Please help me! I have a very serious issue on my hands. I opened this account because of this, for advice from you. It's actually a long story, but I will try to keep it short.

I have been in a relationship with my gf for 3yrs+ now. We had both not been ready for marriage at the time. She said she had things that she wanted to achieve so she would give herself 5yrs. I felt the same way too but I was looking at my age to settle down as 29 or 30. She was almost 21 at the time, I was 24 at the time.

When I met her she was a shaken, frightened, stubborn and love-starved young lady. Her parents were trying to force into marriage with a "family friend's" son whom she did not like plus she was not ready to settle down at the time. Her father is a retired military man and would use extreme measures like locking her up in a room for days. Anyways, I supported her in everyway I could at the time even at a time meeting the so-called "family friend's" son. I did not intend to get into a relationship at the time but certain things happened and I began to fall in love with her plus she needed love and care so badly. She is a very smart, motivated and beautiful young lady.

We got into a relationship and with time, the pressure as regards marrying the guy died or so I thought. From then till now, we have both been striving hard to make things get better. She was trying to run a business while I was working at a small magazine company. Unfortunately I admit, even though I was not earning much at the magazine, I was careless with my finances. I would spend on her, us and on a couple of mundane things but the bulk was on her and us.

Well, the financial crunch hit and I lost my job being owed several months in back-salary. I had very little savings. Things were not going too well with her in her business either. And so what little savings I had plus borrowed money from my parents joined with her own funds(including borrowed money), we started a business. We have been almost a year into the business now. Things are so dull. She hardly comes to the office anymore. I manage to go with little funds raised from teaching at minor places plus my parents support. We have been trying a "new" field though which seems a bit positive.

You have the back story now. Here is the problem.

Of recent, her body language and speech + whatsapp chat seemed to be dodgy, non-committal and atimes even coated with disdain. I knew something was wrong. I had wanted to talk to her and she said she wanted to discuss something with me as well, but she had basically refused to show-up when I call her out. Well, I was not so much a fan of going to her house because of chances of meeting her mum plus her several siblings But I braved it and showed up at her house on Sunday. I asked her what the matter was.

She told me of how her family was pressuring her and almost everyone she met was telling her to try and settle down. She said how she knows that I am not ready to settle down anytime soon. She said she had been praying about it and she has received an answer that she should settle down and that she do so before this time next year. She wants to get married before her birthday. People, she said several things and I said several things and I walked out angrily and dazed but I just gave the highlight of the issue. I could not wrap my head properly around it for a while but later I calmed down and I asked her a few questions.

It seems her mind is made up on marriage. She says she would prefer if it was me because she loves me, but if not, it is the will of God. She said some other things. I am just dazed and I don't know how to take it or how to act or what to do.

My life is not where I want it to be. I don't have the resources to turn things around right now. I am in a quagmire. Please Help!

Although this post is more than a year old, I am happy to have come across it as I am currently in this same situation you were in last year.
After paying $302 for WES to evaluate my transcripts, they informed me just on 17/07/2017 that they have sent verification request to my schools after a week of receiving my documents. I am aware that WES sometimes send email for schools that make use of that for verification) and regular hardcopy mail too.
Please from your experience, it takes how many days/weeks for the regular hardcopy mail from WES to get to the school in Nigeria? I need to know this so that I can know when to go and sit on their neck in my schools so that they can verify and reply WES on time as I'm having less than 3weeks deadline for the school I'm applying to to receive the evaluation report from WES.

From my experience. about a week from when WES update your profile to awaiting verification from your school, you should notify your school about verifying your transcript. It's also better and faster if you have someone on the inside say an assistant registral. It will make it easy since you close to the deadline and verification may require you paying to your school again.

There's no date for camp yet, Ramadan or no Ramadan. It doesn't affect anything. There may not be camp sef, because bahari is a failure . Given up already.

for me i regreted not learning the laptop flashing/repairing i wanted to learn since because of this NYSC shifting of dates... But anyway, all hopes are not lost. I enjoyed cooking for my aged parents. At least the blessings that follows it go carry me go a long way because i cant stay this long months with them again.. Because from NYSC, na so me de go look for my future. my advice, lets keep calm, i believe good things on the way. Is better they camp us when the fund is released than camping us and not having fund to pay for our alawi.. That one worst pass..... Find something good to engage in. I believe before the ending of this month, we will all be in camp by His grace. Every disappointment is a blessing. Example, you can engage to work in any workshop, cultivate fruits, e.g cucumber that will be ready for harvest when u could have finish your camp, help your parents in this farming season or in their various shops,. Try to achieve something before the so 20th that is camp. Seems na cucumber planting i go face now and i engage in my room bussiness(browsing, writing, typing assignments for people). Stay calm. Nobody told u camp is June 20th, even if Bihari him self gave the date u know it's not true since we all know this to be the worst govt ever in Nigeria . So please stop propagating June 20th so PCM don't go adjusting to that date and then become disappointed again as motality will be too much to bear. So no date yet is better than fake June 20th. Shameful government. Never been heard in the history of this country...delaying Graduate for more than 5months for a mandatory scheme that adds nothing to the value o graduates due to their outright incompetence . this government really needs to situp and do the needfull about this embarrassing situation. #lame government.

Very funny. The bail out funds given to states to pay salaries ,how did it go down? What's the criteria for getting the extremely poor Nigerians because more than one third o Nigerians re extremely poor. This isnt a sensible measure to out in place before removing subsidy and increasing fuel price with a geometric increase in inflation. Refineries should be put in place to work optimally and news once raised. Minimum wage should be increase to curb this unbearable hardship this govt has caused and not paying 5k to 1 million Nigerians like they re the only once affected ,that's if they would even see the money. This proposed measures by the government sounds lame and very clueless....

U wil be notified when to print in due course. So we all all together in this. Hope you understand?

coopers were deployed to Adamawa and yobe last year but not Bornu. Are you saying PCM wil be deployed to Bornu? because the DG said that won't happen until the end of the year when the military has archived remarkable victory in that state.

And also i made phone calls to these IDPs states that of Bornu said the same thing they told me at de Hqts.you can also call the BORNO line nw to confirm.

The most irritating thing is that Nigerian graduates/oiths have become so insignificant that they do not see the need to properly address us on whats really happening. Their Twitter handle is full of pics of this nd dat (fantastically nonsense stuffs) but not one single response to the numerous questions from graduates awaiting service. What have we become? How low have we gone even with our education? I am pained, deeply pained.

This one of the best write up hv seen on this forum today following the text msg- dash board saga. Guys we should utilize this advice.
