
bigjay01:Was wondering too! Seeing red everywhere during the trading session only to later find the market closed up by +0.20%. |
When Morgan charges just 0.25%? Anyway sha. |
angelo82:Which bonus is this please? |
Excellent7:Why then should one take up the rights since I could use same money to get the stock at cheaper prices? Just wondering anyway. |
http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/shareholders-approve-flour-mills-subsidiaries-merger-with-holdco/220371/ Shareholders Approve Flour Mills’ Subsidiaries Merger with HoldCo "As a result, the company sought and obtained shareholders’ approval to raise its authorised share capital from its current N2 billion to N2.5billion and to thereafter, subject to regulatory approvals, issue additional shares by way of rights to existing shareholders on the basis of five new ordinary shares for every 12 ordinary shares held at N27.50 per share" How realistic is the pricing of the rights, considering that the shares currently trade at about N23? Does this indicate that a bull run is imminent on FMN stock to drive the price above N27.50? Otherwise, the rights issue may not be taken up. |
bigjay01:I guess @DONLEKAN meant Jump On , not Jump Out. |
DONLEKAN:Shouldn't this move improve its profitability and cash flow? Kindly educate me on why an investor should JO. |

FranklinRich:No be only you o! FLOURMILLS, CADBURY |
Justcul:Funny market! Thank God i was bold on my decision to get some UBA last Friday. At least since i couldn't share in the Dividend cake, i can manage the small change on price appreciation. |
manie:Thanks boss, keep up the good work. |
@Manie, do you consider the ongoing merger of some Flourmills subsidiaries a good prospect for their stock price? The price of their shares has been trending southward for a while now. Same goes for CADBURY. In view of your advice that learners like us should consider underpriced (as opposed to low priced) stocks, do you consider Flourmills and Cadbury undervalued at their current prices? Thanks for your guide. |
@ Manie, what a great work you've been doing here! Someone like me who is a rookie in Stock investing/trading has learnt a lot from your wealth of experience as detailed on this thread. Thank you. |
myjoy08: Bnsitl indeed! So hilarious! Thank you sir. |
Diamond Bank was on full bid for long today and closed in green among the top gainers. Anything in the pipeline for boys? |
Agbalowomeri:What is Bnsitl please? I've been seeing it too often. |
http://www.punchng.com/business/capital-market/shareholders-approve-merger-of-flour-mills-subsidiaries/ What is happening to Flour Mills? |
myjoy08:Please, can anyone speak to the release of the Guinness audited results? What likely effect would it have on its share price? I'm a newbie in stock investing o. I just jumped into some thousands of its units last week. That was after I saw this forum anyway. If I'd been to this forum before that decision I would have started with penny stocks. |
