Kukutente23: It is not religious brainwashing It's a fact Why do we have people born blind? Why do some people die young while others grow old? The universe is not fair in itself and the Creator made it so. If you believe that people strictly get what they deserve from life then you have to explain why some are born into rich families while others are born poor Or why those who live relatively healthy lives end up terminally sick while those who live haphazardly hardly fall sick. God chooses to be involved in some situations. That's why the word miracle exists. That word is a product of human experience. All of humanity with their different races and history all agreed to the existence and supremacy of God over the affairs of man. That ingrained knowledge is not by accident. God is never involved. Before the brainwashing of Africans/Nigerians by Abrahamic religion, we had our own religious beliefs though not perfect but had many truths within it. One of such truths is reincarnation. Reincarnation ensures every one is given many opportunities to correct the wrongs of their past lives as well suffer for wrongs they did Before. That someone is born into a wealthy family and another into poor family is as a result of Karma or conditions necessary to learn certain life lessons. Deapite we al being humans, our lives are never the same course. Its like a school where the students are in different classes and hence studying different courses and answering different exam questions. We are all not in the same classes. Some students fail a class and they must repeat. However in the very beginning of life, everyone is giving a fair chance of starting at the same starting point. But Christianity came and threw all this knowledge away and replaced it with Adam and eve fairytales stories. |

Kukutente23: 1. God is biased. He is biased towards those he loves and against those He hates. So thinking God is like a central referee in football is ignorance. 2. God chooses prayers to answer. He accepted the offering of Abel and rejected that of Cain. In the same vein, he chose to answer the prayers of the sinner and disregards the prayers of the Pharisees. 3. Prayers do work. But the bible says faith without works is dead. If the Lord does not build the house, they labour in vain who build it. Hardwork is not a sure means to success. If it were, bricklayers and carpenters will be the richest and most successful people on the face of the earth. It is only hardwork that God blesses that leads to success That God is biased is religious brainwashing. I have seen devoted religious people in difficult situations and prayers didn't help till the situation overwhelmed them. I have seen those who didn't believe in God or prayers, come out of difficult situations too. God is never involved. Its all probability and chance. Nature must take its course according to natural laws. Faith needs work to produce results but work doesn't need faith. At the end, its all work. Faith is scam. No one has ever used faith to do anything but work is a natural requirement to get things done. |

In that statement of yours you just confirmed by yourself that there's God,See in the place of success there is human factor and there is God'sfactor. Do you have Comprehension issues? The statement says " there is no God anywhere that answers prayers". You chose to break it into two. |

Religion and useless prayers.
Wait before you come for me let me explain. As an adult, you should know so many truths and facts, amongst them that " Prayer doesn't work and there is no God anywhere that answers prayers".
God answering prayers would mean he is biased and unfair. This pastor is praying for Nigeria to win, likewise some pastors are also praying for Dr Congo to win. Which of the prayers should God answer?
It is a natural law on the earth that if you want something done, go ahead and take action. Seek knowledge and work hard and most of what you desire will come to pass. God has given humans everything man needs to succeed.
Praying actually means you asking God to interfere in natural laws he has made. It's like going against himself.
Every adult human should know prayers is scam. Its is useless and only a lazy person prays and expects results. Prayers is not different from wishing a person happy birthday. |

FreeStuffsNG: Smh. It's obvious that you are struggling to admit the reality staring you in the face that nobody outside those original owners are behind the tussle .
I have read an independent report on this issue from a reputable international magazine like over a month ago before this current report and the foreign media report was so detailed that it referenced the historic perspective to this tussle.
Like then, there was a power tussle among the ruling elite. The account was that of the tussle between the Obaseki of Benin and the Omon'Oba of that time and some families, especially the Bini ruling elite who are Yoruba who came originally from Ile-Ife like the Omon'Oba descendants, were divided in their loyalty between the Obaseki and Omon'Oba.
If you are from Benin then it's obvious that you are not from the Benin royalty that's Yoruba-descendant or these ruling elite families who came along with Ọmọ Ọba Oranmiyan from Ile Ife to rule Benin and their descendants, including the Omon'Oba, still ruling Benin till date.
You are so ignorant about this issue that you can't see the underpinnings. The current Governor is Esan yet the power tussle even boiled over and the Omon'Oba has lost against the other owners.
Have you asked yourself who Omon'Oba is losing against? PMB was alleged to have instructed that he be given the artifacts . It was not done yet the issue degenerated so bad that he is now being compelled to sign collective ownership or forget about it. The stake is high and others have valid and legitimate claim of owning the artifacts.
Who else would or could be interested in the artifacts if not those who own it and have legitimate claims to it if you reason the issue intelligently.
Las las, if the tussle among the ruling Bini elite don't resolve, the artifacts will be moved to national museum in Abuja or Lagos and revenue from it shared with the Edo state government and the LGAs that the original owners hail from. Finally you are coming out with your tribal agenda. There are no elites in Edo land that currently claim Yoruba. And i repeat no one is dragging artifacts with the palace/oba. Carry your yoruba ethnic bigotry go one corner. |
Politics › Re: Why Protesters Invaded The Museum In Benin City by saddler: 11:16am On Nov 11, 2025 |
FreeStuffsNG: You're the one who should stop the nonsense after admitting that they don't all belong to the palace. The descendants of the owners are alive.
Your claim that owners are dead is preposterous and cloaked in mischievous ignorance because if that's considered then the point of returning it looks unjustified.
The best institution to represent all the parties is government.
If this ownership is not tidied then very soon there will be serious legal issues because the other owners will demand that their family portions be returned. It was the whole village that was ransacked and not only the palace.
Return will only mean returned if the true owners recieve what has been returned or compensated to transfer the ownership to the palace but if it's transferred to government there will be no such legal conundrum. Like i said, there is no one who can present credible evidence that artifacts where looted from their home during the expedition. And if they have any, they can approach the court to seek redress. However it is common knowledge that most of the artworks were looted from the palace. Your agenda and propaganda may disagree with the obvious. Moreover, no Edo person or family will drag artifacts with the Oba of Benin or the palace because he is the custodian of the culture of the people. Only outsiders like yourself that are paid peanuts to spew propaganda online will be asserting a non-existent friction between the Edos and the Oba. |
Politics › Re: Why Protesters Invaded The Museum In Benin City by saddler: 9:53am On Nov 11, 2025 |
FreeStuffsNG: I am not sure that they were properties of the Oba. These were private properties and not all could possibly belong to the palace. It was the whole village that was ransacked and not only the palace.
Some of the descendants of the true owners may be codedly protesting against getting their properties to be confiscated without receiving credit or compensation.
The Oba doesn't create artifacts nor carve yet descendants of these people are still alive. Stop the nonesense trash! The Benin empire had a craft guide that was owned and administered by the Oba. The guide is still in existence till today. Their work is to produce artwork depicting history, important persons, ceremonies. So most of those artifacts are properties of the Oba of Benin. It maybe true that some of the works were also owned by private individuals but no one presently alive can lay claim to anything because there is no evidence. |
