Why is the truth triggering una like this, the characters more pronounced in some regions than other regions, in the east for example with too much pressure being brought from parents and community young men are very desperate for money, lots of drug movers, kidnappers, get rich quick schemes, west is more of occultic killings cos of the high number of babalawos, north has the menace of religion, religious killings and blind followership, so many idol hands ready to do the devils bidding in the name of their God, though se of us feel any religion that asks you to dish out what you cant take is false religion...

Why dont you carry megaphone and start shouting all the vices associated with different regions in Nigeria? So we know you like shouting truth.

Nairaland has been reduced to a place of ethnic bashing and the owner has come out several times threatening bans on those who do it but its all lip service. If not someone like you should have been restricted from commenting until you understand that bigotry is bad for a public forum like this

But isnt it true, no be fight or tribalism mattet, its been an existing problem in those regions for years, exists in others too but not as much..
What does this forum say about ethnic profiling?

Some of you just come online and spew nonesense like you dont have brains.
Better to even call the mods to hide your comment and warn you with a ban.

Best decision i ever made .

You see living abroad is not easy especially for new immigrants. You virtually have to work extra hard to settle in.

If your country of choice is in Europe, then the language barrier is there which will ensure you are only considered for the hard/stressful jobs available until you get comfortable with the language. But the positive thing is that you earn a living wage. The weather is another cause of concern.
The winter months are usually harsh and you have to adapt to working under the biting cold.

Then there is systemic racism especially at the work place and rarely anywhere in the country.

In the midst of all these problems, when you look back at Nigeria, you console yourself and feel good for leaving Nigeria behind.

Is Jamb a money generating venture for the federal government?

This fools in government are extorting the Nigerian masses and tagging it as revenue.

Jamb results are supposed to be valid for atleast 3 years but they intentionally made it one year so they can keep fleecing the masses.

Why should banks give you dollars? For what? I am asking to learn.

If we can have a unified exchange rate, close all domiciliary accounts, and transfer the value of whatever currency is there to naira, depositing it into the owners' bank accounts. If we have a system that auto-converts all incoming funds in foreign currency to naira and deposits it into the receivers' accounts, and also a system that, when shopping online internationally, will take the naira from your cards and automatically convert it to the foreign currency as done in other countries, we will have less need for dollars. This means less pressure on the naira. I believe if these steps are taken, the naira will gain massively.

Where do you get the dollars you want to convert naira into?

And blocking other channels from selling forex has severe consequences.

Nigeria produces next to nothing that it consumes.

This is a hard choice that can give results but is Nigeria ready for that?

Like close the borders from imports and force everyone to use home-made.

The citizens will resist it because the political leaders themselves are economic saboteurs.

They patronize schools abroad, hospitals abroad and store loots abroad. This is grand unpatriotism.

You have got a real solution

Declare BDC's and currency speculators illegal

If one needs foreign exchange, approach the bank
More like cyclic redundancy!

The reason there is a parallel market in the first instance is because banks and government are unable to meet forex needs.
So people who need dollars for private business and other needs buy it on the streets at higher rate.

When you tag BDCs and other channels illegal, how do you meet the dollar needs of everybody that needs dollars?
