tecno has similar issue. just delete/uninstall the old version and download another one. that should solve your problem

Did that and not only does the fone still give me same error it is now even without its own WhatsApp, so no hope of updating if via the playstore

No becos it came pre-installed with a playstore, I am actually looking for a way to make an apk WhatsApp work on it. I sent my version to it, the response was "error parsing the app" downloaded from its own browser, same response, sent another modded WhatsApp same response, enter the playstore to download and I was getting different error like 404, and different & random ones so I just left the problem at that for now

I'm not new here but I've seen a lot of comments on many thread by "nobody" and I deduced it wasn't a single person who has been doing that (by "doing" I meant hiding his or her username like a super spy cool kinda thing). It has been a phenomenon to me but now that you've made it clear it's now even more trickier becos how can a terminated account be still used to post?

I think he meant a "chinko lenovo" (op no offense o, those brands are what is popular everywhere now, being sold to novice android users) those phones wicked small. I myself am battling with a problem of updating the WhatsApp on it. When I saw this thread I thought I might get insight from those who comment here.

indeed those were days worth remembering but not worth going back to because I can remember clearly when one "big bros" for my street bpught d 1st tecno tab (something D5 or so sha) and he was running the 2go android version and I begged him just to let me have a glimpse (my brothers and I were still running it on java and forming big boy with N200 earpiece and 2GB memory card) but he sent me away like a dog...Now I am probably using a better android than his (who knows) with correct memory card of 32GB...How time flies
