If had refused, the election would have been cancelled in some areas and rescheduled. There will be revolt, the North will go gaga and part of the West. Southeast and South south will be calm but will later retialate.
Some will be for and others against. The military will move in and to queel the riots,possibly a take over. Boko Haram will have a field day, Niger delta militants will take advantage of the commotion to grind the oil sector to a standstill,biafra agitators will step in forming a sepratist movement. It would have been total chaos and the genocide would have been unprecedented. The international community will step into the confusion,they also will be overwhelmed cos it won't be about election again but division of the country.
Millions will die cos Nigeria will become YUGOSLAVIA... War with different faces!!!

These presidential approvals were well within the clear constitutional authority of the Acting President, who needed to take emergency steps to forestall acute food shortages in the affected States and there was nothing illegal or unconstitutional about them. The approvals were duly communicated by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of Central Bank, Director General of NEMA and the Minister of Finance for implementation.
Hatred and tribalism have blinded some people sense of reasoning ,love for others and fear of God .there was an emergency ,a good leader will first come to recused of his people first , the guy was the acting President for God sake . Okay should have awaited for the National Assembly to approval the money,which may take weeks or months before giving the money for the people to eat . Thank God is not that he used the money to pay personal bill, or approved it for his family members . It's for Nigerian in distress . NLC was wrong on this particular case. Negotiations were still ongoing and a deadlock had not been declared. After all, the triparte committee had even promised to reconvene before the strike action was embarked upon.

This regime has approved and paid a lot of billions of naira it inherited from past governments (e.g, Nigerian Railways retirees, pensioners, 20 billion naira recently released for universities, etc.).

Lastly, NLC should not expect a minimum wage of N56k because not all states are even paying the current N18k minimum wage. I think N35 should be an ideal minimum wage (fyi, minimum wage is for entry level cleaner, driver, messenger, etc.) and each state should jerk it up as per their ability/resources.
