Omo...this your matter na gbege ooh.

But you can scale through, if you can put up a very solid LOE.

What you may need to say is the fact that you were working in the other company on part time bases as a result of your relationship as family member (Child)
You will explain further on the fact that you needed to ensure things run smoothly due to your position in the family, since the company is owned by your parents.
You may need to attach prove to show the company actually belongs to the family.
Also state the fact that you needed to be independent was reason you got a job of your own.

My own opinion....

Thank you. If only I can upload a copy of the LOE I submitted last week. I stated that it was my first real experience and I took up the offer for both the family business and the company. I worked remotely for the family business and most of the responsibility was via mail and phone calls. But then I was full time with my sales organisation and I stopped working with our family business because I had began to enjoy my sales career and needed to focus on it. Every other roles I have after has been a sales jobs as this was where I needed to hone my skills. What I didn't do though was upload proof that there is a family business. I have all the certificates of registration and tax with me, I also have my statement of account where I received pay boldly writen far back as 2016 with the family business name. The school has a website with my mums name as proprietoress and I will share my birth certificate with my mother and father's name.

was this helpful at all?

Well I had already written an LOE 3 weeks ago, but it was not uploaded or something because they still asked me questions. Will have to rewrite another though with all the evidence.

Thank you

I wish to seek seniors input to my application basis the recent update which I got for my application.

My AOR was 14th December 2019 and I have basically waited for almost one year for a decision to be made. In between, I have order 2 GCMS notes, ordered the 3rd last week and I was just waiting for a response when this morning I got the procedural fairness letter.

What was highlighted is below;

Specifically, In your current application you declared that you had worked as Territory Pre-Sales Manager for company A Ltd from February 2016 to August 2017. You also provided a Confirmation of Employment Letter from the Human Capital Manager of Coy A, dated August 06 2019, which indicated that you had worked Territory Pre-Sales Manager Coy A Nigeria Ltd from February 2016 to August 2017.

However, in your temporary resident visa applications, S******* (submitted August 01, 2016) and S******(submitted March 09, 2017), you indicated that you were employed during that same period as a Procurement Officer for company B from February 2016. Given these discrepancies, I am concerned that you have not provided a truthful description of your employment activities between 2016 and 2017.

Permit me to give a little background to my work life;

I finished my masters from the United Kingdom and returned to Nigeria in 2015 December. My family owns an educational institution in Nigeria where I started some small time employment as a procurement officer by February 2016. Also, before I returned from the United Kingdom, I had started an interview process with another company as a Territory Sales Manager.

By January 2016, I was just concluding with Coy A and had my last interview that January. By February, I was offered an employment on probation for 6 months. However, I also decided to hone my skills in procurement with the family owned education institution in February. The job of a procurement officer was to sieve through quotations sent in by suppliers and pass on to the manager my recommendations. This was done mostly through emails as I had already started working with coy A. So it wasn't that tasking and really no one was expecting much from me, it was an experience for myself and to keep my brain active.

I applied to Canada to do an MBA in August 2016 and while filling my application, under work experience, I filled the procurement officer which I was doing at the educational institution. This is because when I asked for a reference letter from coy A, I was turned down as I had not completed my probation period. Besides, I needed just one reference letter and it was easier to get the letter from the educational institution being family owned than from Coy A. Please note, by this time, I had gathered experience in both procurement and Sales.

I stopped working for the educational institution by 2017 to focus fully on my sales career, especially as I had started thriving and receiving awards from there, I was also confirmed after the probationary period and had decided on focusing fully on my sales career. I reapplied for the study visa in March but did not change the work experience. I was denied based on POF.

FF to 2019, while filling my express entry profile, I claimed points for the territory sales manager from 2016 to 2017 as this is the NOC which I have over 3 years works experience. IRCC has sent an email to coy A and have also gotten a response. However, they have sent a procedural fairness letter citing possible misrepresentation of my work experience during that period. I have the offer letter from coy A, email correspondence before I got the job, when I started. I can request for the email turning down the reference letter request I made for reference to school, I have letters from when I was congratulated for a job well done, I have my signed letter of acceptance of the offer etc.

I need advise on if these can be presented as I have heard that a procedural fairness letter almost always precedes a refusal even after all evidence is submitted. I have been on this process for over a year and a lot of funds have gone into this.

I did raise a letter of explanation 1st week of October after seeing the update from the visa officer on my last GCMS note. Not sure if this got to them. My head is all done in at this point because of the time I have spent and the funds which have gone in. And it is sad that all the research I have done, I have not seen a positive after this PFL.

I think the biggest mistake was not including the family institution I worked in personal history, so it seems conflicting or like I was deliberately hiding something. I have contacted immigration lawyers but the rates for consultation only are pressing my neck.

I don't mind being bashed, but I really will like to have objective responses please.

Thank you as I anticipate your advise.

Hi everyone. A quick question. On the education history for this position, I looked for the school of my most recent degree and it was not available. I then typed in *Other (school name) as was requested but it still was not available. I also searched for *Other (Country)* but it still did not turn up. Please did any one encounter this problem? If so, what did you do? I have not been able to progress because of these issues. I am looking to mail them but I will probably not get a response till next week Tuesday, and I will prefer to get it over with before then. Any help

Package well received today, I Bless God. Now for those people who submitted in Ikeja, please calm down. As long as you successfully gathered all the documents which were required of you by the UKBA, your visa will be granted. These people need your money so if you didn't lie, use fake papers and you didn't forget anything, then there is nothing to worry about. I know it is easier said than done but honestly, worrying wouldn't change anything or speed up anything. You will be doing yourselves more harm than good...
I wish you all the best...

Yeye people. After paying 4k, they can't send individually. Issokay, no problem. Diarizz God and He is watching them.
They've dropped it at UPS now sha according to the update at VFS so I'm still waiting.

spikesC:

They always delay sending the parcels after they receive it. Probably waiting to forward more parcels together with it so as to minimize cost on their end and that is very very bad

If you can go back and get it stamped, then do that. Better safe than sorry. Mine was stamped though.

Miada: Hello all, my interview is tomorrow God willing the bank statement I was given is not stamped please does it need to be stamped? Speed is of the essence here so I can go back if it is. Thanx in advance for the help

Worry not my brother (or sister) as long as you have gotten that email, just give it an extra week, then go to the centre you applied and collect your passport (if you did not pay for parcel service).

profibadan: I got this message today: "Your application has been approved and the visa has been issued. We aim to return passports to the VAC within 2 working days. You can check the location of your passport at www.ukvac-ng.com." But my status on the ukvac website is still unchanged. What do I do?

Nah, not yet at Bristol. Should be leaving next weekend though. I am still waiting for them to send my documents back to me as I paid for parcel service. Its been about a week now. I dunno how to get in touch with them apart from emails. I haven't seen a number to call.

sukber:

Hi, let me help with the little knowledge I have. I submittrd in Ikeja so I don't know how Abujas proceedings are. I did not have an interview either for thesame reason you did not have so that cannot be the reason why there is a delay with yours. However, mine took 6 working days as I submitted my app on the 11th. I suggest you just wait it out since max is 15 working days. If it exceeds that, then begin to worry. The status for me on VFS changed today to application processing to Visa Application Centre so I am guessing it changes only once before the approval. Asides that, I think you should just talk to God. It is your best bet now, especially to calm your nerves.

mrbavs:

Justwise, SpikeC, some1 should please respond to my earlier message, 12th working day gone already, how many times does the tracking status change before getting an approval? Is there any1 here who also submitted on the said date and have gotten approval? the longer i wait the closer i get to my last resumption date.

I'm Ecstatic... just saw my approval e-mail in my Junk box. Thanks Justwise and SpikesC, I appreciate all your effort. I don't think anyone was as worried as I was cos I made so many mistakes while filling my form and I did not even get to sit for an interview but it came out fine. I got positive encouragement from those two fine men I mentioned above.
I submitted at Ikeja on the 11th August and the approval email came in today. Glory!!!

Message of Hope or .... I dunno what to make of this. Thanks though for providing an answer to my question. My worry is increasing. I intend going back to the VAC tomorrow even though I just got a message that my package has been discharged for review by the ECO.

Emmagency:

I know of someone who didn't had his own interview done also because of time constraint. He was told that if they needed any other information, he'll be contacted. Can't say if he was called back to sit for it or not as I didn't collect his contact line.

In my own case, although I had an interview session, i received a call from the British High Commission some days later asking if i had an interview session which I confirmed but unfortunately, the call got disrupted after that and they never called back.. I have since been issued my visa..

Hello spikesC, you have been very helpful and I appreciate the effort. I made photocopies of the documents but they were all taken from me eventually.
I have one other question though, I finished yhe process and submission by past 3pm and no interview was conducted. I asked like 3 different staff and after being so nasty, I couldn't even get a definitive answer from them. I was told that interview doesn't happen once it is past 2pm and then I asked what then happens to which I got three different answers...
1) if it is after 2pm, no need for an applicant to be interviewed, the documents supported is what will be used for accessment.
2) The interview will take place tomorrow
3) I will be called on the phone as regards the interview.

The issue I am having now is that I am not based in Lagos and I am to leave town tomorrow morning.

I have absolutely no idea what to do right now.

Any suggestions? *confused*

Photocopy your certificates and all docs you cant easily get back. They tend to withhold documents randomly

Please o, I am seeing many things and I have become a bit fretful.
I have filled and submitted my application but some answers i supplied are beginning to confuse me.
Okay, for the english language requirement, my school didn't ask me to submit any english language document and I even submitted my ielts cert to them but they didn't put it in my CAS. So in that section, I chose assessment by HEI and english language waived as a result of me being a gifted student. I hope I haven't done wrong there.

Secondly, the part where they asked me of I have been assessed by any other means, I picked 'yes, by academic certificate' as stated on my CAS.

Thirdly, I made a mistake when filling the section where they asked me if I have had any other Visas to the UK . The mistake was in the date. The expiration was supposed to be 06 Apr 2012 but I put 2011 by mistake. I sent a message to the Visa4Uk email to notify them of the mistake, I hope they get to fix it before my appointment time on monday. I was told by a friend that I should tell the people who will interview me.

Should I be worried? Confused much.

Oh wow, bless! I used my other email and it worked. But the email I used before wasn't for a Tier 4 visa, it was for visitors visa. In any case, thanks a bunch. I've scaled through that stage. Thanks to everyone who advised, I appreciate.

muami:

It could be that your email has been registered before with the system. I had a similar issue in the past. Try to register with another email address ( if you have another).

I already sent an email to them. I really wanted to do it today but thanks anyway, I will give an update of what happens by friday.

thank you!

spikesC:

Then it's definitely a system error.
They are even scheduled for maintenance tomorrow from 9am to 4pm

Just send an email to them, notifying them of the error. Then check back tomorrow evening

I am having a little issue though. I just tried registering on the UK website so that I can apply for my Visa and book an appointment date. It keeps telling me that my registration is unsuccessful. I don't know what the problem is. Could it be that the website is up only during working hours?
Please a reply will be highly appreciated.
