K01 with new single “Akanda Enia Meji” ft Dagrin

Born Bisiga Michael Kayode Smith, K01 “Oba Abinibi” is an Afrohiphop artiste from Ogun State. K01 is a proficient & multitalented music producer, voice trainer & developer and he plays instruments like the keyboard, piano, drums, conga & guitar.

K01 started his music career 17 years ago and though it seems he has been at it for over a decade, this is our first hearing about him.

His early influence comes from the church where he started under the guidance of the choir leader & a pianist called Bro.Ayo ever since the age of 12 years. In 1998, he switched from highlife to hiphop music.

K01 created his 1st music group named SLK Boiz which grew to have several fans across Lagos university campuses. Like most groups, they split up and k01 went on to pursue his his career as a solo artiste.

A graduate of Federal College of Education, Akoka and University of Ado Ekiti. His album titled “Abinibility” will be dropping this year and he has worked with the likes of Dagrin, Stidman, T.Frizzle, Lyna, Adio Elekunmefa, Bongochaka, Lightmoses, Zaint Flavour et al. Currently not under any record label/marketer, he hopes to get this rectified prior to releasing his album.

A really nice track and as always the late Dagrin adds his unique touch to this nice Yoruba song!

Flyz is the innovative Artist we’ve all grown to love he’s love for music is shown on each track he touches, Making Love is off his mixtape #underdog, which is a fusion of techno house music and naija flavour.

Asemota Ize-Iyamu aka Kross is a native of Edo State but lived in Lagos most of his life. He is currently studying Information Science in the University Of Pretoria, South Africa. His main musically influence is Lil Wayne but also looks up to Drake, Kanye West, MI, Jay-Z and J. Cole.

The 19 year old rapper has garnered quite a lot of fans without a label, videos or a project out. Finally, his much anticipated mixtape, ‘Rough Sketch‘ released on Nigeria’s Independence Day (01.10.11) contains 16 tracks. It features production and guest appearances from upcoming musicians but majority of the tracks were solely perfomed by Kross.

And the mixtape is very Diverse and shows Kross having a different delivery
and approach to all the songs.

Dezign – Fresh Guys ft Uti Nwachukwu

Nigeria’s newest record label MVP Entertainment releases the new single from DEZIGN, a Nigerian hip hop/R n B singer titled “FRESH GUYZ.” The new single features Big Brother Africa winner UTI and is produced by award winning producer Samklef.

MVP Entertainment is owned by Nollywood actor Michael Okon, his partner Ochuko Derek Omiragwa who also promotes concerts and Taghogho Emefeke a software developer with a flair for music. The trio have an extensive CV in entertainment and discovering Dezign has been gratification for their hard work in the industry.

As for Dezign, working with Uti was a very interesting experience as he confesses that he was “very impressed with the amount of talent Uti displayed”. Dezign is also a songwriter and has been an artist/composer for almost a decade. This song was produced by Samklef.

Dezign is currently working on his album to be released in 2012, however, he is expected to release a second single later this year.
