Hello House. So i promised to share my good news with y'all. I got my visa approval mail today. Already been to vfs to pick up my passport and my sons'. Am soo happy . Finally going to see my husband after 2 years of him being apart . Wish you all the best of luck .

He has already submitted an application. All he is asking is if it's necessary to submit or add his wife's pgwp to his application since his wife's study permit will be expiring March this year. So what's your take/ opinion? His application has already been sent August last year.

if he wants to rely on the wife's PGWP for his OPen work permit don't you think the wife must secure employment in certain category of occupation (NOC A or O). Pls look into this

I also think the vo's know that after a student is done with school, he or she is entitled to pgwp (the number of years he/she studied)so if they are to issue you visa, they are going to give you the date your wife's pgwp will expire . But let's hear others opinions too .

I don't think that is necessary. If you have stated in your application that your wife is a student , then that won't be a problem. Once she gets her pgwp from the border,she can then apply for it to be on her passport instead of it just being on a piece of paper. That was what my husband did and it didn't take up to two weeks for the process. His passport was mailed after being stamped.

It's very obvious that the processing time updated on cic site ain't true.thats why I had to create a tabular list to have an idea of the amount of weeks we have to get a response. From the first person (princesspass ) to the last person here that got a response (Jden) we are looking at 30 weeks to 34 weeks . It's crazy but what can we do. The online process is too slow and it's unfair. From what I have also observed for online applicants , once called for Medicals, it almost takes another month for passport request or otherwise. My opinion tho. My prayer is that by January they should hasten their process or do something about this because they have a lot of backlogs !!!!its well
