it was actually HC130 not AC130...Two different modified C130 aircrafts....The HC130 has more transport/refueling Capabilities for Helicopters( Good for extraction/search)....AC130 Gunship mostly for surface to ground fire support like the A10.

With the exception of countries like China (which has a deployed conventional ICBM) and Russia (which is developing ICBM in conventional mode) and some countries that are towing the conventional payload ICBM path, no ICBM is built to deploy conventional munitions. They are all strictly built for nuclear payload delivery over long distances. So, before you start typing like a hollywood-movies induced kid, do understand what "what" means. The very day U.S. or Israel detonate any non-conventional payloads on Iran, that will be the day EVERYTHING changes for the entire world....because everyone of us become "fvcked". RETALIATION will follow immediately.... that is what is mutually assured. That is why ICBMs are for deterrence ONLY. Only the U.S. has used Nukes over a non-nuclear country TWICE. But, what they did in 1945 will not be the same in 2026, if they planned on repeating that. And for the record, the U.S. doesn't need to fire ICBM at Iran if they want to use nukes on them, there are submarine-borne and plane-dropped (strategic and tactical) nukes. ..ICBM isnt as precise as Using a bomber. the U.S. has the capability to convert systems like the Trident ICBM to carry conventional payloads, expanding their role beyond nuclear deterrence.
