Unless you are an average user, just buy a good power bank and carry your charger always. I'm a heavy user, hence my opinion.

Hmmm...insightful advice, well for the record I live where there is almost 24/7 light but on the plus side I have a 12,000 mah jua energy power bank and another good 20,000 mah power bank (So I'm covered all through a week).

It's abysmal dat itel rarely has 16gb ROM and definitely cannot do more dan 1gb RAM. They are only adding new OS to old scraps.

2ndly, I think I am okay with a device having repair center within my reach - Lagos not some far-away-shipped-to-Nigeria product without any hope of repair should it get damaged or in need of body parts

3. It is a very good buy for me regardless of any alternative in its price range

Why I am asking this is when I was trying to root it ehn, it gave me serious tough time to root successfully but I was never able to use superuser which is the only way to take the ROM backup (with the help of some apps sha)

And I would Ike you to drop ur WhatsApp digits (if u av any oda fone to use for chat) so we can talk better

But I would strongly suggest you start preparing to take it to the office for full repair without any complications

Well as an advice against future reoccurence

Things to check to spot fake
1. Is 3G stagnant without turning data on yet?
(there are exceptions to this sha)
2. Does d display looks vibrant? (If it's not itel product sha)
3. What does AVAILABLE storage says not TOTAL
4. Check the boot logo
5. Cross check d spec online with the fone u may want to buy (in dis case there is no way dual SIM carries 4G at d same time)
6. Try to multitask a little bit on it, if it hangs at any point while navigating between 3 to 4 apps only (den run for your life) LOL
7. Finally use es file explorer to see the real internal storage or conclusively use CPU Z app
to verify RAM, ROM, and display and chipset

Those are what I use to spot fake "wannabe's" droids

That reminds me the day I almost bought a fake Camon C7 for my younger broda

I can't say anything with certainty but the difference is l8 has bigger ba3 Dan d mi-tribe while mi-tribe clearly beats it in speed operations so if it were up to me to choose preference it will always be the mi-tribe x

There's​ manual way of finding out a good charger.

Plug your charger to your phone.
Since your charger ampere is higher than your phone's it should charge your phone at 1% per minute. Or even at 2% per minute. But it can never be less than 1% per minute.

Now it's takes 4 minutes get an additional 1%, then it's a fake charger.

That's the trick i used in buying my original infinix charger.

In fact go to the market and look for infinix original charger. About 2k.
The spelling of infinix feels rough and imprinted.
The spelling of infinix on the fake is smooth.

Armed with this 2 info, there's no reason you should buy fake.

No 1. "Avoid charging your battery at critically low leve " is billshit. Smartphones have battery app software preinstalled that read battery level and charging frequency. Charging a smartphone often when battery isn't low confuses the battery app software and the battery start to fail without lasting normal duration.

I can't help but comment on airtel's regular network disappearance during usage (night downloading) - sometimes it's fairly fast and sometimes I feel like breaking the SIM card into 2

But MTN na baba any day any time, fair data prices - doesn't zap anyhow - what u use is what's taken, if it's worst for it, it will still be fairly stable but on regular basis it's super fast, especially night browsing

Etisalat obviously has no competitor, as long as speed is concerned (unless their coverage never reach ur side)

glo is a mudafucking line I tried to give the benefit of the doubt twice with monthly plans and sincerely speaking I wished I hadn't bought their SIM at all - its speed during d day is like 5-25kb per/sec - suitable for mere chatting and reading news but downloading apps of 10mb on playstore seems like a never ending journey. I had to be waking at night to enjoy its speed on average of 100-250kb while downloading. Bottom line I hate glo with passion now - I don't even wanna know where it's fast.

BTW my judgment is based on my Location: Lagos and getting value for money.

glo isn't worth the headache they give an average user of their line.
