Nigeria does not have money for any subsides. BY August 2022, we were spending 90% of our revenue on debt service. When tinubu removed subsidyin May 2023, that went down to 63% of our revenue, and since he has brought subsidy back, it';s probably rising again.

The subsidy he is even managing to pay is eating N1trillion monthly according to some people.

SO, either you pay half your income in tax to help fund subsidy, you and me and all Nigerians including the very poor....or we pay for subsidy, and fill the deficit with more loans and more loans.

Just because your friend's father bought the latest Playstation for your friend does not mean your father has the money to do likewise.

I don't want to dwell in the argument with you but we are all in it. With high cost of living, and inflation, time will tell how far he can go with his policies without human face. Cheers

every country there are subsidie, if they have issue with it, the government has to fix it before removing it if at all they want to. Removing subsidie without adequate planning for the ripple effect is a disaster just as it currently. You can support government as some of you always do, but their are consequences for every action. This is the most wicked and insensitive government ever, don't forget NEPA was increase few days back. Government is for the people not for the president or his tribe alone.

some of you are not getting it. Everything about you guys pro government is tribalism. We're talking against destroying properties while there are alternatives. Look at the property you showed, it employ Nigerians, all gone even when things are so hard under the same government and serious enough, the road may take years to be completed why the rush? I complained against the same thing in Abuja in some years back as well. Aso rock in Abuja is not in Abuja master plan why is it standing? Nothing wrong with rerouting. There are alternatives to everything why destroying properties anyhow when there are alternatives. I have challenged Landmark to seek legal redress because this is a very huge investment and we need to settle this matter of who really owns the Ocean Coastline once and for all

I also challenged Landmark to publish his documents to the general public and also for everyone involved to openly produce all certified drawings and plans of both the old abd new coastal roads

Sometimes it is better to keep quiet before you get all the facts

lol, you fail to understand that, under the same landuse Act that you're indirectly referring to, Government has the power to revoke the title documents for overriding public interest, that's exactly what government did. If the owner challenge government, he will fails even with valid title documents. In the case of over riding public interest title documents is immaterial. So what people are saying is that, government should have rerouting instead of demolishing the place as it will discourage other investors even though they have the power to. Aso rock currently sitting on illegality and is not demolish. Aso rock is not in Abuja master plan but government in her wisdom allow it to stand.
