CareerRe: Airtel Did Not Sack Workers. Their Side Of The Story ! by Rotwale: 9:18pm On Oct 08, 2011
Its so sad that some people disgracefully come to the public place armed with deceitful ''facts'' to dissuade the minds of others.
for sholatech , your conclusions were from the most uninformed point of view.
For switch47 and co, you made some facts about outsourcing but you repeatedly failed to see what airtel has done wrong. All I see in your argument is mere side-taking. For ur information, responsible companies are proactive to the effects of the actions and inactions of outsourcing arrangements on their operations. Airtel shd have engaged spanco and co before the story got messy. Although the contract employees are not working for Airtel, mind you, they work with Airtel. So their actions affect airtel's operations.

Customer dissatisfaction is one of the greatest risk with Telco companies due to the resultant effect of churn. Responsible telcos dont fold their arms on issues like this, especially because it affect their bottomline.

I have worked with a multinational that almost found itself in similar situation. The management of the company simply explored one of the relief clauses in the contractual agreements and the issue was laid to rest. It never got out of the walls of the company.

It is only a fool that goes to sleep, when the roof of his house is on fire.
PoliticsRe: Breaking News: Entire NASS Election Postponed Till Monday April 4 - Jega by Rotwale: 8:06pm On Apr 02, 2011
I only hope the postponement will address the issue of missing names of eligible voters, Was trying to be accredited today but cldnt find my names & dt of my wife's,

A whole lot of others cldnt find theirs too, The INEC officials were so clueless,
I hope this wouldn't eventually degenerate to violence,
I hope INEC get this right for all,

TravelRe: Do You Ever Think Of Moving Back To Nigeria by Rotwale: 4:32pm On Dec 01, 2010
I have learnt in life that a man only becomes what he thinks of himself. if you think life's going to be difficult coming home, so will it be.

I like the spirit of Okija_Juju - he seemed like he's counted his cost and knows why he want to come home. Same goes to the poster, if you really want to return home, take a stand on that and get yourself to MMA as soon as you are ready to face it. You must be ready to face those difficulties identified by other posters. You must be prepared in case you fail in your alternate plans. You dont fear failure, you face it - because it may come your way (it's the bitter truth).

I'll add that you don't get back to Naija because the respondents to this thread have successfully given you a reason(s) to come home - you may live to regret it, too bad.

Rather take a firm decision on why you want to come home and be ready to face the worst that could happen to you as a result of your decision.

All the best

@Inspired_m,

I cruise a very clean Highlander but going through this pictures I discovered the ''oyinbos'' had this particular one in mind while they were defining ''clean'' in the Oxford Advance Learner dictionary. Quality don't come cheap! Highlander is my latest discovery, I call it ''peace of mind''
The owner is going to love and enjoy it,

Nicely inspired,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Total Interview In Port-harcourt by Rotwale: 7:19am On Aug 11, 2010
@i4all
I wrote mine 2 weeks ago. If we were to go by what they said while we were about to write the test, the interview should be like a presentation to a panel. I'll advise you keep an open mind as the topic could be impromptu. You could still investigate further if you need moe clarification. And when exactly did you write the test (i mean the date)?

All the best

Oga Mi. I'm lost for words by your appellations, extollations and lovely words.

Thanks for having the utmost faith in me even though we did'nt strike our deal. My belief is even if you dont strike a deal now, you will strike it sometime. I thank you so much for giving me the opportunity for considering my services and showcasing what I have to offer.

Also just struck a deal with one of your colleagues for a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero 4x4.

Thanks a million for your future custom and looking forward to helping your wife get her Lamboghini Gallardo. wink wink
I was initially scared when I read ur last line on getting my wife a Lamboghini Gallardo, but out of faith, I screamed Amen! However, I made sure my wife didnt see that part,
Congrats on ur deal. U know, a golden fish has no hiding place, More of such will come ur way by God's grace alone,

Okhai, Received the dock reciept and bill of sale by email. I chose you in my mind from the first time I spoke to you, your great personality and confidence played a big role in sealing this deal, a young man with so much flair, ambition and charisma. I trust you will do a good job in seeing this all the way through

@ Consensus, i want to congratulate u in advance and reaffirm that you are in a very safe hands, Okhai is one gentle man I have seen that is dead passionate about what he does. He knows his onions and he won't give you 'sh*t'(permit my lang). I spoke with him a couple of times on a deal and I'd never, at any point, had an iota of doubt in mine mind about him, He is one of those few (like inspired_m) that has given us hope that you cld seal a transaction online with someone u barely know, and still got to sleep.

German007, nice one! I had to drop a line on ur thread to appreciate ur gentlemanliness (if there is a word like that) even though we couldnt seal our last deal, I ve however told my wife a secret - that you are going to help us get her car,

I trust you are going places beyond ur imagination.

Keep on keeping on!!!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: KPMG Entry-Level Salary by Rotwale: 8:48pm On Jun 22, 2010
@ poster, ur friend being confused is synonymous to setting the cart before the horse. i think he shd get the offer letter from KPMG and compare the package with what he is currently earning. no employer wld force him to accept an offer on the spot,

there is no basis for the confusion.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Mtn Staffs Is This True. by Rotwale: 8:47pm On Jun 18, 2010
It would be so unfair if we draw conclusions without having our facts right. Swordfish & femol sounded so fair in their judgment. Concluding dt MTN is dt discriminating is not right. I can tell you there are contract staff in MTN dt earn 'enviable' salaries. it is a function of the position applied for and d work experience of d applicant. the only limiting factor is d fact dt they cannot enjoy d 'goodies' full staff are enjoying.

It is so unfortunate we found ourselves in a country where 'contract' staffing is legal and almost becoming the order of the day unlike what is obtainable elsewhere. However, the onus rest on any prospective applicant to critically consider whatever offer any prospective employer is offering.
@ poster, your cousin should have known the type of employment he or she is taking up at the selection stage and it is expected that he/she would have taken a decision to accept or not. I found myself in a somewhat similar situation years back when I was earning some ridiculous salary. What i did then was dt i decided on an exit strategy right from day 1 while i learnt as much as i could on the job. Glory to God cos today, i'm happy for it. I can bet ur cousin wld be happy for it if he/she cld maximise the potential knowledge on the job and importantly the opportunities that abound in MTN for contract staff. There is this friend of mine who was a contract staff in MTN few years back. today, d guy is not only a full staff; he is really doing well and he is happier

Whatever d case is, i think ur cousin still have a good chance to grow (it may not be in MTN though).

Personally, i have dealt with unbelievably honest ppl on NL! I would say the long and short of this whole thing is that you ensure you get to know whoever you are dealing with, be it on NL or elsewhere,

From my experience, there are great guys on this forum (German007, lomax, inspred_m & a host of others). However, without being told, there are bad eggs on this forum like every other fora. So its not just a NL thing.

@ Otinkpu, i was just wondering why you are so passionate in your defence! I sense you have something up ur sleeves.
You have talked about speaking good grammar(my foot!) but you forgot to tell the house that 'English lang' was ur mother' tougue.
You, at a point sounded like you got ur information through ur contacts; at some other points, you sounded like u are an insider.

I think you should check ur post all over, u sound technically confused.

I like ur 'grammar', were u ever an activist? U know what i mean? Aluta continua, and all that.

Pls, Abeg, Jo jare. The guys on this forum dont wear 'diapers'. We know who you are! You try no be small my guy!!!

Unless you come back to this thread to publicly apologise, the woes and evils in your life will forever get worse.

Music/RadioRe: Da Grin Is Dead! by Rotwale: 1:26pm On Apr 24, 2010
Some of his lyrics reminds me of the penury life we lived years back! Today, those lyrics were like a reminder to appreciate God for the seemingly unbelievable transformation in our lives! I am happy for today! I only wish Da Grin could be happier!!!
This is so painful I fruitlessly tried to fight back tears,  He is some good guy, even if he takes 'Sheppe and Poli'.

I trust he has tasted some good life before he passed on. He deserved to be happier, but only God knows best.

One wld wonder where gestapo's interest lies. You dont have to use foul language on Kunle-A whether his act was right or wrong.

Leave it all to the seller (and i think he sounded grateful and plain enough). Pls save the anger/displeasure for another day. Lets all respect ourselves.

Sincerely, if the moderator had to do his job, your access shd be restricted to 'read-only' because refering to someone as 'fool, dumb' and all is so so disrespectful, please!!!
