Oh for the love of Christ shut up. If I could have my way, every single thread that has to do with biafra/ipod would end up in the racial/sectarian/secessionist board where they rightly belong. I'm stating the obvious here and you are talking trash with a smirk on your face like there's anything funny about this.

I eagerly look forward to a day when you guys create your own forum so you could let nairaland flourish without spreading your spiteful messages all over the place.

You people tag every single man who doesn't support this madness covertly sponsored by some sore losers within PDP an "igbo hater"- hell, you see Okorocha and other igbo APC stalwarts as people who hate igbos!! What kind of twisted orientation is that for crying our loud. Even in a nuclear family, there are disagreements. Following you people's logic, if perhaps your blood brother disagrees with you on issues regarding the family, then he "hates" the family!! Can you see how stewpid that soundshuh

You say I'm an igbo hater, yet I still patronise them. In fact, I forgot to mention a few other things I bought from igbos couple of days ago- besides those I listed, I also bought a phone and refilled my gas! How does that validate your claims that I hate igbos?? Remember, they aren't the only ones selling these things.

Get your country you might, but it will NEVER come through by the sort of hate campaign you people have adopted. You simply have no room to accommodate dissenting voices and that makes me shudder in fear over the kind of oppressive society biafra would be should it come to pass.

Truckpusher and Tonyebarcanista, much as we disagree on just about every issue, have the right to their opinion and to propagate the opinion of their people. You guys should learn to live with that the same way APC supporters like myself have come to live with their needless and useless attacks on the party I fervently support.

I don't hate igbos, but I find the activities of ipod/TAN members very irritating and provocative.

Good morning.
.

If u'll be honest here, u'll acknowledge that I called you out as an Igbo hater sometime last year and you and I had it quite hot. If not for my busy schedule, I could dig up your anti Igbo comments before now. So please Stop mixing it with IPOB, this only gives you the right platform to hide under 'I don't support Biafra' to do what you do best

Good morning to you too

Truckpusher:
I got your point quite alright but I can assure you that the response I'm getting from you would be different by the time those touts show up here and this is the crux of the matter.

We all are aware that the system is flawed and has only benefited only the from both side of the divide - The poverty rate in the North is higher compared to the South East and this is what I have been trying to point out that our leaders do not represent our interest ,are they that dumb not to see the injustice ? are the people of Northern Nigeria not seeing the level of injustice they get from their own leaders too?

The problem is that we've been so polarized on ethnicity, region and religion and this makes it impossible for any movement to see the light of the day, how much more a movement that has some ethnic coloration and tainted with hate speeches and an outright call for violence.

Our problems is not just controlling the resources but holding our leaders accountable else if we control the resources they will do worse by using the resources to buy us over and anything they say goes and that would be catastrophic for the very existence of this country and would lead to chaos.

We should be protesting for good Governance ,fair representation by elected officials and fiscal federalism or regionalism which will encourage growth and reduce our over-dependency on oil and gas generated revenue which is almost becoming useless and more of a burden in a 21 st century economy.
On the first bold I agree with you. Though BH is highly regrettable, but when they started their own, how many northerner governors did you see calling for them to be killed? How many elders rebuked them? How many ethnic groups dissociated from them?
Now Biafrans are PEACEFULLY protesting an illegal detention of their leader, guess the first people to dissociate themselves and call for them to be killed? Southerners!
Tomorrow, if they illegally detain your loved one(s) you want Rose2014 to support you or at least keep quiet. Guess what? I'll be the first to call for the execution of that person(s)
Not because I don't know what is right, but just to get back
(Don't mind me, I've never supported bloodshed)

On the second bold
Did you start a protest and we didn't join you? You guys just left the real enemies and started fighting the wrong people. Do u really think if you start such protest that Igbos will be against it? At worst, my Igbo brothers will be going to their shops for daily bread.

What am I saying? All these attacks at people who are at least speaking up is very unnecessary. If at the end, Nigeria negotiates with Biafrans and restructure or grant resource control, your region will still be the greatest beneficiary

Btw I think these are my longest posts on nl cheesy
If u were closer, I would've used the blackboard n chalk to explain this better cheesy

From the highlighted you can now see that resource control without the necessary tools in place might not work after all.
Nigeria needs restructuring and not just about resource control.
Look at the bigger picture.......
Restructuring, resource control, Biafra, Nigerdelta, oduduwa etc
Something needs to be changed. What we have now is not working at all

When I look at Nigeria, nothing really to be proud of. Worse of all, there's no hope of things getting any better. And people seem very comfortable with the whole arrangement.
It's sad

Honestly, your guy needs to just ignore these things. He's made himself clear on several occasions in previous threads so I see no need for this. I feel sometimes he just can't resist the urge to write so he winds up repeating himself.

With every such threads he creates, a barrage of insults from these ignoramuses, some of whom might be half his age, is all he gets. How much more can he endure??

Most of those guys simply have their minds totally screwed beyond salvation- it is like terrorists that have been radicalised. A tunnel vision of the world around them is all that guides their thought processes.

It used to be simply politics (APC against PDP) until they brought the full weight of this madness to Nairaland.

Some of the most informed political commentators of the forum have become near inactive due to these biafra/Ipod nonsense- 24hours a day, the politics board is being bombarded with useless threads from these jobless touts. So so unfortunate.

Ps: What are you doing up at this time of day??
Omenka has seen opportunity to start dancing all over another Igbo thread grin

I honestly do not understand where you guys got this idea laced with falsehood that we hate Igbos and all that talk when our position was made very clear and simple.
We do not hate you guys ,we are simply saying that our territorial integrity must be respected else no deal and that isn't hatred for crying out loud.
The manner in which these IPOB guys are shouting down one anyone who has a different view about their mentality, approach and statements that are highly treasonable is a recipe for disaster if Biafra comes to fruition. There is a thin red line that separates fanaticism from patriotism and simple ethnocentrism and this is what we need to watch out for lest we should be seen as the troublemakers in the oppressive Nigerian state where it is crystal clear that the system isn't favorable to a certain region where the ideology is different from the architect and connivers of this unity of convenience.

You all can continuously call him names but the man simply told you about an established fact and the mindset of the average minority groups on the streets of Warri,Port Harcourt,Yenegoa,Calabar,Asaba,Ahoada ,Omoku,Bonny, Eket and Uyo, but if you chose to ignore these people and their own side of the story and as well deceive yourselves, then it would become a case of a man who saw an excrete in the morning on a particular road only to walk through the same road in night and got greeted by foul smell yet he complains about his ordeal.

We do not hate the Igbos ,we will never hate them and we never hated them - We are only asking to be respected, just the way you are asking the Nigerian state to respect you.
I haven't really attacked any of you before cos first I respect him as a person and I respect his opinion. I was referring to some of the screenshots from his old moniker with very anti Igbo comments. I could care less about his view on Biafra if it wasn't established that he's bn anti Igbo since 2000AD. Remember he even said it, that his ethnicity first, before party. If that is true for me, then I should have a problem with someone that is anti-Igbo(my ethnicity). But when I do that, u call me emotional?

Now I may not be a member of IPOB but I know that something is wrong with the Nigerian system(just like you know)
Biafra aside, If you or Barcanista started a movement calling for resource control for example, I'll still be doing the same thing I'm doing that makes me appear like an IPOB member. Infact if u're pushing for truckpusher's family to become a country of it's own, I'll still support you. Not because I'm going to benefit from truckpusher republic, but because I'm happy that someone is reacting to the injustice going on. Infact as you're protesting for your republic, I'm also on the street protesting my own republic(independent of your own). Reason being that the more the chaos, the merrier (don't mind me I like trouble small cheesy)
When I'm making noise here and you're making noise there about something else(without each one playing down the other). Guess what? The leaders will be forced to call for a common ground.
It's not a time for me to start threads like 'I'm not in support of truckpusher republic' it's not
We have a common enemy and that enemy is taking advantage of our disunity.

Like I said, we don't have to fight the same cause the same way, but both can exist without me playing yours down. The main aim is achieving equity for all

I hope u understand what I mean. English is usually not my favorite way of presenting my views.
Figures, charts and graphs are usually my strongest points. No vex

Jonathan blanked this guy and he talked and talked and even said a lot of words that would have earned him a place and sealed his fate in national prison yet Jonathan left him alone until Buhari went ahead to arrest him thereby creating this cult-like follower-ship that seem to be growing everyday in the South East and other neighboring states.

He should understand that at a time when a country is undergoing serious economic challenges in the face of dwindling fortune on all fronts ,these rebel groups, irredentists, criminal enterprises and organized crime syndicate are likely to prop up old wounds which would see the gullible, disappointed and economically battered people become susceptible and begin to identify with such movements after all an idle mind is the devil's workshop.

If these youths had/has something to keep them busy and something to keep them constantly on their toes and at the same time a hope for a better future, do you think they would be used by anyone to create mayhem thereby destroying the already downed economic activities?

This is what you get when the structure on which a country was built is so faulty that it encourages laziness, leeching, backwardness which in turn will lead to abysmal growth thereby creating a ready made culture and array of touts and thugs to be used as canon fodder. These people can be found across all regions of this country and the last thing any wise leader will do now is to give them any form of credence as that might just encourage other groups to come up.

When they decided to pay militants instead of channeling development to the very societies and communities where these militants sprang up from, what we are witnessing today has become counterproductive ? The number of youths bearing illegal arms in the Niger Delta right now has tripled and still counting and you can't kill your way through and the politicians also have need for them thereby making money available to them - So it becomes a case of if I can have a gun kill some few folks and bang my name is on everyone's lips and I get paid why should I work hard to earn a living? .I don't know why people can't just sit down and learn from past histories instead of repeating the same mistake allover again.

Buhari should release that man and continue dragging him to court till his time is up - We can't survive another civil war without destroying whatever gain we've made so far.
This post is Nigeria problem/solution well summarized especially the bold. If a group of people protest marginalization, u bribe their leaders and leave the problem cheesy
If you Truckpusher start pushing for resource control seriously now, they'll bribe u and won't implement what u're fighting for, then Ugomba will start his own cheesy, if they bribe Ugomba, Dearpreye will start his own cheesy. Why not address the problem from the root and nip it once and for all? Why is this resource control ish so difficult for Nigeria to implement? Even GEJ of all people couldn't get it done.smh

Ok.

Pls visit ur own mental institute first
Thanks Chuna for that screenshot. Apparently I'm too new to have witnessed his anti Igbo era

Peppyluv02 sometime last year said the guy is a bigot but I never knew to what degree.
I've been observing his comments and I must say It's very scary reading some of the old and recent anti Igbo comments.
The first time I read his comment on Kanu, I couldn't stop smh cos I thought the comment was uncalled for. But now I've seen why. If u're pretending to love someone u hate, it won't be long before you show your true self. Obviously the guy has a deep hatred for Igbos but again that's his opinion and he's entitled to it.
We all just have to be careful. That's all

However you look at it, the so called nigerdelta abi SS has a good chance at cashing into the Biafra struggle now to negotiate what they want. I believe the guy is smart enough to know that but his hatred for Igbos wont let him see beyond his nose.
I saw a post where Hopeathand was bragging how they cashed in on IPOB protest to protest a driver that was shot. But the same guy doesn't know he could do the same to get (at the minimum)the so called resource control.

Then again, their influence doesn't go beyond nairaland. Mtchew

Aufbauh:
I have stopped to take these so called biafra agitators serious when i had a face to face encounter with them at Onitsha - Asaba expressway during the weekend as i was shuttling the route from lagos to Benue.

The faces i saw there was so terrible and horrible, there and then i understand the reasons for their protest are not far from hunger, lack of opportunities, hopelessness and learned helplessness, which is to me is not peculiar with the Igbos.
This agitation is not even popular among the Igbos as the IPOB boys will make to believe. It is a course that is mostly championed by the jobless & uninformed indigenous youth.
You called them hungry and jobless etc
Let's assume they're hungry and jobless, whose job is it to provide employment for the citizens. So either way you look at it, the govt has failed them woefully.Biafra or any protest whatsover is usually championed by the oppressed.

While our leaders jump out of Nigeria for any slightest headache, Biafra is for that woman in labour that has no access even to a quack nurse in the village

While our leaders are laundering money to and fro Nigeria, Biafra is for that family that cannot afford 3 square meals a day

While the children of our leaders are in the best schools abroad, Biafra is for that family that have no access to ordinary clean drinking water
Of course Biafra seeks to address the plight the poor & the oppressed I would've bn surprised if it were otherwise.
Or do u want the likes of Joe Igbokwe and Okorocha to be the ones protesting?

Thanks for all the insults on the hungry(as you called them). On their behalf, I return all the adjectives u used back to u and yours

Don't bother quoting me cos I won't reply.
So bye

I have been watching the events unfold across Southeast and some parts of South-South but one striking thing noticeable has been the failure to build a formidable movement in Imo State. Why has the Biafran struggle been so sketchy and casual in Igbo heartland?

I don't think it is because of military or Police presence but because of what I have always written on Nairaland often debunked by fellow Igbos. Imo State suffered the most neglect in history under Jonathan's administration and we believe that we should support the FG to gain back what we lost in the past 4 years. All Buhari needs to be the darling of Igbo heartland is to complete the Umuapu-Elele Road and rehabilitate the Arondizuogu section of Nnewi-Okigwe Road.
