Neutralobserver:Good observation that is broadly accurate. |
funkekemi:You are a LIAR from HELL. That girl is just an ordinary Umuahia babe posting her travels. She's not any ''govt agent''. You'll now go and video your dirty village road and claim it is the expressway to spread your anti-Nigerian hate. |
Igbochief001:What rubbish is this one saying? Government controls which price and transmission? If you want to learn how to enter Solar business, ask, and stop typing rubbish. You can partner with a manufacturer and sell solar panels, inverters, batteries at a mark-up, or you can set up as an installer of panels, or with good capital, you can go into solar product manufacturing. Buhari and the govt are not stopping you from investing in solar or renewable energy. |
funkekemi:Save your antiquated camera. This is VIDEO straight from an Umuahia YouTuber! UMUAHIA TO ABA ROAD TRIP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-G7PBv_abY |
nedu666:Power generation is not the issue. Nigeria has generating capacity of 12,000 megawatts. What is keeping it from doing so is distribution infrastructure. Nigeria is building up distribution infrastructure rapidly, with the Siemens deal (which you've probably never heard of) set to herald a real transformation in our distribution architecture. |
lilvicky68:You should travel around the country more. You can't know how much infrastructure is being built by sitting in one place. For the first time in decades, you can now travel by expressway from Umuahia to Aba to Okigwe to Onitsha to Port Harcourt without experiencing bad roads. Smooth as silk. I'm telling you this from very recent experience. |
lilvicky68:Stop lumping all govts together. The APC federal govt has been investing heavily in infrastructure, unlike the previous PDP administration. |
lilvicky68:That Siemens deal to improve transmission infrastructure is ongoing, and will transform the power situation for the better. |
lilvicky68:Go into Solar. This is an opportunity for folks to enter alternative, renewable energy. You will make billions. This is how we should tackle our issues. Stop seeing everything as only fixable by the government. WE can intervene to improve circumstances. |
According to the World Bank, ''85 million Nigerians don’t have access to grid electricity. This represents 43% percent of the country’s population.'' https://www.worldbank.org/en/news/press-release/2021/02/05/nigeria-to-improve-electricity-access-and-services-to-citizens Mathematically this means that Nigeria supplies electricity to 210 million - 85 million people. = 125 million people. That is more than TWICE the number of people supplied by any other African country. It is nearly 5 times the entire population of Ghana. By sheer number of people supplied, Nigeria leads Africa by a mile. A large percentage of the 85 million without access are remote, rural northern communities, who need more inclusion in power expansion projects. But for now, NIGERIA supplies electricity power to MORE PEOPLE than any other country in Africa. |
nlreserve:Oh, so you don't know the number of deaths in Nigeria, yet you are proclaiming it to be the worst in the universe? You observed all those millions of killings from your stinking bedroom or kitchen? Useless wastrel. Don't find something useful to do with your life. |
nlreserve:40,000 Americans are killed by gun violence each year. That is 500 times the number killed by Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria. Another 70,000 Americans die from opioid overdose, in a country overtaken by drugs and gangs. But Americans don't hate themselves and their country the way you hate yourself and your country. Because, unlike them, you are blinded by tribalist hate. You are a sick person. Learn from them. |
I will defend Nigeria inside and outside of Nigeria, anytime any day. Africa's greatest republic. |
Winnerforever:What is it about you IPOB lunatics and 'race'? You have this disdain for the ''black race'' of which YOU are part and parcel. It's called self-hatred and racial inferiority complex. It's a mental sickness. You're not even smart enough to grasp that by labelling your race inferior, you are labelling YOURSELF inferior. You should read Malcolm X, if you've even heard of him. Or Dr. Martin Luther King Jnr. Or Nkrumah. Or Zik of Africa. Or Julius Nyerere. Or Marcus Garvey. You have a lot to learn from the above luminaries, you bush, colonised dunderheads ashamed of your skin colour. . . Suggested reading: https://pictures.abebooks.com/isbn/9781440463501-uk.jpg |
NgeneUkwenu:Thank you very much. I knew it had to be a mistake by the British. How dare they approve terrorism and secessionism in Nigeria? |
nedu666:You don't speak for Igbos. Speak for yourself. I bet those Igbo businessmen in Alaba and Sabon Gari see things very differently, not to mention heavyweights like INNOSON, Air Peace, Ibeto Cement, and the many Igbo manufacturers who need access to the Nigerian market to thrive. By the way why will there b a nigerian embassy in enugu after break upThere might be. If Nigeria feels enough pity for your landlocked banana republic led by IPOB thugs. |
Igbochief001:By the time Nigeria deports millions of you back to the East, unemployment will shoot up in your region, and crime, robbery, rape, etc will rise exponentially. There would be no Fulanis to blame. |
after4:Did Ecowas passport stop the Ghanaian govt from imposing 1 million dollar per Igbo trader charge, before Buhari came to your rescue? What makes you think Nigeria will allow you to continue profiting freely in Nigeria with some stupid Ecowas passport? Don't kid yourself. If you're out, YOU WOULD BE OUT. It will NOT be business as usual. No more luxury bus trips from Onitsha or Aba to Lagos on business and pleasure. Igbos would be thrown out of Lagos and other Nigerian cities, and deported en masse to the East. No more access to Abuja, unless you crawl to the Nigerian embassy in Enugu first, to apply for a visa. ONCE YOU CROSS THAT NIGER BRIDGE, YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW YOUR VISA to Nigerian border guards. Even with your visa, you will still pay heavy egunje on top to pass through. Before you mention 'Ecowas', one of them has given you a dirty slap. THAT is what 'break-up' means. It's like a giant deciding to become an ant. |
nedu666:Keep deceiving yourself with that garbage. There are MILLIONS of Igbos in northern Nigeria. ''The Igbos, who are predominantly Christian, are said to be the most widely dispersed ethnic group in Nigeria. Millions live in the Muslim-majority northern states. Many own businesses like hotels, internet cafes, schools, mechanic shops and restaurants. "It is only the Igbos you can find in any nook and cranny all over Nigeria. We are the true Nigerians," Obilome said.'' https://www.voanews.com/africa/igbos-defy-call-leave-northern-nigeria By pretending they don't exist, you're showing that you don't really care what happens to them 'post-secession'. |
nedu666:The ENTIRE constitution of the UK is unwritten. There is no big deal about an unwritten Gentleman's Agreement, insofar as all stakeholders adhere to it. No party or region has ever tried to go against that convention of power rotation in Nigeria. |
nedu666:Staying in the north does not mean you counted the population of Igbos there. Did they line up for you at your front door? |
nedu666:There is an UNWRITTEN LAW OF POWER ROTATION FROM NORTH TO SOUTH. This law has been in place since 1999, and nothing can change it. Every Nigerian politician understands and respects this law. The next president of Nigeria will DEFINITELY be a southerner. In fact both major parties will present southern candidates. |
Parachoko:Thanks. ![]() |
Biafranboys:Which international law? Where was international law when Ghana imposed 1 million dollars per Igbo trader in Ghana, following which the Igbo traders went on YouTube and NTA to beg the 'hated' Fulani president to intervene, which he did, leading to a reversal of that policy? That is the power of Nigeria, the Giant of Africa. When you split up into little new 'South Sudans', you will not have that kind of power and influence. Your president will have trouble gaining audience with the Ghanaian leader, never mind getting him to actually reverse or change his policy. |
Biafranboys:We'll believe you when we see millions of your Igbo brothers vote with their feet and return to the East from those northern places. Funny how the group that can't seem to live without travelling to other lands of Nigeria to settle, are the ones calling loudest for secession. How una go chop when dem drive una finish from Naija? Even to hit Lagos, you go go embassy go beg visa. See suffa. |
nlreserve:Amotekun is not controlled by any Fulani shit. Even Afenifere called it the forerunner to a state police. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/03/amotekun-a-forerunner-to-state-police-afenifere/ What we will get eventually is a restructured Nigeria where more power is devolved to the regions or states. That is the right way to go, not 'break up'. The Fulani trespassing issue is a WEST AFRICAN PHENOMENON, not just Nigerian, and it is caused by rising desertification of the Sahel (climate change) causing nomadic herdsmen to head ever southwards for pasture. A collaborative effort by all and sundry is required, to handle the issue. |
nlreserve:Oh, so what was Amotekun and EbubeAgu for, then? BTW, stop bringing election into this because Nigerian election is always rigged on arrival. Now that fulanis are in charge of everything, what do you think would happen? 2023 is even far though. You cannot rig yourself to the Nigerian presIdency today. It is IMPOSSIBLE. Secondly, the parties will not field a Fulani candidate, in their own electoral interests, so the issue of rigging does not even arise at all. |
nlreserve:Why are you so blind that you can't see how all this is at most the actions of an overzealous pro-Fulani administration, easily changeable in a year and half via elections? You think Fulani will still be in charge even after Buhari is voted out? How? Are they magicians? What are you saying, dude? |
limeta:If people there want Sharia, why is that your problem? It's like them saying they don't like your christianity. Why is your own superior to theirs? Op said nothing about living with people with born to rule mentalityWhat imaginary rubbish is that? Why did your imaginary ''born to rule mentality'' not prevent Jonathan from rising to presidential power? Is he Fulani? Is Obasanjo Fulani? Rubbish. sometimes is best to be on your own to find your self. There is a LOT to show for those 60 years. Back then a footpath led to your village, not a road, and you and all around you would have been illiterate, malnourished village peasants. So count your blessings. |
KingOKON:The Fulani will need to do a lot of PR work to regain favour in the public consciousness. No party will want to present a Fulani candidate for presidential elections for the foreseeable future. They will be seen as 'unelectable'. The west, without whom this Fulani president could not have won, will need at least a decade to reconsider allegiance to a Fulani candidate. We underestimate the power of our democracy. |
nlreserve:Stop talking rubbish. Which election was rigged? The Buhari election was generally ok, and was certified by international observers. The entire nation was fed up of Jonathan. The days of rigging elections in Nigeria are generally over. The judiciary has far more independence now to arbitrate disputes. It's very hard to get away with rigging today, most especially in presidential elections. And I'm telling you this as someone who observed Nigerian elections from the Shagari era till date. You have no idea what election rigging is. |
thebosstrevor1:Thank you jare. I just tire for these people. They want to go from being Nigeria to being Sierra Leone. Who listens when Sierra Leone talks? Who can even hear when they talk? |
