Let me give you an example. The title of Olu of Warri is called Ogiame. This literally means Lord of the waters. Ogiame and Ogiso are both Edoid words having the prefix "Ogie" meaning Lord.
The other words "iso" and "Ame" means Sky and water respectively.
These words Ogiso and Ogiame do not mean descendant from sky or water. As the Itsekiri people do not see their king as descending from water despite being called Ogiame.

Not same. Kings of heaven/sky is just a title. There is no narration of the kings descending from the sky.
I repeat no Benin myths/folklore has any story of Ogisos descending from the sky.

But the Yorubas have Oduduwa descending from the sky with chains.

Izoduwa isn't Oduduwa. Oduduwa is from Oke-Ora. Ugbo people of present day Ondo State confirmed this in their sources when recounting the clash with Obatala.
One of ya Benin historians confirmed ya lost prince died while wandering.
Now to the issue of falling from sky. Oduduwa lived in the mountain terrain of Ife which is Oke-Ora (Ora Hill), Google it. That's why some said he fell from the sky. The earliest writers of Yoruba history i.e Samuel Johnson wrote emphatically that Oduduwa was a foreigner to Yoruba land that he came from Egypt or Middle East.

But now we know Oduduwa came from Igodomigodo. This is the reason Oranmiyan was invited to come and rule Benin because he is a descendant of Oduduwa.

Oduduwa's origin has been found. He came from Igodomigodo in present day Edo state.

As at the time of Igodomigodo, Present'-day Edo was ruled by rulers who were called Ogiso which literally means king of the sky.

So when Oduduwa got to ife, they asked him who he was and he told them he is a descendant of king of the sky.

That's how Yoruba mythology of Oduduwa descending from the sky started.
