It happens mostly to those from very poor homes. But if you look at it, majority us northerners are poor and not educated... One thing I can say for sure is, it happens in rich homes also. I have been to a place where once the girl is able to cook, she is ready for marrriage. If you ask them, they will give you excuses like" If you let her come off age before giving her out, she will be corrupted"
