Medview Airline on Sunday apologised to its passengers over the delay in arrival of some of their baggage from London to Lagos. The airline issued the apology in a statement signed by its media consultant, Mr Oyibhota Obuke and obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. The statement said the airline had dispatched a special flight to London on Saturday to airlift the left over baggage. It said unfortunately, the aircraft returned without the affected baggage following the inability of Gatwick Airport authorities to screen them. “Gatwick Airport had on arrival of the aircraft said it had no capacity to screen the baggage as only a handful of its workforce was on duty because of holiday. “The airline regrets the inconveniences caused the affected passengers whose left over baggage are still in London by this unhealthy development. “We thought by Sunday we would have resolved the left over baggage issue if not for Gatwick Airport authorities,” the statement quoted the airline’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Lookman Animashaun as saying. It said another flight would leave for London on Monday to bring back home the left over baggage, and appealed to the affected passengers for their understanding. London passengers of a Nigerian flag carrier, Med-View Airlines, created a scene at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos on Thursday in protest over their “missing” luggage. The passengers, boarded Med-View aircraft from London to Lagos, only to arrive Tuesday morning without their valuables. After two days of waiting in vain, the passengers resorted to open confrontation with airline officials, almost leading to the breakdown of law and order at the airport, but for the efforts of law enforcement agencies. Reacting to the face off, Med-View said the development was due to “operational issues” on the side of the United Kingdom’s airport authority and delays in the screening of luggage, assuring that with fresh moves made would yield results Source: http://www.ajayiwrites.com/2016/12/medview-airline-apologises-to-passengers.html

Too many crashes, God have mercy ooo, let mercy prevail |
In the words of Madam PEJ 'Chai... There is God o'. Whatever warnings they may send out, we can't our country, we have no where to go, we are the sons and daughters of this country, either good or bad, we stay and fight this insurgent called Boko Haram. We have come this far. |
I agree with the OP. The older ladies are more matured and understand what you are going through, no time for recharge cards, you don't call me etc, but the other side of it is that they can be demanding at times, as in they tend to be more controlling and get emotional at times, apart that, they are just cool folks to be with. |
Break up sex Truly, Life is a teacher, the more we live, the more learn. I am really interested in this please. |
My advice to her (though I like her and what she does) is that she reconsider marriage again, age is really telling on her, and one thing about fame is that it is just for a while, one moment you are famous, the other moment no one remembers you again, Aunty Funky, go and marry, enough of this advert abeg. |
ceejayluv: Lobbying doesn't guarantee employment. You don't expect your senior relative to grovel and appease some asshole on your behalf. Providing info on recruitment opportunities in a firm can be helpful enough. You are right!!! But what I meant is that relatives working there ought to have an upper edge above others, take for example you work in a university and your child is seeking an admission into the university you work, even though you work as a cleaner, won't you lobby your way to make sure your child gets admitted by meeting some lecturers you know that can help and assist in the admission process, if it can work in this instance, why can't it work in vacancies issues? That is my take, I agree with what you raise above anyway. |
In the words of Chinua Achebe, 'There was a country'. I know one day, we all will have peace in this nation, but when? I just can't say. God, heal our land. |
I agree with the OP, but my main take is that no matter what, that relative should at least lobby on his/her behalf, at all at all na him bad, which I understand the difficulties it entails, but at all show some concern that you are willing to help, if He/She is your son or daughter, wont you help or break protocols? |
I will still go for Aliexpress, though dhgate is good, but people are more used to Aliexpress and as my people talk am, better the devil you know than the angel you don't, so for me, Aliexpress |
I just watched the video, and I can say that its a crap... The expectation is much higher than what they give, all I saw was just noise and running around, though the video was okay in terms of quality, crisp etc, but the concept to me was too poor, my own opinion anyway. DoroCappy DoroNonsense |
