The way all these slay mamas were abusing the man for not recommending divorce over every act of cheating by the hubby was scary! What were they expecting? In traditional igbo society that Edochie defends vigorously, a woman divorcing her husband because of cheating is/was almost unheard of! It's the fact, deal with it! Heck! My Grand father married 3 wives! How can you be discussing cheating and loyalty under such 'convulated' marital environment!? Folks want to import western naunces here. Your hubby is seen with a woman, then run fiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaam to get a divorce! Essentially, irrespective of how family oriented and hardworking your hubby is, everything is nothing once he cheats! What are you even saying then in that case the capital should be Orlu or Owerri, in Imo state, becuase PH and Yenegoa is also situated in the edge, same as Uyo or Calabar, you failed to understand that it was Nsukka that fell, but the university of Nigeria Nnsukka was intact and still provided the research environment for the weapons, Enugu city was the capital not Enugu state, and Enugu was the capital of Eastern Region which was not at all a border town as the East was part of Nigeria, what you failed to understand is that no one planned for Biafra it was just a bargaining strategy that went out of hand

Enugu is too close to hostile neighbors.. This is too obvious to anybody looking at the issue altruistically..

If the Enugu the capital didn't go down so quickly, you most probably would have gotten the needed time essential for cobbling enough international support that would have won you the war. That federal Nigerias move was dicey in creating the impression that Biafra can't fight within different quarters amenable to helping her cause and also helped garner legislative support for the labor government in London that was wreckleslly bankrolling the war for Gowon. Infact, from my perspective, apart from the strong-headed refusal to reach agreements with the Soviet Union, that was the biggest mistake/failure of the Ojukwu war leadership. When you have hate filled enemies surrounding you, your capital should be at the center not at the borders with the enemy. Imagine Telaviv being situated right next to the Gaza border.. Netanyahu will be running isreal from a military bunker! Murtala and co who learnt from this and understood how vulnerable a border capital can be, made sure they switched from Lagos to Abuja after the war..

Most Imo graduates work outside Imo state including in fellow South Eastern states. Many travel outside the country and also contribute their quota in the billions of dollars remitted to Nigeria annually! There are no big markets in Imo per se. Folks prefer education more. The reason we top jamb every year! The only thing a governor in Imo state can do to quickly create jobs in such environment is to take the radical step of setting up a fund with about 50% of the budgeted income.., liase with a serious bank and use that as some sort of counterpart funding for anybody willing to start up any big or small scale industry in the state. In doing so, attempts should be made to get imo industrialists with huge investments outside the state to think home a bit. Likewise investors from neighboring state..

The same approach should be used with successful imolites outside the country. Help with provisions of land and reduction of taxes and disturbances by touts. Industrial growth targeted could be in agro related aress, in the healthcare industry or in households equipment production. In nearby markets outside Imo state, Imo citizens dominate the drugs and household import business. Imo government has to calibrate a method of helping them transition into domestic producers leveraging on their many years experience in these sectors. Pursued vigorously, in about a decade, this plan can help reduce unemployment with both direct and indirect employments, since it will be a bit cheaper for local industrialists to invest back home...
